This video only shows how bad AP Katarina is. He couldn't do anything by himself if it wasnt for his team CC effects. Especially the laning phase is tragic. AD is much more versatile and performing when you can just lock e + auto lands, while as AP you relly on passive and w daggers to land the biggest part of the damage and enemies make their distance easily, especially in higher ELO. AD build paths provides more defensive stats and sustain too, with really good options depending on enemy damage composition. After Sylas was introduced she got so many counters that the champ has got more miserable progressively. With AD Kata one auto attack deals the damage of two q daggers late game, your ult is almost double the damage, you got defensive stats and less gambling around "will he escape the passive spin range in time or not".

Why do u take conq if u go ap, and if the answer is laning phase, is it worth it playing without runes late game to play AA laning phase?
