Maybe instead of soaking the food you just feed them less. Also maybe get some substrate or plants so that you have a biological filter. I keep 15 small fish and a 3” comet in a 35 gallon tank. I never have to do water changes or methylene blue treatments. I realize fancy goldfish are more prone to disease … but you’re not helping the situation either.

Why dose she yk..put them out in the sun with a bathtub with no oxygen for them??- THERES tons of KZfaqrs who have a special tank for this type of thing with oxygen and everything. Not just water that’s “safe” for fishies. Mix feelings yk?

I always soak my Betta fish, Sun Tzu, food before I feed him. Makes it much easier for him to eat his food too. And less air building up in his tummy.

@@vitisvinifera1590 haha thank you!! His tank is more Asian themed with a temple and some drift wood. I did have dwarf short grass in there as well. Plus he’s red so I decided to name him Sun Tzu to fit the theme.

I'd also suggest adding a bubbler to methalyne blue/salt balths! It helps to reduce stress and further increase oxygen intake, which lowers the chance of a sick fish dying during a bath Your goldies are adorable!

I think it's not swim bladder diseas, which is a bacterial infection, but a digestive problem. Air stuck in the guts makes it hard to swim. The air makes the fish float up. Swim bladder disease is when the organ swim bladder is infected with bacteria and can't function properly. (I'm not a native english speaker so something might got lost in translation.) *edit: spelling misstakes

API Just means Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient/ the fish can undergo a high level blood pressure, and a state of Osmotic dehydration because of the salts cuz. Methylene Blue is rarely used in humans now.
