Friday Night Funkin' has had a recent resurgence after sudden teasers and news being posted, is the update soon? In this video, I give my thoughts on what I think of these teasers, as well as when I think the long awaited fnf update will release! Hope you enjoy :)

Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.

Pico Day's the most reasonable day for them to drop the update, but I personally think an April Fools release would be fuckin hilarious

yeah, the sampler was made a long time ago, and that is practically confirmed. There are some outdated songs such as Fresh and Pico in the sampler, and Eric (one of the coders) liked a tweet by Lendon, quote "one thing i want to make clear tho is that they clearly arent changing the remixes by feedback of people lol, peepo made it clear that erect sampler was being worked on quite a while ago so the remixes in erect sampler are just outdated"

I have a question: Do you think they also changed Blammed Remix? They showed us the full version, but I'm not sure If they will change it or not. It would be awesome if they already made a better remix.

While the Pico Day release is a bit doubtful, I do hope that they meet that deadline. It will both be perfect for Newgrounds day, knowing how the game made a resurgence to Newgrounds in general, but also because they'll fulfill the old promise but even better than they initially planned to. Huge props to the Funkin' Crew, I judged them a lot for how awful the communication was, but they've shown that it's not too late to improve it.

I feel like the update is gonna be earlier than Pico day, the tiktok teasers are too consistent, they keep posting one per day, I doubt they have enough song teasers to last until April 30th WITHOUT story spoilers if they keep up the pace, we obviously already know about Pico being playable and Darnell week, but I mean content we haven't seen yet, like other weeks or characters. I think that if it actually was on Pico day, they would've released the erect sampler nearer to that date, like April 10th or smthn. My theory is that they are either gonna release the update on a Friday night (5th, 12th, 19th or 26th of April) or on Pico day... or April fools because fnf devs like to be funny. So basically, either 1st, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th or 30th of April are my guesses, and if it isn't on April, I'll go crazy

I feel like the update should come out on Good Friday which is next Friday, but I don’t think so… but I think it will come out sometime in this month or April. All I know is that they’ll probably release it when it’s done

I feel like they are going for a summer release, I doubt they would release it just any normal day. It would obviously have to be a Friday though.

my guess is... the pico day release that we were gonna have was a much smaller update most likely just the pico stuff they've been teasing but iirc they said that the next update would be the last before the full game they most likely weren't satisfied with the content in that update so began to add more to it this ofc took much longer than they expected (about 2 years now right?) but they didn't want to spoil anything yet now come to today (or like 2 days ago I dnt remember when this shit came out lol) and they are finally getting to a point where they have something that is, to them, worth releasing what I predict for the next update is: a new week (or 2), all the erect remixes (for weeks 1-7 plus any new songs probably) and the playable pico shit... along with other little stuff being added or changed basically, It will probably be a proper demo for the game and a show off of things to come then after this demo is released, they will start being a little more public about stuff they are working on

They are going to add obviusly 2 weeks, because the Darnell one was leaked maybe 1 or 2 years ago, or maybe they add 3 weeks, to complete the first ten weeks, that's what makes sense for me idk. I think maybe it's posibble to see the dialogue lines in the game or just little cutscenes, what do you think? (sorry if im misunderstanding im from Spain)

Im not getting my hopes up because im expecting it to be like a geometry dash 2.2 situation, where the update is gonna come out WAY later than anyone thinks. I'm calling 2025, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was even later.
