Cake is Back, i realy miss the Covid Nerux and pre Covid Rewi times, the clan wars on Nerux between Infinity, Holy and later venqu, Hypixel being not so sweaty and being able to moonwalk without blocks bugging away.

The combat test snapshots still have a community around them and there is still one last server that supports it, nexia AND IT JUST GOT UPDATED. also there are a lot of things that the community needs to be aware of like recently some modders made a fabric mod that can allow you to play cts combat on 1.20.1! people are unaware that you can play bedwars on the combat test snapshots, on nexia, RIGHT NOW on 1.20.1 with a small but active community. please make a video playing this, we really need players

The problem with implementing 1.9+ servers with faster attack speed is that many servers have tried this, and failed. Look at some HCF servers that have done this before to attempt to revive their gamemode, they all died right after implementing. As a concept it sounds reasonable but when you implement it it doesn't do much to help the gamemode.

They died because people have to switch versions between them and Hypixel/others. Some people don't play on the never versions out of principle, they disgust them, but that is also being fixed atm

Something I think you missed is that the 'lack of new things' isn't the only reason that games like bedwars are dying, although it is a big part of it. Another big problem is that the anticheat on hypixel is so badly implemented that the average player will lose to cheaters more often than legit players, let alone the sniping problem

I think that they made the anticheat bad on purpose. It always bans people when they do things the legit way, but it doesn't ban people that do the exact same things using cheats (take less kb, bridge fast, increase hit reg, etc.). That way, the average players don't run into many sweats and when they lose to cheaters they have an excuse. It's hard to believe that someone could be so simple-minded as to code that garbage not on purpose, but the worst part is that people get spit in their faces and ignore it. (and also we cancelled Mineplex, with it's amazing gamemodes like Super Smash Mobs because of it's anticheat, which wasn't banning the cheaters but was not doing harm to legit players at least)

That's definitely a take I haven't heard before, but I don't think hypixel would do all that just so it would be easier to make excuses. Also, if that were the case, then why is the anticheat still terrible in competitive tournaments, with many cheaters placing highly?

@@pqrkymc if that were the case, it would be for the same reason. Hypixel doesn't want to be competitive, it wants space for newbies. What do you think the answer to that question is? Hypixel with it's $20 000 000 a year can't afford to buy a $30 anticheat?

But it doesn't matter how bad the anticheat is, there will never be space for 'newbies' especially in the tournaments. And yes, being competitive isn't hypixels main goal but if it wasn't in their interest why would they host so many tournaments in the first place?
