Glorious weather and had a free morning - got some deliveries in. Thought I'd run through why I use the bike I do for work, as well my thoughts on picking a bike in general, for courier work in London. Enjoy & do comment your thoughts.

Nice video as always. One very good think about simple air cooled bikes is they are realiable and also easy to work on. And also very cheap to buy. You can't beat that. :D

Id say any Japanese scooter I went for the pcx for 32 litre under seat storage and 8. 1/4 litre petrol tank 17000 miles zero problems And done all servicing and work myself

The Vision and PCX are the easiest scooters to steal on the planet, no way I'd risk owning one of those in London.

You are one of the rare delivery riders not on a L plate. Did you pass your test for this job or did you have a full licence anyway?

In UK maybe this are the usual delivery scooters .. In Greece and Romania there are fleets of Sym Symphony 125 and Kymco people 125 .. One of those Sym-s is on 100k km, still running. p.s. Honda SH 300 and Vespa GTS 300 are extremely popular among the commuters.

It’s something I fancy doing. But I don’t have a small bike. It’s a Triumph Explorer. Tried to sort insurance. It’s either a car or a moped. No big bikes 🙄. It isn’t London either

the lock box you have on the back of your bike there, could I easily install this on an Ebike with a cargo rack? If so where would I purchase one from thanks !! 😊

I've seen ebike couriers using the exact same top box as mine - it's called a Puig Big Box. I use the smaller 60L model. pyramidmoto.co.uk/products/puig-big-box-60l-with-lock-black

as a bike courier, which apps you work on the most, as I am thinking bout moving back to the UK and was wondering as I would be getting myself a bike to do deliveries and use my electric car to do Uber

I only work off 3 apps : Gophr / Deliveroo / UberEats. Pretty even between them really

@@TheLDNCourier I have a delivery bag, that I use for Menulog J(ust Eats in UK) and was wondering if this bag as it's a back style as well as normal style that they have for car if these 2 bags would fit into this lockbox, if so I would definitely buy one the other thing too is that I would have to email you with the photo of the cargo rack I have for the back of the bike, as KZfaq doesn't allow photo's to be sent via comments

Hi mate how much delivery insurance do you pay monthly ? I’m getting crazy quotes £300 a month for hire and reward so it’s preventing me from starting.

I pay 50p an hour when I'm actively working for the hire and reward element. Check out Zego Flex might work out cheaper for you
