'Fighter' released on January 25 witnessed a steady start at the box office, however, it failed to maintain its rhythm during the weekdays. Director Siddharth Anand has now reflected on why Fighter has not been able to repeat the success of his last two releases War and Pathaan.
Director Siddharth Anand narrowed down two factors that might have affected the film. He said releasing the film on a working day and the audience's disconnect with the genre is what has caused the significant drop in the collection.
Siddharth Anand said that the genre of 'Fighter' is a 'little alien' to the audience. Explaining more about it, he said, "Fighter is a huge leap for a filmmaker. It’s a space that is unexplored and absolutely new. It has no reference point for the audience.

Vikram vedha and Fighter blockbuster reviews but no collection. Saaho 1.5 rating 450cr😂, adipurush 1.5 rating 400cr😂😂😂😂. Hrithik is good actor like Nawazuddin, but not a star. Where as prabhas is a star and a decent actor. Know the difference between an ACTOR and a STATR.😂😂

@@devv9051 I disagree. Movies are made for entertainment and strong performances are a treat for movie lovers. Business is also a big part but its not the primary aim. Prabhas has been a great performer throughout his career and has garnered huge fan base. But the fact is that his career post Bahubali has been underwhelming. You can't cover those problems with just box office collections.

I am feel very sad😞 for the box office collection of fighter movie. I think people of our industry always support animal like movies which movies always promote negativity in our society. Fighter movie deserve 1000 crore but people did not support this movie this feel very sad. People of our society do not deserve this masterpiece because they don't know what is the actual content of movie.

I feel 22nd Jan inauguration and people's attention was wholly captured towards this grandeur which may have led to Fighter's less-than-expected response. The days following the inaugration people wanted to go for darshan instead of wathcing movie. You will notice even 26 Jan celebration was very bland as compared to last year where everyone was full into the spirit of patriotism. The collection on 26 Jan was 46Cr and next two days Sat Sun it saw huge drop to 26-27Cr. It seems like either public didnt go outside the house these two days and rested or they were out on vacation to another city.

Sorry to break it to you buddy Indian audience goes for hype ...they let the good film die..like in 2024 merry Christmas and fighter ... fighter VFX and visual cinematography is executed so elegantly that it doesn't feel like movie is made on just 250 crore.. And Hrithik is phenomenal actor better than srk atleast..he has always tried to give us something new with his character and film but Indian audience deserve bad film overhyped one... Bhai interview mein aapko pakata hai toh woh aapka case hai sabhi ka nahi.. Try to listen to him carefully what he is trying to say ... recently he said if he didn't have burden of being a star he would have flown so high as an actor..yeh samjha aapne ... Nahi na...bhai calm down...

Dikkat yhi he ki jab director ne dhang ki dekhne layak movie banai to koi dekhne nahi gya, .. muje aisa lagta he ki public achchi movie dekhna h nahi chahti. abhi baat Acting ya direction ki hoti hi nahi he . abhi baat hoti he ki movie 1000 crore ya 500 crore ya limited amount earn kar rhi he ya nahi. aaj movie ko hit karwane ka nazariya hi badal gya he. agar acting and story ke dum par hit hoti to pathan se shahrukh ka comeback nahi hota. But the one thing is clear .... Bollywood can not efford "Hrithik Roshan". in logo ko Jai ho wale bhai jaan and tiger shrof hi chaiye.

Watched the movie today. It was decent only. And it is just its second week, why is its box office being such a topic this early? And it did not release in the gulf countries, apart from Dubai. That might also affect the collections 🤷🏼‍♀️

The problem is that, we are living in multiplex era. An era where a 'single' multiplex can run more than 15 shows of a film in a single day. so years-long runs of a movie is a thing of past. within 3 months a movie is available on OTT and can be seen even on smallest phone screens possible. So in such era if a film has not performed in 2 weeks, then there's a high chance that it will never soar again. Hence nowadays after 2nd weekend film business pundits declare a film hit or flop. (2nd weekend collection is in double digit crores, it's a hit. otherwise flop). and I hate this model so much.

I believe that my Samsung OLED TV, paired with the OTT release of the fighter, provides a satisfactory experience for enjoying movies with friends and family. The combined cost of the OTT subscription and the one-time TV expense is more reasonable for the fighter compared to the total amount we paid for Top Gun: Maverick, ranging from 50 to 70 thousand. (Bhai dosto ke saath Gaye the sabane apana kharcha uthaya tha.) Having spent 1200 on Top Gun: Maverick, along with an additional 800 in expenses per person, considering the same expenses for a fighter movie makes the total amount somewhat challenging to digest in terms of the theatrical experience. In my view, the fighter movie doesn't offer a comparable experience to Top Gun.

"Pathaan" was indeed a shitty movie. "Fighter" was infact a million times better.....it was damn good movie. It has very good, intriguing story line and treatment was pretty well. Graphics, VFX, CGI were also top class. Film did not work, dont know why.

Amazing tribute! he is very talented but also hardworking, the question what is missing, yes we can say " by looks he is too handsome and 100% perfect. let analyze rationally. if u see ads or movies we indian like to see a guy hero eastern with local feel,, otherwise we can hire foreign actors celebrates to boost our product. Hrithik looks beauty is plus point but also negative point. since begining we calling him " GREEK GOD" why call him foreign god, related him to indian culture land. common man impressed by foreign looks beauty but by heart he feel more attachment with local indian face. so amitabh bachan or indian looks guys are more attractive and we can relate to them. sometime we feel Hrithik is bit artificial ( never mind) and 2nd he give too much gaps. gaps are good if they are like from Amir khan or ranber kapoor, when Hrithik came there were huge competition from khans and he bit manage and get big banner movies from yash raj, karan johar, subhash gai, sanjay leela and soraj burjatia( super hit banners of 90) but most of movies flop. yadden, prem ki dewani, muj say dosti kro gi , as an romantic hero he could not be darling like sharukh. after 2010 sharukh regain his power with big hits, and Amir was on his peak . later Ranbir kapoor entered the ring and gradually he overcome and dominate the good films. so guys thats my view.... now Hrithik has still time but he is a man not a Boy as compare to ranbeer and ranveer singh. he will not get roles of young guy or college boy..so limited choice.

Fighter is a very well made movie with good casting... It was very exciting movie to watch... Movie built for proper theatre experience and 3D is also good... I encourage more people to experience this movie in theaters... Good cinema needs to appreciated and we should make it box office hit so this continues. Chal raha hain bhai...hain jitna chalna chahiye tha utna nahi chala. Aerial action is new genre in India that's why it didn't work that much. You can simply understand it by making comparison of Top Gun Maverick collection with Avengers movie.

Fighter movie ek bohot achchi movie hai yaar. Bas iski proper promotion nahi hua like Pathaan , Jawan, Animal and Salaar ki tarah. Tier 2 and 3 cities mein bhi koi promotion nah hua. Iske teaser and trailer and songs kaafi late aaye the. Aagar iska first glimpse jaisa kuch October and ek preview jaisa kuch November mein ajata and then teaser in November and two trailers like trailer no 1 in December and trailer no 2 in January just two weeks before movie release date and in the middle iske songs bhi ate aur thoda interviews achchese karte aur metro cities ke saath saath tier 2 and tier 3 cities mein bhi promotion karte aur trailer ko aur zyada dhamakedar and aur ekdum alag banate to aaj yeh movie bhi Pathaan Jawan Animal and Salaar ki tarah blockbuster hoti. Business koi samjhe to voh hai SRK. Back to back 2 blockbusters and 1 superhit movie in 2023 oh what a comeback. 2 movies have crossed more than 1000 cr. What a brilliant actor he is. One of the best actors in India. And HRX bhi kisise kam nahi. Indians ke liye aaj bhi voh superhero Krrish hai aur humesha rahega. Bas har koi HRX ko samjhte nahi. Fighter jaisa arial action movie first time bani hai India mein. To hume usko pyar se accept karna chahiye tha. Varna rote raho aur kehte raho yaar Hollywood jaisa movie India mein kyun nahi banta. Jai Hind 🙏🙏

Main reason is Deepika , very few people like her acting and her looks as well . So she doesn’t serve any purpose in any movie.. Which leads to very less interest to her movies. Producers should stop forcing her to audience. She is not relatable to GenZ and Millennials doesn’t like her ,that means she doesn’t have any of her dedicated audience on ground reality.

I enjoyed the movie but personally I feel these two things should have differed, 1.Ishq Jaisa Kuch song should have been played in between the movie. Literally no crowd was left in the theatre when this song is played. 2.I watched 3D and it was shit horrible. I would have enjoyed 2D much better, who else felt the same? I watched in PVR inox still 3D quality was bad.

Ek factor nahi hai, first of all the movie was compared to Top gun too much and the makers did not do a good job hiding that in the trailer with the cobra maneuver. Secondly Hrithik himself was too busy promoting HRX and HRFit cafe to do anything related to promotion for his own movie.

Indian public: 1. Love Gadar 2 and Pathan : most average story with hyper jingoism, 500 Cr and 1000 Cr. Fighter with superb visuals, better story than above two , no love angle with pakistanis , each character having story and 2-3 bad dialougue: too much jingoism , predictable story😂😂 2. Fighter has nothing new: bhai , how many aerial combat movie you have seen ? None. But nothing new. But same public : Bollywood cannot be like hollywood . 3. Top gun se nakal : when you take inspiration, nakal kar raha hai . Jab apna ghatiya masala movie banao , MASS. hollywood se kuch nhi sikhta. 4. Big star without expression , worst graphics , bad cinematography , 700 cr+ income. Big with lots of expression , good story , tremendous visuals , good cinematography - struggling for 200 cr+ income. We Indians have no standard at all. We are like the monkeys, which dances for stupid films and reject well designed films. We deserve Salman , not Hrithik.

My 2 cents. Hrithik being the lead never ever does the kind of promotion that other stars do for their movies. He sent Anil Kapoor on Bigg Boss for promoting fighter. Bro, you are charging at least 50 crores and sending Anil Kapoor to Bigg Boss. Only Hrithik and Sidharth Anand are responsible for this mediocre movie.

Fighter movie is a very good movie, friends. Its proper promotion wasn’t not like that of Pathan, Jawan, Animal and Salaar. There was no promotion even in Tier 2 and 3 cities. Its teaser and trailer and songs are out very late. If its first glimpse something would come in October and then a preview type something would come in November and then teaser in end of November and two trailers like trailer no 1 in December and trailer no 2 in January just two weeks before movie release date and in the middle its songs also came. And do some interviews and promotion in metro cities as well as tier 2 and tier 3 cities and make the trailer more exciting and completely different so that today this movie also becomes a blockbuster like Pathaan Jawan Animal and Salaar. Anyone who understands business is SRK. Back to back 2 blockbusters and 1 superhit movie in 2023 oh what a comeback. 2 movies have crossed more than 1000 cr. What a brilliant actor he is. One of the best actors in India. And HRX is also no less. Even today, he is the superhero Krrish for Indians and will always be so. Unfortunately no one understands HRX. Fighter like aerial action movie has been made for the first time in India. We should have accepted him with love. Otherwise, keep crying and saying yes, why are Hollywood like movies not made in India? Jai Hind 🙏🙏
