Finland is the country that drinks the most coffee on earth. So, what is it about this brew that makes Finns such big fans? I visited the Helsinki Coffee Festival to find out why the country is so hooked.

My friend sends us coffee supplies from Finland because it is the best we've ever tasted and have tried all around the world. Her and her workplace are addicted to rhubarb and custard sweets, lemon sherbets and lovehearts.

You need coffee if you had to live through 8 months of winter dark and snow
@VeryFinnishProblems3 жыл бұрын
Gallons and gallons of it 😀

Eight months is a very exaggerated hyperbola. It is only five months of darkness of which one month is very dark and only about five to three months of snow depending on whether you live in northern or southern Finland. This can be checked out by the Finnish Meteorological Institute if you want. But a daily dose of coffee is an elixir that helps us Finns stay spry, energetic and cope so that we can work, study and do our household chores. But, coffee is also damn good and and all worth its taste.

Few fun facts about the daily dose of coffee: Did you know that in Finland about one liter of coffee per person is drunk every day? Or that because not all Finns drink coffee, some drink more than one liter per day? Or that running out of coffee and it become too expensive are the worst nightmares for most Finns? (one liter = about four and half US cups)

Most countries in Europe have a similar history with coffee. You didn't even try to answer the question you said you'd answer. I have some questions you also need to learn the answer to. Are you always this dishonest? How do you sleep at night? Especially after all that coffee. Ps Great camera work, looks beautiful! Delete this video immediately

Lol! Fair point. Realised that afterward. Got a little too carried away with the coffee tasting. Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts and for this week's most contradictory comment :)
