Just picked up a new 2020 Dutch Star 4369 at North Trail in Fort Myers, FL. I just took it on a maiden voyage to South Carolina for a dirt bike Enduro. Then stayed at Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort for a week. I put 2,000 miles on it and it performed flawlessly. The comfort drive is a serious game changer. In my old Thor Outlaw I experienced white knuckle fever every time I drove it. You can’t go wrong with a Newmar.

We are dry camping, dirt bike riding beach going folks. Our Tiffin Allegro , 2 slide is a great coach. Every thing works, every time you need it. We stole it at 15,5000.00 its a 2000 with 35,000 miles and 400 hours on Gen. It truly is about how you are going to use the coach. Adding a strip LED light down the passenger side is a must for light.

We just sold our Tiffin Allegro Bus and bought a Newmar Mountain Aire. Couldn’t be happier with our decision. Those 365s on the front rims are sweet. Full wall slide out, awesome. We only drive about 8,000/year, but sleep about 3 months. The extra room in nice.

We run a Tiffin with 920 watts of solar 600ah of lithium. We fulltime boondock and run 9k to 10k a year. There have been suspension changes made koni shocks and a safety plus. Our coach is awesome we do our preventative maintenance and annual inspections. The problems we have had have been minor because of our maintenance program. If you think you can own a large motorhome without a maintenance program and drive it 20k a year You're dreaming.

That’s great that you are moving to a Prevost. You should be able to get $125,000 or more with all you have done to it and you have the audience to do it! Everyone knows how well you take care of it an everything that has been done. It might help for some folks if you could tell how many miles are on it and mileage and age of the tires. Plus yours is like a Celebrity Coach now maybe someone will buy just because you owned it! Best Wishes and keep us posted with all of those videos. We know it is a lot of work.

Andrew, you have been an important resource for those looking at a premium level motorcoach (especially me). Now it's your turn to listen to your own advice. As the owner of 3 previous motorhomes starting with a gas-powered Pace Arrow years ago and then moving to two levels of diesel pusher, I am suggesting that unless you are looking to constantly turn over your coach, plan on buying what you would consider being your last purchase. Production coach products for the last 5 to 7 years have been going down in quality as more units get pushed out the door. Don't settle for another stepping stone. I love the new 2021 Newmar King Aire but I don't want to drive 1850 miles to get factory service. In following your videos, I have been most interested in the post-sale warranty and service policies you feature during your tours (as well as what most often breaks). The idea that when in trouble I can wake up a knowledgable technician in the middle of the night at Newell and get help is the type of support I want when spending this type of money. The last thing I want to do is be told to go and find a different service tech for each major component on the coach. Had that with Fleetwood and American. As you stated in this video, you need to figure out your objectives and lifestyle. I need the coach for both business and pleasure. I will use it frequently but I don't plan to live in it for long periods of time. It seems as if bus-based coaches offer the maximum over-the-road durability but you give up some of the smaller things like head height, or an interior that can't accommodate more than 2. As for selling your existing Tiffen, with all of the work done to yours and the accountability that your video history shows, I would look at $120k as the hard stop.

Love your videos. That said I would never recommend that anyone buy a typical RV. They are all junk. My first "RV" was a 1977 Blue Bird Wanderlodge with the CAT 3208 and it was built like a tank. IMO the biggest mistake RV buyers make is buying a typical RV. It's best to skip all that and go straight to a commercial grade motorcoach. The Prevost, Wanderlodges and Newell coaches would be the best options with Prevost by Liberty or Marathon at the top of the food chain. It's like buying a camera tripod. Get a good one and skip all the junk. In the long run you save money. By the way I would go with a riveted Prevost maybe 1996-1999 non-slide. Get a garage kept one-owner with a great service history if possible and call it a day. Then own it for the rest of your life. This while other folks are going through a half dozen or more RVs and spending GOD know how much money on them. Keep up the great work Andrew!

Have you considered a non-slide Prevost then having one or two slides installed? I understand that it costs about 1500 to 2000 per foot for slides. If you do an 8 foot in the bedroom then a 22 foot in the living area that's 45-60k which I think is a lot less than buying a double slide unit. I'd love to know your thoughts on this. Good luck on your sale and purchase. Love your videos.

Andrew, an RV from a company like Prevost is kind of like a Lexus and is a lot more complex but also much better built and as far as problems go I can give you my car experience, we keep cars a long time and usually about 20 years, I had a Nissan maxima that was purchased new and over the years even though it was well serviced it had a ton of problems, fuel injector, new transmission, HVAC fan, three door window suspension units, and lots more. While we had this car we purchased a used Lexus ES a year older than the Nissan, and in the years we kept that car until it was 22, the only problems it ever had were the volume control knob on the stereo got loose we had that fixed and is was expensive and we had a power steering hose develop a leak, easy fix. So for us we replaced the Nissan with a new Toyota Highlander and eventually the Lexus with a used Lexus LS and both have been trouble free for many years now.

Looking to put 20-30k miles a year on a diesel pusher, and on a pre-owned Prevost or Newell at that? You know your stuff Andrew no doubt about that but the question you *should* be asking is how much money do you want to spend on maintenance a year. The bells & whistles are nice but like you said that stuff breaks down. If you're looking to push an RV pretty hard for the next few years I'd suggest going with a Super C, bank some bucks THEN buy that Prevost or Newell; you'll have the bank to help cover the maintenance. Personally, if I'd just dropped $30k into a Phaeton and it's in great condition, I'd keep it while putting money away so that finances aren't a concern when you upgrade to what you really want. Sounds like you have "new RV fever"; keep the Phaeton awhile longer.

Seen your numerous videos on Country Coach. How does the Country Coach Monocoque( or is it Semi-Monocoque?) Dynamax chassis compare to the Prevost? In your CC videos you seem quite enamored with it. Is the chassis anywhere near the league of a Prevost/Newell? Anyone? I have an Allegro Bus 2009 43QGP which I really like but I do think about what the next upgrade might be . Don't see Prevost/Newell anywhere close to my financial ability. Thanks for the comments.

You can do a ton of maintenance on that Tiffin and not get anywhere close to Prevost cost. Consider the $$$ you are going to have into a Prevost, that is a continuing depreciating asset. + 10 to below, Super C would be a lot less money and maintenance friendly with forward motor.

Recently subscribed to your channel. Enjoy it! Also, I learned from you DON'T BUY an RV. Your honesty tells me that I'll stick with my Chrysler Pacifica and my favorite hotel/motel chain. Too much of a hassle owning and money down the drain with a Class A that costs more than my home.

Hi Andrew....well, it is definitely non standard times. I'd bet you could get low to mid retail on your rig + 50% of your interior upgrade. Normally, I'd say you're going to be eating your interior upgrade and the highest you could hope for is low retail. Though I hate to see you get rid of your Phaeton as you haven't really had it very long, it will be exciting to see what you do get. With your status and contacts, I'm sure you are going to stumble onto a Prevost that will be within your $$ comfort zone in no time. Best of luck in your search!!

I’m in the same situation. I’m putting on a lot of miles. I have a 19 Allegro Bus and looking to get something new that will handle the miles plus I’ve had a lot of problems. I’ve been to Red Bay - they are great but still having problems. What are your thoughts about the Foretravel Realm?

An Excellent Choice ... High Quality Build ... if you can afford one And if you have that money, then you SHOULD look at 4/5 year old NEWEL too In my opinion, Newel & Foretravel are Value for Money ... Prevost is social/status quo By the way, I had Newel and have a Foretravel ... Never had Prevost .... lol ( probably, that's why I am biased ...

I think you should get a Super C. Those are built to be driven. I have seen some nice ones recently on a F550 with 4WD. I would assume that it would be lease expensive to maintain and they can tow a lot with it.

I love Jesus with all my heart and would not steer you wrong. Need to look at the Renegade Classic with weather package. Whether it’s 110 degrees or 35 below zero you will stay warm when it’s cold out and cool when it’s hot out. Also, need to talk to IWS Sales out of Boise Idaho! Talk with Ben...seriously!!! They been in business over 20 years and use them themselves as a family. Also ask about the iPad, 24/7 hotline and roadside assistance. Plus they are totally customizable. Hope to be getting mine picked up next spring 😀👍. People make the business and they are family owned and amazing people. Not all You Tube channels are the same...”You” make this channel what it is! Same with Renegade dealers 👍

It's okay for those who love big rigs. I own a Prevost conversion. tAke all the seats out, put my own electrical in, (way out does what they do.. I have like 30K watts of lithium, etc. Anyway, very nice conversion is only fraction of the cost of Liberty or Marathon. Same story with Renegade. I like the idea of putting your car on the semi's that have the trailers. But only a smart for two. Again, not for me. God bless all. (ps, if not for thinking as I do, I'd never have their options. It costs too much for me. And yet, their options can't even do what mine does.

We are thinking about moving to a Coach now because of Physical issues I'm dealing with. I love to Tow, always been my preferred. Bring the house with us and leave it. Now though at 58 just getting harder to set up get in and out of among other things. Most likely a C but a big one that won't have any issues with pulling our Fusion on a Trailer. Market is fast becoming a Buyers one as folks have tried Pandemic RVing and finding it wasn't for them. Hoping that sweet deal will be out there for us. Still love our 2012 North Trail, if I could drive like I used to it be no issue. Oh well.

You need a Prevost 1996-2000 riveted non slide. I would prefer a Liberty, Marathon, Country Coach in that order. Polish and detail and have the nicest rig of that era. I would like that for myself but I have a family of four, so we went with a CC Magna.

Pickin up what you’re puttin down, but I’ve put about 4,000 miles this summer on my ‘97 holiday rambler endeavor diesel with no issues. I don’t see how racking up miles would hurt the house part of the rv in something like mine any more than a bus chassis except that maybe the bus chassis rides a little smoother. Y’all, putting 20-30k miles a year on any diesel pusher should not be a struggle for it.

I think your Tiffin is amazing. Your comments about needing to baby the Tiffin to keep it from breaking worry me. I think of the Phaeton as a top notch coach with an excellent chassis and drive train. I'm curious to know what you're considering other than the Prevost. That's well outside my zip code.

Hey Andrew, Love your videos. I think now definitely is the best time to sell your Tiffin and get your money back. My goal would be to try my best to basically break even which means you still win big because you have used your Tiffin several times and added a few more thousand miles on it. So if you can get out and not lose that would be awesome. Next I would wait a while till the market readjusts on RV’s because we all know the future deals will post pandemic and many of the folks who bought during this time will be looking to sell and the market should have some great deals especially with all your connections. I know you’re trying to go full time KZfaq but you might consider striking a deal with a production company to drive their products and review the coach for the rest of us.
