The costume designers for this season really were genius's and figured out the multiple rider problems that ryuki had. I really love how they made all the costumes super simplistic and didnt try to make things super complicated like ryuki. They only had to worry about designing the headpieces and for the main riders they could create their own suits, while the extras could have just the simplistic weapons.

I love how the protagonist is already experienced with the Rider system. Reminds me of Kabuto. Love the battle royale genre and I love how there used to be more Riders before the 3 riders we have at the beginning of the season.

My favorite thing about Geats' gimmick is this sort of "built your own rider" concept, you can have any top armor, leg armor or weapon you want over a basic rider suit who's only unique feature is the helmet. Its almost like customizing your character in an MMO which for a season about a massive game, its so perfect it has to be intentional. I was a bit worries about Ace being generic cocky dude but then the actual episode made me very interested in seeing what his deal is, why he fights and all that. Kind of like with Don Momotaro originally seeming bland but has actually gotten pretty interesting as the show goes on I really cant wait to see where this show's gonna go but i can already tell im gonna love it

I like how this season immediately broke Ryuki's record for fastest Rider to die in it's first episode

Geats is having a bad-ass ego effect to the point that he wanted to restart the world in the process, I love how the actor managed to really just be cool in the Desire Grand Prix in any situation, also the friggin pistol gun turning to a sniper is a really good move to take.

I love how Ace is awesome, really REALLY cool and he know it Hideyoshi Kan acting just adds for it, like Hiro Mizushima as Tendou in Kabuto

The "Revolve-On" looked rather cool, I really think we might as well get a spin-off of the previous Grand Prix that took place along with many riders.

Yeah I feel pretty confident in saying that Geats had the best 1st episode in all of rider. All the characters seem great, the suits are awesome. Yuya really out here giving the fans what they wanted. Buffa has the best suit so far.

The fact was it was meant to be the last Grand Prix. She said it in the scene with The panda, Geats and Buffa. Geats created another Grand Prix when he recreated the world

So I did the same with Kamen Rider and Geats won me over in the first episode! Thank you, for showing me these incredible series!

I like how you say that this is the best premiere ever for every premiere that comes out

This premier brings so many questions! Was this Ace's first time winning? Watts going on with the world ending? Does death as a rider = perma death or are they also brought back with the world reset? Does the winner(God of Desire) shape the world to how they want? Can they choose not to bring back people who were killed? Is the reset something that just happens after each round(?) or only when there's a winner? How did they know Ace was fox themed when they were behind him?

There were a number of unexpected things in this opening episode. Ace saying a line from Dumb and Dumber is high on the list. Keiwa/Neon: She's/He's not my girlfriend/boyfriend! Ace: So your telling me there's a chance?

I love the esthetics of this season and the way it works as not just a game but also a race I love that really looking forward to this season and also really hyped for the ninja buckle

I get the feeling a conflict through the season is gonna have to do with the fact that peoples worlds are literally being changed and reset against their will. Aspects of their lives could be altered in minor or major ways and they’d never know. For all we know, in the next episode, that guys sister won’t exist or something. I could be wrong of course, but it’s just one of many potential implications about the DGP and what the “God of Desire” does.

If Geats is consistent like episode 1, then Kamen rider Geats can potentially be my favourite Kamen rider series along with Zero One. Notice the Desire Grand Prix’s building is equivalent to an airship in Warzone or a Battle-bus in Fornite. On top of that, if a rider dies that means they can’t respawn like an actual Battle Royale game!

I saw a video of the driver hack and apparently there is Boost Mark 2 and Mark 3. So I think boost raise buckles are really important.

I think the relationship between Keiwa and Ace will somewhat alike to Banjou and Sento, the series would be focusing on Keiwa more than Ace like Build did with Banjou. This is a good way to tell the story when this could describe the difference between them and how that will make them stronger. The rider system on Desire driver, in my opinion, has a lot of inspirations from kamen rider Ryuki, Double, OOO and Build. It has the Entry form like Blank form, the Dual Raise Buckle slots that kinda like double Gaia Memory, the special sound for matching pair of Raise Buckles which is similar to Best Match of Double, OOO and Build. Took inspiration from some of the best Kamen Rider series ever, Geats has potential to be a good series of Reiwa generations after some not so good series lately like Saber or Revice.

It's not the first time we've seen Rider competitions, but I agree that it's completely new and fascinating that we start at the end of the competition. I am very curious and excited about this season. I will say though, the revolve thing when legs became arms and so on, it's the most body horror nightmare fuel that Kamen Rider has ever had on screen. My instant thought was "what is he feeling in that suit?" and any answer made me shiver. I am hoping for a good variety of buckles. One thing I have been enjoying is the presence of female Riders in the Reiwa seasons and that they're always badass.

I like how in Eps. 1 we just get thrown into the action with no explanation. Plus conserving how may times reality has been reset when the winner of the Desire Prix wins, it makes you wonder how many times this has been going n.

I believe it's been evident that Kamen Rider Geats is the best innovation of KR's half & half gimmick so far, especially as a Reiwa Rider that's brimming with new innovations, albeit subtle. If we compare the existing half & half Riders so far: - W started the ground up by having 2 people transforming at the same time, each with their set of Gaia Memories and a vertical suit separation with mix & match function. - Build simplified the usage by only having one person transforming and accessing numerous combinations by using 2 Fullbottles, with each specific set being the stronger Best Match forms and uses diagonal suit separation. Later, Build would also implement W's Henshin mechanism with Cross-Z Build & Cross-Z Evol. - Geats took these steps further by only having one person transforming using ID Cores affixed to each user while using various combos of the Raise Buckles as complementary equipments with horizontal suit separation. However, if W and Build's mix & match gimmicks are limited only to the main Riders, all other Riders from Geats could access the Raise Buckles and form various combinations all by themselves. That being said, who knows what else they'd bring to the table. Not only that, there's also an interesting comparison with Ryuki as battle royale Rider seasons. If Ryuki was about a single round of Rider Battle straight from the beginning to the end of the match, then Geats would be about the status quo that's been maintained by Ukiyo Ace & the DGP matches that he won, as well as how people like Keiwa & Neon could, or at least would think of breaking the cycle. Can't wait for the next episodes! Also, I wonder if Toei would make a spin-off sequel of KR Shinobi later on since it's still 2022 lol

I'm Just gonna dump a bunch of ideas I've been having for possible "drops" in the future in the show: Double Drops: Throw back to Build with "MagnumMagnum" Or "BoostBoost" Might be fun! Fragment Drops: It might be interesting so see a kind of "Collect all the fragments and get this special Drop!" scenario & the 2 veteran Riders are shocked by what drop it is; With a "No Way, That's...!" or a "Finally THAT shows up" type of line. Ya Know Building HYPE! Cheat/Hack Drops: Drops that for one reason or another break the game/rules. Don't know how but it is a neat concept. Pair Drop: not to be confused with a Double Drop, but rather Drops that either pair well with or are made to be used with another Drop. Like a "Snipe" drop to go with Magnum's Rifle Mode. Or a "Flame"/"Burn" Drop to go with "Zombie". SUPER Drops: Not really an upgrade/super form Drop, but more like a Power Up Drop that can get passed around or even stolen. Upgraded Drops: The idea of Taking the regular Armament Drops & Upgrading them into Proper Drops would be neat! From "Crossbow" to "Archer", "Hammer" To "Breaker", "Shield" to "Tank", or "Water" to "Flood". Also, Combine "Zombie" With "Flood" to make a Halo reference! A Gacha Drop: Basically a Freebie for the writers, in which it's a purely random Drop so they don't have to right a scenario based around the Drop, it's just a "You Win, Here's Your prize" without having to explain why the Drop is what it is. That's some of the best ones I've got.

I like how different in the slightest Geats is, where they introduce 3 riders on the first episode already. I also think throughout the season, that we'll start off with the pov of Keiwa and how he will improve. I think the interview is gonna foreshadow him having to take on really important decisions in terms of fighting and probably getting other Riders killed. Until we learn more of Ace and now both of them would be like our Main Character Duo My Brother theorised that Ace would give Keiwa his power when he becomes experienced.

All the customization options feel like it's for the Battle Royale theme too - customization is a big thing in those games, and you often have multiple inventory slots. So the Driver kinda has 2 slots built-in, with hotswitching via Revolve On. Also, who here expected Revolve Change to work like THAT in the show? Not me!!! The worldbuilding here is amazing. I'm seeing some conflicting info on the wiki that claims the DGP is meant to fight the Jamato, but... honestly, the whole thing is just crazy suspicious to me. Especially since we don't know if you even get a real chance to decline. Kenta may have joined just by touching that ID core. But the best thing about the worldbuilding, IMO? It means the DGP concept can be used very, very freely in fanfiction. There's nothing that says "Oh, you need to take this into account" because it all just resets! And if you want a crossover? Maybe a prior DGP winner wanted to link their world to a fictional world? Eheh...yeah, I may be taking that concept and running with it. Hopefully it turns out decent. (And yes, that is Ginpen. Hello, character connections.)

I love that this is basically Gantz but Kamen Rider. The whole grand prix resetting also remind me of Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Decided I wanted to start getting into toku today and heard Geats was the new Rider series. Great introduction to the series and what the franchise is about.

I loved the first episode and Geats could be one of my top 3 favorite riders. There were a couple of things that disturbed me like that one Kamen rider getting killed too soon but other than that I really loved this episode and Geats is so cool and I like Ace already as a character. I hope this series will continue to be my favorite Kamen Rider series

Pretty solid first episode. It established a lot of things already and made sure that the stakes are high in this grand prix. I'm not so imaginative, so I wonder about how they'll make the upgrade/super form buckles. Ace's actor is well-casted for his role. You can feel the smug just from looking at him. Absolute badass. Reminded me of the one who walks the path of heaven.

Very nice review! The whole setting, world building feels really intriguing indeed. I'm also wondering if Ace and Neon, also Keiwa knew each other before, but they forgot because of the whole world+memory reset that's been going on (probably happened multiple times already). Ace is the only one who remembers.

I do like how the first episode just drops the audience in the middle of an already started story, leaving us in the shoes in the secondary rider and the influencer girl as they have no idea what's going on. It makes us want to know who these riders are, what did Ace do at the end of the last Desire Battle Royal? What's going on with the Boost Handle? Who's the guy in the repainted mask from Hellboy? (no really, the guy's mask is a repainted version of that weird clockwork ninja guy's mask from the first Hellboy movie)

I was really confused when the episode started with Keiwa, only to reveal that he wasn't actually Geats. I do think the whole concept of the mix-n-match Riders is great, but also horrifying if you think about the process too hard.

Ace is the nicest asshole I've ever seen and I think he's now in my top 3 riders (ooo #1, geats #2 and w #3) he's just too badass

I went in blind and god was it WAY better that way, I was just sitting there in AWE as everything happened, and luckily episode 2 was out when I finished episode 1

On episode 2, it's implied that Ace is experimenting the limits of what kind of world DGP can grant. He already knows he is gonna be a rider coz it is his world and he won a lot of times already. I just wonder what type of ideal world he is aiming for. I hope he's not the good guy who does good, nor the good guy who wants to save the world.

It would be cool to see shiro later in the show just as a regular firefighter with no memories of him being a Kamen rider and have him talk about what he desires (heck maybe make it tragic like get his wife back because she died in a fire that he didn’t get to in time or something like that) just to make he death retroactively even sadder like sure he’s alive now but he won’t ever be able to achieve that dream now

At last, the Reiwa era has its Versus series! In just one episode, it looks like it will fit perfectly with the likes of Ryuki and Gaim! I'm already all in on collectibles (gimme that Chainsword at perfect machete size lol)

i wouldn't say Ace is cocky, I'd say he is more of a confident guy who knew what he is doing, like when he jumped inside the castle to destroy it from the inside out when he found out his rifle is being deflected. He doesn't go acting & talking like he is in a pinch, he just like, it's okay, the world gonna reset as he will win. He is like a new tendou.

The first two episodes, as far as I know, were kinda like PvE battle with dozens of goons and one or few bosses. Not quite your typical PvP Battle Royale.

I'm just waiting for it to turn out that it's not just the Riders in a battle royale.

Coming back from years of hiatus from Kamen rider I’m mixed on this being my return to the franchise I’ve only seen the first episode but for now imma have to warm up to Geats as I’m not too fond of his personality or him just being some rich entitled dude,I do like his suit tho As for the other protag I can’t say much yet he’s more likable but kinda blank slate for now. The effects are quite clean and nice which I appreciate though I feel sometimes they use a bit too much CG. As for the rider suits in general it will take time getting used to them, while geats looks great the others look off especially the bear guy rip Im also gonna see if I like everything being so high stakes and “big” all the time since I kinda prefer the more personal stakes with bigger stuff left for grander occasions same with the number of riders I feel due to the nature of how they work they won’t pop out as much or be as iconic as past ones it’s kinda as if you took the base Den O form and just put a mask on it sorta. Anyways I could ramble on about nitpicks so for now all I’ll say is that I’ll keep at it to see where it goes from the first ep and see if I like this one if not then that’s ok because I have plenty of rider series to watch and even some I started but haven’t finished lmao

While Den-O, W, Gaim, Zero-One, Ex-Aid, and hopefully Kuuga when I get around to watching it, are my favorite seasons, so far, it looks like Geats might be up there

Kamen rider Geats episode 1 I watch first time watch so awesome and interesting the CGI so good in first episode. I hope Geats season keep episodes will be awesome as the season going on.

Easily the best premiere of a Reiwa season imo, it's giving me Kabuto vibes, mainly due to Keiwa and Ace being Reiwa Kagami & Tendou and i loved how they executed it as if this was the final game that's been going for a half a year, can't wait to dive even further with these characters, the action scenes are great this time i didn't mind the use of CGI and oh my god that transformation sequence for Geats is fire, i'm calling it that guy in a white suit during that scene where Ace was at his mansion (Press Conference room) is going to be a major antagonist later on Reiwa Premiere rankings Geats 01 Revice Saber.

I think they really implemented the loot system of most Battle Royal games into Geats pretty well. I like how of course there's gonna be weaker Riders just because their load out isn't decked out with good loot but that doesn't mean they're out of the game. I can already imagine a fight scene where the main Rider doesn't have any good loot and must use his smarts to out maneuver and out skill his opponents.

Keiwa is literally just Kagami but different and Ace is just Tendou but slightly different

You forgot to mention that the ID core as they call it can unlock their memories, because this is a game as Ace put it everyone who is not part of the DGP gets their memories blocked and/or erased but once anyone touches said an ID core they instantly unblock all those memories. Like the screen where keiwa touches the ID core and remembered everything that happened. That's insane in its own right

It's interesting how the foot soldiers do a chant /mantra when fighting. And yes ,the person who was the interview is going to kamen rider genpin

Yet to watch ep1 but ever since the info dropped on the game/battle Royale, the only question in my mind is "ok when will ̶D̶a̶n ̶K̶u̶r̶o̶t̶o̶ God make his appearance " 🤣🤣

The theory I will stick to until proven wrong, Geats is a cheater in the game, sort of. He was aware of being selected as a Rider in the beginning of the episode. In the end it seems that all contestants forget their role as riders as seen with Azuma [Buffa]. Now this can mean a few things, either Geats won and wished for a world where the preceeding events never happened- the civilians revived and wiped of their memory *while* he himself retains the memory of being a Rider, giving himself an unfair advantage. Ace seemingly keeping his memories in the end of the episode lends credence to this. Riders who die in the DGP *do not come back* there would be no stakes otherwise, also Shiro's attitude towards dying would be different if he knew he'd come back. The contestants we see in episode 2 *will die* besides the rest of our main cast which reinforce the will to survive in our riders. I'm interested to see the greater entities at play, what kind of organization or being needs a "Temple of Desire" unless the Birthday guy from OOO finally became a God.

I know people have been using the Ryuki comparison for the show at large, but the idea of being able to transform just using the ID core into the armorless Entry form reminds me a lot of the Blank State forms, like when Shinji transformed into Ryuki the first time before Dragredder became his Contract Monster.

Wait since this is Ex aid part 3 does that mean that GOD Dan Kuroto will appear and condem the riders for trying to usurp his rightful place as God of this new world ?!!!

I can't believe I'm about to say this but SAMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! This has been my most anticipated Kamen Rider seriees since Gaim which was a hella long time ago and the fact that Foxes are my favourite animal makes the design aesthetic very nostalgic for me and I love the protagonist despite him not looking handsome for me atlest (Just my opinion)

officially the first kamen rider I'm gonna watch, got introduced couple years back through accidentally seeing kamen rider ex aid abridged through someone watching it in school, first proper one that introduced me to kamen rider was zero one/saber, saw the first 2 eps of revice when toei released them on their channel, and I've downloaded the first 2 eps of geats today, and I'm intending to stick to the end of it

I really love this season already! It really does have the "Fortnite" type battle royal feel where everyone starts off with nothing and have to look for their weapons/power ups. The Riders are probably going to turn on each other at some point realize killing another Rider gives you a lot of points.

When They interduce the masked guy the symbol Behind him was geats but behind that is the blue wolf symbol I think he or she is important he could be the first winner of the dpb or is he or she the mask guy or girl he or she is connected to ace or is that an error we will see that in the next few episodes can't wait but hey that's just a theory a toku theory thanks for reading
