Today, we launched a Kickstarter campaign for a doggy water bottle that took us 2 years to design. Here’s why:
For the past 8 years, we’ve had a blast sharing Maxine and entertaining you. We’ve built an incredible community and we’ve been grateful every day of Maxine’s life to be able to do what we do.
But the truth is, the pet industry has let us down. Unfortunately, this industry is full off brands who build cheap, mediocre products by cutting corners and delivering the bare minimum. Bags that rip, and bottles that leak. Well, we got sick of putting up with it. That’s why we started Little Chonk. That’s why we created the Maxine One dog backpack, and today, that’s why we’re proud to present The Lil Gulp.
This took us 2 years to create, which sounds crazy, but it’s because we believe in research, we believe in building the right team, and we believe in rigorous product testing. We believe creating thoughtfully-designed products takes time.
We were only able to bring our vision to life because of our community - that’s you! Because of your continued support these past 8 years, we’ve been able to get our feet into a lot of doors, and Maxine has charmed the pants off of a lot of people to make all of this a reality.
This is just the beginning of a very beautiful thing. We have a lot more to come.
