I have been thinking about getting a goldendoodle for a couple years but I am not sure if they would be happy with our family. We own a home in the woods, we have a local lake we all walk around (3mile walk), we have a 8 year old heeler/lab mix(female), a cat and the moment my son is 1years old. I am a stay at home mom so I'm always home. I would like to get my son a good first dog when he is 3-6years old. I just want to make sure that the dog will be happy in our life style because we have a low energy lifestyle but we like to go for hikes and walks.

They are gorgeous! We LOVE our golden doodles. We have raised many breeds through out our 43 years of marriage. We are a family of dog lovers. Our dogs are our family members and are raised in the house with us! We NEVER had more than one breed at a time. Breeding was limited to 2....maybe 3 litters per female. Another words, we are extremely responsible pet owners. Can you tell me why so many goldendoodle breeders refuse to be breeding rights? I guess I just don't get it.
