@@De-Valois on a completely unrelated sidenote, did you know that you can do both the Crusader Kings missions and the Conquest of Italy missions as France as long as you hold the "Secure the Alpine Pass" mission? If you deny the Pope after starting the Crusader King's branch, it'll automatically switch out the Crusader Kings mission for the Conquest of Italy missions, this happens even if you complete all the Crusader Kings missions. This makes France have the longest and most powerful mission tree, and so far I haven't seen any KZfaqr even mention this, much less do it. It's like a quasi-secret path.

@@FullMetalZergling It sounds like a cool trick though is that really worth it? Getting Italy as a really powerful march for no AE because AI tanks it sounds like a better scenario if not going for one tag blob and italian wars branch doesn't really have anything going for it I think

i believe its only a 33% chance as they have 3options in the event but you can always save scum if you don't get your desired result

it says i replied but wont let me see it so ill put again just incase i dont really save scum for positive events, only to avoid negative ones like stab hits but that would be a very nice option and probs would be essential if you was trying to do a similar run in very hard edit: acutely i take that back as i do save scum things like papal controller and good leaders which i guess is positive events

Diplo relation limit?

@@Jegrygerfede You can get like 8 relations by 1480, 9 by 1540 Again, not saying it is "more efficient" (it definitely isnt), just "more fun". I recommend trying a Switzerland game where you first diplo vassalize half of Italy, dismantle the empire and then diplo vassalize half of the HRE. Pretty fun

The problem is that the guy is not telling how many time he save scummed the game to get good ruler, traits, events, etc . I can tell you - a lot... This is not what an average player would enjoy to do ...

@@markstrategy8156 still impressive, you can for example do wc haida, without switching tags, (haida has the worst national ideas), average player do not enjoy this type of gameplay, but still impressive

@@bartekkrzysik7730 Everything great is known in comparison . If you would know that eu4 WC world record is in 1472 , you wouldn't call this impressive ;) Its only about a matter of time you want to spend on savescumming and knowing some "unique" mechanics.

it would be hard to make a guide on how to manage coalitions as its really situation depending where your playing the manpower force limit economy who your available to get truce timers with threw claims or their allies, the allies you can get and many other factors but i will try and leave extra information on my runs how I'm dealing with ae

am not sure on what the % chances are for burgundy to not rival you bohemia and Austria will rival each other quite abit savoy is not needed, the only reason i attacked them is because they got excommunicated and just waiting till they leave HRE to get the provinces for the -ae mission is just fine (the 2 provinces i took in the first war where useless to the set up but where -50% ae at the time )

because i was only expanding in my own religion you can avoid most of the rebels by stacking tolerance of true faith, national unrest and higering autonomy. with these 3 things you will be surprised how little rebels were spawning this run overextension is kind of irrelevant as it only really costs extra money from corruption and extra manpower from rebels which France doesn't have a problem with either

@@De-Valois there really isnt a recent playthrough of rome from extended timeline imo it would be cool if u do it

France pretty much have unlimited manpower from the start with how high it is and modifiers you can get like increased levis, defender of faith etc as for rebels you will be surprised how little rebels spawn when you conqueror true faith provinces while stacking tolerance of the true faith and national unrest aswell as highering autonomy in all newly conquered provinces

i haven't tried in very hard but if you take espionage instead of diplo then you should be able to keep expanding without coalitions even on very hard

1377/1123 spent quite a bit of gov reform on expand administration which is kind of a waste but gotta do what you gotta do edit: this can be fixed finishing admin ideas , Madrid project and court houses

you could do the same before France changes as their old mission tree offers a pu on castle/Spain and vacillation of Poland /common wealth but yeah i still agree with what your saying

mon français est mauvais j'empile -70%ae ce qui me permet de beaucoup m'élargir puis je m'allie ou combats les grands européens tant que je respecte les délais de trêve et que les grands alliés ne sont pas assez grands pour former une coalition

i stack -ae which allow initial conquest when the -ae gets to high i then get truce times and alliances with all big catholic nations from their its just about maintaing truce timers and alliances while expanding

no i just didn't know what to name myself and at the time France was my favorite nation so i payed homage

i have save files on all my runs in discord so they can be checked by things like skandenburg for cheating and if u follow the strat of stacking -ae with France you will see the power of it (take espionage instead of diplo if your struggling with the ae)
