Honestly, deleting Marinette is friggin’ hilarious. Especially since she’s effectively Astruc’s fictional daughter with a woman he had a crush on at some point that he’s living vicariously through. My personal hot take is that Ghost Force and Miraculous should’ve swapped run times.

It’s a shame Marinette went through such awful characterization-when I first watched the show I was able to relate to her clumsiness, awkwardness, and longing for affection. But then Astruc decided to give her so many flaws while refusing to give her the character development she needed. If there’s anyone to blame for why everyone hates her, it should be him.

Miraculous Ladybug could have been a fire show if the romance stuff was completely cut out in favor of their being a greater focus on character development. Adrien deserved to be in a better show. Blonde boy with an evil dad where have I seen that seen that before where it's actually pulled off better.

Honestly, cringe shaming is stupid. Sometimes making unusual decisions while drawing and designing the concept is fun and learning something from them shouldn't be punished. It doesn't hurt anyone, unlike public humiliation. Your encouragement of doing things which are usually frowned upon or just unpopular, complemented with nice delivery and a beautiful artstyle, is what initially made me subscribe and, honestly, take some inspiration.

What would your ladybugs powers be? Because I think the OG ladybug’s powers are too op.

Being someone who likes Marinette, I can agree that there are some unlikeable things about her. Like her attitude as Ladybug. I HATE how she treated Cat Noir in some scenes. And also how she literally never shared anything about herself as ladybug. I know that she had to keep her identity secret in case Hawkmoth ever somehow found out, but she was just SO over the top about it. The fact that she like, NEVER shared her emotions with Cat Noir just made their relationship not as close (in a professional way) than it could've been throughout the show. Also I hate how Marinette literally stalks adrien.

id like to think that one of the things that would make them friends would be a moment when they're competing in something Lila loses, freaks out and -- would say something to her like "Everyone has things that they're good at and things they're bad at, i'm sure you have some of each as well. Honestly part of the fun of having ocs is to fix any grievances in a story you dislike,and I have been doing that with my ocs for years now. You sharing your oc and explaining how she would affect the story really made me happy that I'm not the only one who does so. Cringe is dead, or that's what they say I think.

i always though ML would do better with a chiller MC and even as a kid, I hated the way Ladybug/Marinette treated both Cat Noir/Adrien in both contexts. As heroes, Ladybug is so dismissive of Cat Noir, it's infuriating. And as civilians, Marinette treats Adrien like an exotic animal or something. The stalking is weird; the writers def could have done the whole anxious girl watching her crush way better. Also, New Paris? It's giving San Fransokyo from BH6 and I love it.

Maybe inspired by the lady bug franchise but making it your own thing. Just an idea that may be fun if you liked making the super hero's in this. I just think it would be cool to see the idea of zodiac inspired hero designs more,the only one's I really know about are Miraculous Lady bug and Zodiac knights.

I haven't watched much of Miraculous ladybug (Randy Cunningham 9th grade Ninja was my jam tho. They're pretty similar in terms of villain powers if you like the potential!) But apparently the creator romanticizes her stalking AND made Marinette's parents self inserts of himself and his EX!? If that doesn't say "stalker creep" then nothing does. At most keep that fanfic private and make sure you portray it as bad and creepy 💀 which he apparently does not do

And I love them bonding on their dead female guardian figures lol Also, with Jaime’s current design, I currently imagine Adrien as having a lot of light reds and pinks with green accents to match… which idk if you’d want, considering you said you’re cool with his current design and idk if it’d fit, but I just thought I might share lol Just wanted to say once more how much I love Jaime compared to Marinette… as a kid, her constant stalking of Adrien absolutely horrified me and she gave me a LOT of second-hand embarrassment… I’m much more happy with the concept of Jaime being there to add some sense to this show. I like Lila’s design too, I love a manipulative antagonist, I love the idea of having more than JUST the akumatized villains that you can’t learn to like or empathize with or watch them as they gain development…. At all… and her having a sister, that’s adorable (and a possible catalyst for drama if Lila ever reforms), and I love her clothes, they’re pretty I don’t like Miraculous that much but I liked the video, so sorry if I talked too much 😅

When it comes to stuff like this I far prefer replacing the whole cast rather then just one. Idk, just gives more to work with if that makes sense? Just personal preference I guess, I've never felt very interested in shipping ocs with canon cast, always felt weird for me. Always been pretty strictly oc x oc or canon x canon. That's not me saying other people can't do what they want of course, it's just a show lol. When it comes to Marinette specifically though, in a way i blame the writers a lot more for how the cast turned out because they don't know how to write teenagers coherently in the slightest. And they think cringe = funny when the cringe they write makes me want to rip my hair out. Like the statue scene. Took me an hour. An. Hour. *And then they try to retcon that as a good thing, like no, that sucked, why'd you make me see that again.*

I honestly don’t like the idea of getting rid of Chloe in the show due to her redemption arc actually being good BUT THEN SCRAPPED. Honestly I do think it’s better to just not have Chloe in the show in the first place rather than going back in forth with her being a minor antagonist and being redeemed.

I…don’t know how I feel about Chloe being replaced with Lila. Especially since it was CHLOE who came first before Lila and it was CHLOE who had more potential of a reformation arc than Lila ever did. But it’s not my video so I can’t do much about it. ….I also don’t know how I feel about you lowkey hinting at replacing Alya as Rena Rouge….with Lila (and Maggie). (Seriously what’s with this fandom and not letting Alya cook?) But regardless, the story itself is interesting and I do like the redesign for Lila.

Hi, I honestly love the idea of kicking out Marinette out of the show or at lest downgrading her to rival/bully and replacing her with other girl. If this pathetic thing could ever be saved it has to be reworked from the ground up without Tomas Astruc, and Marinette is already way too tainted as a stalker and certified Mary Sue (she is the reason why I passed on seeing the movie, I know that Jeremy did everything to rewrite her and make her likable again, but after show I am unable to see her in any other light). I even wanted to do that for fanfic I was planing, but due to my love-hate relationship with the show I never ended up writing it. I made two versions of my entry the first character was, sweet, but very shy and timid Solange, a girl who Adrien had been online friends with, vented to and geeked out with for years, who now had to move to Paris, because of her mother's work, she would take over black cat miraculous, while Andien would become Mr. Bug full time, and second was bit alternative, aloof and cold Meili, Marinette's long lost twin who her parents put up for adoption, because back then they coundn't afford two kids, but because Marinette's parents discover her during school music competition, and her guardian died leaving her in an orphanage they were only to happy to take her in, which doesn't go over well finally giving this sickly perfect family some conflict, Mei would take over as Ladybug and she and Adrian would bond over their bad lives and Adrien both as Chat and normally would help to convince her to give other people a chance since she is quite a recluse and doesn't trust people because of her past. In both versions character know about each other, with Solonge it's even Adrien who convinces her and new guardian to give her miraculous.

I think you should make a spin off series with these characters i would pay to watch it 💙
