I had trouble suspending disbelief in most of her adult roles. It was just Emma Watson being Emma Watson and trying to act like someone else. It just didn't work.

Good for you Emma I think when you done something for so long you begin to think wow I been doing this a long time. I need a change it take a mature humble person to say this and Emma you are humble. One got to be brave when we make these changes. I recently made a huge change in my career as I came to a point where I thought I given all I can give I can’t give anymore than I have already. I was a bit scared to make the change in my career but it was the best decision I made at first hard for me but now I am beginning to settle into my new job role and it been a great experience I learnt so much about my chacter and me as a person.

It's important to enjoy life. So many people don't and continue doing what they are doing regardless of the impact on their mental and physical health. Emma is providing a great example of how self care should take priority and getting back to basics is definitely a great grounding technique. Thank you, Emma, for being such an amazing role model in life and in art.

No, it's not easy for most people but it might be a necessity. Look at how many people have already "dropped out" of modern life because they don't like the costs, both personal and global. I believe the phenomenon is called the great "attrition". If business would learn how to value people, to value life, over profit, it would make it easier. But greed is something that destroys life as well as artistry. We have the evidence of that around the globe. Walking away may be the hardest yet most powerful thing we can ever do for ourselves. The fact is that she’s not sufficiently talented at acting to be as famous as she is. And yet, she is intelligent enough to make an impact. Having a voice that does not hide behind a character is where I see her thriving. Her best performance to date was the UN speech.

She is sensible and intelligent enough to avoid a public career where she would be pushed into certain speeches; she have more money than she can spend in a lifetime and are living the best life, with prosperity and freedom. Emma was part of an extraordinary team, in an extraordinary series and now, she can live whatever she wants, whenever and wherever she wants.

Idk the "stepping away" seems mutual. Her post Potter movies underperformed and in the ones that did well, she had a small supporting role. And that's fine because she's earned her "F U money" doing all those Potter movies and can afford to chill out for the rest of her life.

You've got to be kidding? 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Little Women' were extremely successful, and Emma played a leading role in 2 of them. Her role in Little Women wasn't exactly small either. But she's been in the movie industry since childhood and perhaps, it is not a career that she would have chosen for herself as an adult. She was good in Harry Potter and Beauty and the Beast but I totally see how it may feel like a dead end for her. Fortunately for Emma Watson, she is still young and with her intelligence and (well earned) wealth can afford to change a career path and become whatever she wants.
