Why I decided to leave Newfoundland and move to Ontario - My interesting story on moving out

After recording 2 times and having some technical issues, here is the finished and better version of the story on why I decided to move out of Newfoundland and go to Ontario to start a new job and a new beginning. The reasons have been ranked in priority order and might be of great use to someone who is considering the same path as me.

With a small population, finding a job in your field in NL is definitely hard. Career advancement is even harder. I left NL because my then spouse had a job in ON, and career-wise I really benefitted from the move. But ON didn't move my soul the way NL does. COVID gave me an opportunity to discover that I was fine working from home - so I made NL my WFH location to wrap up my career and transition to retirement. Definite pluses and minuses to both places, and I think you do a fine job expressing this in your videos. And I enjoy getting the perspective of someone not born here on living in NL.

It all depends on person to person. I think your reasons were genuine and if so the move is the right choice for you. I have a couple of acquaintances who moved to St John;s a couple of decades ago. They have no plans of moving anywhere as they have an established community with the people and especially their neighbours so they are very happy there. Plus job and business wise they don't see any issues. But It's not the same for everyone or every field.

Western NL is very beautiful but be aware. Limitations on medical professionals, specialty foods, fuel gas. Long cold Winters of wind ice and more ice.

Hey Keetu! I got my PPR but have deferred my intake to next year for MBA from MUN. I'll be moving with my family (spouse and a 5 years old kid), I just wanted to know about my kid's studies. Will he be able to go to a public school if he accompanies me on my Study Permit? P.S Your videos have been extremely helpful. Thanks!

Beautiful place but and it's a big one. Extreme isolation if you do not know many people. Cold long Winters. Limited medical professionals and supplies. Limitations on essentials like ⛽️ gas, fuel high costs of foods. But Beautiful in the 3 months of Summer n Fall.

Newfoundland needs doctors. If you get accreditation to work as a physician in the province you will make great $ and have a job ASAP

Will i get PR easily after study in NL , I overheard if you completed your in NL its easy to PR get? Is that right ? I hope you would give reply😊

Completing a degree in Canada does not ensure a PR except if it’s the TR to PR program.. you will have to find employment after your degree and work for atleast a year or have a job for a year to get a PR..

Environmental Science_Faculty Science Environmental systems engineering and management_Facluty Engineering & Applied Science Environmental systems engineering and management_Facluty Interdisciplinary I would therefore like you to share the program details. Hello if I get pr under Newfoundland pnp and move out to another province than can it create any problem in citizenship

You can’t move out immediately.. you need a valid reason to move out.. it shouldn’t be a problem..

You can move out whenever you want. If you get a PR using the AIPP or PNP program, then you’re committed to staying there as mentioned in the PR application

It’s not isolated if you know people and live in the city. If you like the hustle and bustle of big cities it’s not for you. But if you’re comfortable with your own company and nature it’s magical.

I was born and raised in Ontario. I moved to Newfoundland last year. I love it here. I am from Toronto and moved to a small town. The best thing no traffic ever😂
