Please Note before commenting: This video is mainly talking about the Rise of AMD in the gaming space not other industries like AI. AMD is the more budget friendly which is why AMD is growing. I know both Intel and Nvidia do out perform AMD with majority of fields but you have to keep in mind that AMD is better for budget and performance. I went with a 7800X3D but I still went Nvidia for the GPU. Ive read too many stories about driver issues and other things. I wanted to go AMD though. If they really do improve I'd love to switch over.

Yup amd is becoming so good at making gpus and igpus. But they do not have a 7500 xt and 7400. Even tho there is no option for lower end. 6500 xt is out of the stock at most store in my area. I have seen some 6400. Arc a380 is not good. 3050 6gb is overpriced. A580 is not available No 7500 xt I have seen some 6600 for a low price which is great. But the 7500 xt would have been greater. With av 1 encoding.

I do know that in the 90s AMD was on fire with their "K" series processors (this more or less is what initiated the "Core" wars once they got past 1 GHz) I was an earlyish adopter of AM4. Started with a b350+ R5 1600 Bought a cheap combo that had a x370+ R53600 a few years back. And just dropped in a 5600 a few days ago, and even on X370, the performance from each upgrade was/is amazing. AM4 is going down as a legendary platform, in the same vein as LGA775 or the Super Socket 7 platforms.

FSR 3.1 is comeing and AMD has some coperations with Microsoft, the best thing to do is ... FSR is open source and with AMD and Microsoft they could do that FSR 3.1 works in every game that runs in Windows10-11. That was be the biggest hit for winning gamers over, that Nvida dont really care. They want to be now that Ai AI AI stupid server and business companies. Nvida dont care that without gamers... this companies never exist. But give a big dog to much money and they park for more. Greed and Arrogant is the new thing from Nvida. We need a GPUs for a price like 300-600$ not more. In Germany you pay 20% taxes so the highest cost for the best GPU is 800€. Not some crap like 2000€ for Nvida card. Edit= AMD need to support gamers more and works hard on Ray Tracing or they skip that shit and works hardcore on FSR that works even in all old games and new one.

This is all well and good, but AMD still doesn't seem to be taking GPU's seriously. My current PC is a 5900X with an AMD RX 6700 XT, while it did have issues at first with bad B550 motherboards and game compatibility it has been a good PC. Unfortunately while my next PC is going to be a 9950X, the GPU will most likely an NVidia GPU because of AI. A lot of gamers, at least those I play with are developers and tinkerers at heart and AMD's doesn't seem to grasp that. All the common development tools use NVidia's CUDA. AMD's alternative ROCm seems to be an afterthought to AMD. Until AI tools that use libraries such tensorflow and pytorch seamlessly work with AMD GPU's without having to spend hours getting the tools to work and having to redo it the next time an upgrade occur, AMD will be behind. Hopefully by the time I buy new PC next year AMD support will be better and I can get an AMD GPU, since I want competition, but with AMD's recent announcements pulling back on high end cards I doubt I will be getting one.

rise of radeon? nvidia has 88% market share bruh almost no one gives a shit about AMD desktop GPUs. The only reason they probably haven't killed the graphics division is because of the console market. desktop gpu was way more comparable back in the 6950 days but it was only because nvidia 400 and 500 series gpus were total dogshit
