In 2013, filmmaker Ben Master, three of his friends, and 16 wild mustangs journeyed across 3,000 miles of some of the most rugged territory in the American West. This audacious trek-to inspire adoptions of wild horses and burros-has since inspired Ben to help others on their own journeys. Hear Ben share inspiring stories from the road and watch clips from his documentary 'Unbranded.'

I cried as you showed me the beauty of America that I would never, ever have seen in my life. The majesty of the mountains was unbelievable and your journey has made memories for so many people. It was AMAZING & BEAUTIFUL & I thank everyone who contributed in every way to the movie, especially those 3 AGGIES. My dad ‘43 would have loved the mountains. Thank you, Thank you 🇺🇸

What I hear from this guy is give up the norm and what is expected of you. Buy or adopt a horse, preferably untrained so you can have the pleasure of breaking it in. Pick a path/ trail, don a wide brim hat, never look back and just ride. Incredibly inspired, thank you.

Unbranded and unbroken is an interesting documentary. Having spent 1/2 my life on horseback and packing mules in the high country of Western Colorado, I would not recommend that Texans ride that Rocky Mountain trail ride from Arizona to Canada. A classic tale of, if you dont know what you are doing should probably stay in school.

I am a salmon biologist from Idaho/Washington and I have horses. I spend as much time on public land as possible, camping, riding, hunting, fishing, hiking, hunting mushrooms, harvesting huckleberries and spending time with family. We need to protect our public land because right now the Trump administration is destroying it as fast as they can go. Stand up for public land, donate to organizations that do so, get involved to protect our wild places that are there for every American! And if you have the good fortune to ride a horse through some of it, then cherish every moment. It's amazing!
@steves5113
@steves5113 4 жыл бұрын
Be specific. How is the Trump administration destroying public lands? Document it before & after in the last three years with photographs. And, how would donating to "organizations" make a difference? Again, show photo evidence in the last three years. I make my living in open country in the west, I can't tell the difference between the last three years or the clown before him. If you produce results in your life, you don't need to ask for donations.

Would have worked better as a mini series. Just wasn’t enough time. You get a sense of the beauty but it doesn’t scratch the surface on the struggle. You need to get to see the monotony the cooking breakfast every morning. Coffee. Saddling horses. The actual nuts and bolts.

If you are going to remove wild horses from public land then you better remove cattle or limit grazing to certain times of the year. In Nevada cattle are allowed to graze on public range year long. They are just as destructive as horses. Fences are another issue because is the a i.als were allowed to migrate the damage would not be as prevalent. I am not stupid and I was raised on a cattle ranch.

The farrier is for tame horses who do not run enough to wear the hoof down. Or for those cracks that come from shoeing the horse and having a driving edge. Wild horses dont need nearly as much maintenance because they have the right conditions

And if you sponsored these boys to do that journey,... you're terrible for letting them go through Jumping Cactus Country with horses, literal torture. To put such precious lives in the hands of coca cola cowboys, despicable. For this Robert Redford looking guy to even non nonchalantly make a joke on it, shows his true colors.
