@@pjmartin5766he just wants the money and the hype that fight would build .. it’s obvious.. he would eat Tom and Alex in the same night lol not really but you know what I mean .. btw Alex walks around 225-235 on the regular so he’s not naturally 205 .. but Jon wasn’t planning on staying for long he just wanted to win the heavyweight title to prove himself at heavyweight’s and that he is the goat .. he’ll retire after 1 or 2 more fights .. 3 at max

Dc never defeated Jones . But Jones never defeated dc clean . I don't think dc wants to be a fighter like him . Dc is the goat . 2 devision champion . He is the goat . He ain't getting that respect because he lost to him . I think dc would have defeated Jones if Jones was clean . (Imo)

@@luci4463imo while those two wins would’ve been HUGE, when comparing his legacy to the other TOP 5 GOATs, those two wins would’ve definitely pushed him into the top 5 but that alone would still have him behind DJ, Gsp, and Silva. He’d definitely be past Aldo but those wins would’ve also changed the rest of his career so he probably could’ve been the goat

He is competing at heavyweight and light heavyweight . 2 of the most punishing devisions . Where one punch can kill you immediately. he was a champ at those two devisions . Not to mention he was he was holding those two belts simultaneously . That is a goat stuff bro . Only two people have done this is UFC history . I think we should just give the respect dc deserves

@@luci4463 that’s part of the point I was making. Not to mention the entire point of him moving back to hw was because Cain retired along with that NC against Jon(hollow belt argument). Idt he even tries to contend for the hw belt again, if he does and has his wars at hw the same way I still wouldn’t have him above gsp silva or DJ. You don’t get extra credit for getting win streaks at heavier weight classes, it should 100% be factored into the discussion but winning 2 fights at HW aren’t some legacy defining feat because he was reigning lhw champ. It’s the culmination of all of it. 4 time champion, 2 time ufc champion with over 5 defenses, I have him just behind volk but the gap between them is smaller than the gap toward the rest of the Top 5.

For a long time I always said I disliked Jones outside the cage, but could appreciate he was a monster in the cage. I'm losing that "in the cage" respect now. He's not even pretending that he's willing to fight Aspinall, he's just blissfully ignoring one of the best heavyweights who literally has a belt that means "fight the champ" next... Also, he's just a scumbag outside the cage, which doesn't help his case

He’s holding up the division (FIGHT TOM, SIMPLE) just let go it’s clear you’re too scared to fight . He fights dirty poking people in the eye and tho it’s legal he oblique kicks. That whole hitting a pregnant women with his car and running away didn’t help and it’s almost as if he didnt feel remorse for ALOT of his actions rather only felt bad for what he might have lost. The UFC FAVORS him and has controversial wins over guys like Dom and Alex G. He has “Dana white privilege” and is handed everything he wants. I understand he has TREMENDOUS fight IQ there’s no arguing that but but if he was SO great he wouldn’t have done PEDs and fought dirty. He SUCH an AMAZING talent and I admire that about him it’s just all the bullshit he has pulled, he could have been mentioned with the like of Muhammad Ali but I know we aren’t all perfect not even Ali was. We all make mistakes and accept and forgive people but when you do it over and over and over it’s like at some point you got to learn and I hope Jon jones does just that.

Anyone who knows how much steroids help with your recovery, help with intensity, help with increasing the overall number of training sessions, and allowing those sessions to go longer, would not call this guy the goat of anything. He cheated. It was never about being stronger… it was always about the recovery, intensity, and duration of his training sessions. I cycled steroids for ten years… I was able to do at least 65% more of everything. If I was a fighter, I would have been able to learn more, train more often, train harder, and recovery from fatigue and injury significantly more than my opponents… that’s cheating. Anderson did it, Royce did it, Jon did it. None are goats

Oh so why is only the DC fight as NC? No other was shown he cheated. Fighters say Jones is one of the best or the best, Chimaev did, GSP, Khabib, Tom Aspinall says he wants to beat the best... It's only the fans that think he owes that to steroids that were shown for a fight in which the level still poses a question of whether it affected his performance.

I really don’t know why the ufc is hellbent on giving jones the best send off possible and giving him the easiest fight possible, he may be the most accomplished fighter of all time but he is a horrible representative of the sport.

That’s what is so bizarre to me, too. He’s a total disaster to the sport. Send him off by getting KO’d by Tom so we can translate all of his juice and kudos over to the current generation. Shows a clear evolution and maturation of the sport, increases legitimacy and revenue-generating star power for the new champ, and I literally can’t imagine a better ambassador for the sport than Tom, he has everything inside and outside the cage.

@@Switcheroo1 thing is it really does not seem like it's in their best interest at all, right? Is Jones a massive PPV draw really? Does he transcend the sport (I guarantee none of my friends have ever heard of him, they're not UFC fans)? I think it weirdly comes down purely to Dana's personal emotions, nostalgia and bias. We all tell ourselves stories and recycle them over time until it's some immutable truth which is part of our identity, almost. We crave projecting a consistent image to the world. We cherry pick anything that might support our bias and avoid anything that challenges it. Dana subconsciously wants to be proven right for the countless times he's said "Jon Jones is the greatest", to the point that he is actively warping the sport to engineer scenarios that promote Jones, when in a sane world Jones would have been dropped from the UFC in disgrace years ago.

Random: Paddy should go back to his Original hair. The braided hair did NOT work for Paddy. O'malley can pull it off but paddy's OG look suited him more. George Hardwick WILL make it in MMA! Yes his Dana white contender series didn't go his way but he fought a beast. George deserves to get a shot in the UFC. Other fighters got a short notice shot call in the UFC. Give Hardwick a shot!

I don't hate anyone, but I actually feel sorry for him.. Once you know what causes this level of narcissism, you know too, the deep psychological wounds it takes, to become an elite athlete on a sociopathic level.. sort of like he AND his brothers.. his NPD, is why he lashes out the way he does. He hated on Izzy, because critics, were saying he was like Jones.. and so he trolls and challenges a guy a division below him..? And so then he "took" what DC had, as a champ, champ but now wants to be like Khabib, defend and retire "undefeated". But if you were paying attention, he would get noticibly pissed when anyone would call Khabib the GOAT or the #1 P4P.. which is always a divisional idea. And so lastly this narcissism rears its head again, as he sees Alex rise through 2 divisions, everyone loves him.. and so boom, AGAIN.. challenges a guy a division below him.. whew, its embarassing at this point.

As a pure style fan, I don't understand why Ngannou and Jones don't just pay out of pocket to headline their own exhibition event and skip the drug testing and just go full ham on internet view sales and skip PPV completely. We want to see Predator vs Bones. Steepay SHOULD BE forced to fight ASPINAL - neither are belt contenders.

I think what Jon has done in the cage escpecially when he first got the belt and his climb to the belt was amazing and really showed he can be the legitmate best fighter in history. The constant steroids tho and if you have not watch more plated more dates evaluation of Jon Jones blood definitely would recommend a watch. MPMD reviews Jon Jones testosterone levels ajnd it showed he had the testosterone of like a grandma at 80 years old. SHows just how scared of DC Jon really was.

I just saw the Reyes fight for the first time. He definitely lost that. Having said that, you don't have to like the guy but the current criticism he's getting is completely unfair. He's been calling out Stipe since before he got the heavyweight belt and hasn't changed his goal so he's not ducking anyone. If I had to wait 3 years to fight for the belt, I wouldn't give it up either. The UFC should have never made that interim belt cuz Jon didn't vacate so he doesn't owe Tom anything. Stipe ducted Sergey and Tom but no one talks about that. If Tom wants to fight so bad he should fight Alex, It would be an easy fight for him For the same reason people say it's a easy fight for Jones. If he beats Alex that gives enough off cred to challenge Jones undeniably. Why is he wasting time fighting Curtis blades instead of waiting for Alex to be ready? If he beats blades it's not going to change a thing and no one's going to be impressed.
