I never had a dog. My husband died in 2018. In 2029 my nephew asked me if I could take care of his dog during his vacation. She is the sweetest and the happiest dog. When my nephew returned he asked me if I would like to keep her. He has a busy life. I see her as a gift from the universe. We belong together.

No dog should ever be without a loving home, I pray for that day.

I'm a 71 year old widow and I've had a dog in my life since I was 2 years old. I mostly definitely agree with every word you say. I currently have a long hair chihuahua that I rescued when she was just 8 months old. She only weighs 5 pounds but I can tell you that she absolutely loves everyone she meets human or animal. Someone once told me D-O-G spelled backward was G-O-D. No sacrilege, just a clever way for our Lord to let us know, dogs ARE from God. There have been way too many times to list all the ways that the dogs in my life comforted me in ways humans never could, just like God. I have a rescue dog now who was horribly abused. It took my husband and I four years of gentleness, kindness, and love to heal her wounded soul. She trusted me quickly but it took a long time for her to trust my husband though he is the kindest, gentlest man. We figured it was a man who abused her. She is now the sweetest, most trusting of our dogs. I love all my babies but she is very special. I live everyday trying to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

When I was first born again, God used my dog to give me a profound revelation when I was at the park with my dog. He was rolling in the grass. I looked closer and he was actually rolling in deer droppings. Three things instantly came to mind: I was amazed at how disgusting what my dog was doing was I was amazed at how much I still loved my dog despite the filth he was in And I realized that I had to wash my dog clean before he could freely roam around my house. Then in an instant, the Holy Spirit told me this is how God saw me in my sin.

I wanted a male GSD but at 71 was worried about cost, the energy level & strength & being on a high floor in a condo that didn’t allow large dogs. I prayed for the right GSD & my condo’s acceptance for the dog as a future SD. Lo & behold, I recently adopted just the most perfect almost a year old, abandoned XL male GSD after calling about another one. The rescuer said that wasn’t my dog but she had the one for me. Discovered condo rules had changed & I could have a large dog, he is very sweet, low energy/prey drive, easily trained, loving & perfect for me. Has brought new life & fun to my blind, diabetic 13 yo mini-dachsie, Lily. Cost was only $200 tax deductible & included neuter & microchip & delivery to me. God truly answered my 🙏 ❤ ya, Duke!

This is all true. I have had dogs my entire life. I recently was forced to retire and now own two puppies that give me purpose. They enrich my life and I enrich theirs. They are my Emotional Support Animals.

I am a disabled 62 yo woman and I adopted a very scared and abused rescue dog. This dog is still terrified after 7 years but boy does he worship me and I adore him. He looks at me with such love and I have had pets my whole life and only one other (Pearl) a rescue cat was as loving!❤❤❤❤

We just lost our last pup in March at the age of 17, we miss him so. We’ve had seven over the years, we’ve loved every one of them . Some day soon , we may get another pup to love. They truly do give unconditional love. ❤

We have had 14 dogs over the years, last all were rescue. Said good bye to our last on three days ago. Dogs love is the closes to how God loves us.

I just had to let my 13 yr old chocolate lab/beagle go to the rainbow bridge. She was my best friend, confidant and lover of my soul. I love her with everything I am. I am so lonely, sad, broken and without purpose. I, too, feel as though my heart will never heal. She would look at me with her golden eyes and we knew what the other was thinking. I have a rescue dog that whenever I am upset he is up in my lap just comforting me everytime. And he could be sound sleep and just hears me sniffling and he is there by my side. He has been through all of my bad times and has always lifted my spirits for the last 14 years. And now I have 5 dogs total that bring me happiness every single day and I couldn't imagine my life without a dog. I personally love them more then humans sometimes. ❤

Was asked to look after a dog for one week while his then owner was away. When they got back they were going to rehome him. No interest in dogs and didn't really like them. Seven years later I can say he changed my life. Is never away from my side. At the time he came for that week I was a raging alcoholic. Didn't socialise. Children were grown up and I had a fatal belief that my life was a wash up and over. Well the alcohol is long, long gone. The time I spend with my dog echoes in every part of my life. I'm not religious but dogs are a blessing.

I watch this as i rescue a beautiful stray dog of my university. He moved in our hostel in winters and since i stayed for first time in my hostel away from my pets, it became lonely, buy my beautiful Grizzly gave me company in all seasons. However other hostel inmates who hate dogs grew hostile, they beat him up and he's growing aggressive due to fear. I have legally adopted him to protect him from these monsters and taking him home with me this summer break. ❤❤❤❤We never leave our friends behind.

My Maggie was found in an abandoned burnt house with dead babies in her belly😢 she was rescued by an animal rescue out of Detroit. I had just had to put down my third fur baby and I felt lost but the heartbreak hurt so bad so I thought I would take a break and not get anymore. I'm getting older, my kids are grown and I am not married so my son noticed depression setting in and suggested volunteering at a shelter. To avoid bringing every dog at the shelter home with me, my friend sent me the picture of Maggie. It was love at first sight. I met her the next day and she's been with me ever since❤ I believe God sent us to each other to save both of us❤ no one can tell me different.

My grandparents bought me a puppy for Christmas the year before my Grandpa died. For 16 years she was someone for me to love. Then, in her last years, I met and married my husband and we had a baby. Shortly after she met my baby, my dad found my dog floating in the swimming pool. God had decided it was time for my dog to be with him.

It was Serendipity that sent me my two crazy loving faithful boys!

Manchmal sind Menschen erstaunt und sagen, aber wir kennen uns doch gar nicht, das stört Roshi nicht, er begrüßt sie, wie alte Freunde. Ich denke oft, welches weise Wesen steckt in diesem kleinen Tier, das immer in Freude und mit grenzenloser Liebe lebt. Ich bin sehr sehr dankbar dafür, dass mir diese beiden Tiere geschickt wurden und wünsche allen Menschen, dass sie auch diese Erfahrung machen dürfen. 😊❤

I had a dog and I named him Eddie, he was 8 weeks old when I bought him and he stood by me for 17 years when he died from kidney failure. I was a mess for two months then one of my neighbours had a female Jack Russell who was rescued from an abusive SOB and she needed a home so I was chosen. Her name is Angel and I've never had such an obedient loyal and loving dog. I'm 70 and have had dogs all my life so I know that it takes years to train dogs to this level and before she had the SOB for a short time she belonged to a little old lady who had died. My 33 year old son died a couple of years before all this and he loved dogs so I'm sure that he sent her to me.

In my simple way in trying to make sense of their short lives, I figure that they were born to live out God’s love. Dogs just fulfill their mission faster than humans sometimes. They live to tweak us sometimes too, making us better at being a human. I know that I am a better human because of the dogs that I’ve been blessed to have with me.

I agree with all you have said. At my age I said I would never have another dog and did to being disabled. But I was at a friends and she had a rescue dog and said she is giving him away after a year. I looked into the dogs eyes and within 2 seconds I said I’ll take him He has been a true blessing sent from God. He watches every move I make to make sure I don’t fall and come back without having a problem that might hurt me. I lost all 5 of my cats 2 years ago. They were 27 years old. I never knew they lived that long. I had all of them from birth. Miss them so much. My dog even misses them. He shies it every day looking for them or crying at door to see if they got outside somehow and wants me to check the door for them. So sad. ❤❤😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am blessed with the best friends I can ever have, my three rescue Border Collies. There is no other dog as wonderful and intelligent as a Border Collie and my three are thankful that I rescued them, they don’t leave my side.

A street dog I was familiar with on the street, after a while followed me home and no matter what I said or did to convince her to return to the area of street where she hung with a patch of dogs, she refused to turn back. It's been over a year since we've been living together and we are very fond of the bond we've made. 😊 I see nothing but love being displayed towards me each and every day. I've had multiple human partners mostly for love and companionship, they only used me. I'm now happy that my dog is in my life. THANK YOU GOD 😊

I love that you included Dobermans in this video. In April we lost two dogs that adored each other, us, and everyone they met. The word "Nefesh" is Hebrew and refers to the soul and spirit. This does not just include humanity; it also includes animals. Everyone should see this video. How you treat an animal is how you'll treat a dog. Dog spelled backwards is God for a reason. As this video so aptly illustrates, dogs will love us in ways that only God can. Throughout my life, it has been dogs, not people who gave me a reason to live and kept me alive.
