The bombing of August 6, 1945
The atomic bomb, called Little Boy, was armed half an hour before the drop.
On August 6, 1945, at 8:16:02 a.m., after approximately 43 seconds of free fall, activated by altitude sensors and its radars, it exploded 580 meters above the city.
You will see the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, where an atmosphere of calm and respect reigns, where words are no longer useful, where tears escape from eyes, where silence persists deep within us. Sometimes the psychological oppression is so strong that some people stop, or sit down to catch their breath.
