Shoodge ran Death Row like it was a gang or a set. He was stuck in that mindset and 2pac got drawn into the same mindset. Most of the other guys had grown up in a world of gangs and sets, and had chosen not to become gangsters or gang-bangers, but to focus on their music. I think Eazy respected that with NWA and was fine with the guys staying clean (in LA terms) but Suge, I mean Shoodge, didn't want that separation, resulting in a culture of violence, beefs, and cortisol (the stress hormone). Not ideal in a creative atmosphere. I also wonder if Suge was a roider, compared to everyone else who were stoners. Maybe he had imposter syndrome, being a big physical blood surrounded by all these talented crips.
