Why I HATE my LV Alma BB and why you might too! Pros & Cons!
This video was inspired by Isabelle Anh and her video "popular bags I've sold and why"

In her video she states that she finds that videos about why people did not like a bag was more informative for those who are trying to make a purchase. And I totally agree! So here are the reasons why I hate my Louis Vuitton Alma BB. But also reasons why I loooove it. I hope this helps you make a decision on a bag purchase!

More people need to make these kinds of videos!! Thank you so much for this :D I think the thing is that ... when we’re in the store oohing and aahing over the lovely bags in the moment, we never really know how they will work in real life. I always test whether my stuff fits into a bag I’m considering purchasing, but I rarely start carrying the bag with my stuff in it and walking around the store. Maybe we should all do that?

Mikey Chang I actually just went to try the alma bb on today and kind of fell in love with it!!! It is so gorgeous in person!!! 😍 BUT ended up getting the Gucci soho disco instead since it’s been on my mind for a while. Totally different bags you just can’t compare the two. I may need to add the alma bb to my collection in the future though since I am wanting a small LV in DE! ❤️❤️

I saw the alma pm in noir epi when I got this bag and its so pretty in that leather!! I find it okay when I have it crossbody with the bag behind me. But as someone with anxiety I'm constantly worried about someone reaching into it!

Thank you so much love!! 💖💖 If you're looking for a crossbody with similar vibes to the alma, perhaps try the croisette! It's super cute and made to carry as a crossbody. I was also considering the Locky BB when I was purchasing my alma bb but the locky didn't quite fit my things!

I totally agree with you about it being useless as a crossbody! I don’t have the Alma but have considered it in the past and one reason why I haven’t bought it yet is because I tend to wear crossbody bags…but recently I’ve started loving top handle bags 😄

Thanks for your video! It was really informative especially the point that it is not a crossbody bag! That was one of the reasons I was considering this bag because that’s how I really like to carry my bag. And I thought this bag could give me flexible to use the top handle if I felt like switching it up. The demonstration of how the bag is hard to get into as a crossbody was priceless. I haven’t seen any mention this issue at all. Wow. You have given me something to think about. Thanks again for sharing. Great video!

Thank you very much!! It really is an issue opening it when wearing crossbody. Perhaps look at the croisette? It gives me classic alma vibes but is actually made as a crossbody!

My zipper is very smooth, I have 4 Alma bb’s. I’ve noticed the quality of the zippers have declined since I bought mine 6 years ago. My recent Alma I had to try 4 of them at the store to find one with the best zipper. Quality has gone down in LV. I also bought a separate strap for my Alma bb DE, so I can wear it as a shoulder bag which is better than a cross body. Great review 👍

I bought a slightly thicker LV leather strap, it was expensive but worth it because it's adjustable. The Alma bb looks great worn as a shoulder bag. I sometimes use my strap from my SpeedyB also.

Great fun video! I am thinking to buy one soon but still debating on black epi leather, rose ballerine epi leather, or damier Ebene. I was worried about the length of the strap being too long for me but I guess it won’t matter since it looks uncomfortable wearing it that way.

So true i have the same issue, still i love how it looks but never wore them again as crossbody, I’m still considering to buy a new adjustable strap tho, don’t know if it’s worth it, i still have the strap unused.

OMG I was thinking about purchasing this bag but it;s been out of stock. You are 100% right. I though about that fact that the D-rings are opposit and close together so it cant possibly lay correctly on the hip. Also the bottom is kind of wide for it to be on a hip. I am 5'1" so with out an adjustable strap it may be way too long. You mentioned everything I was thinking. Thank you for the insight. I may look for something else. By the way if my son ever decided to carry a bag (probably not) he can buy yours because you both have the same initials. Good for you being you! You're a brave soul.

@@ThiccMikey Yes, the mini Lou camera bag with the chain. I have a good handful of Louis Vuitton bags, but they’re all big (three ~!!!~ Speedys). I have a additional three LV’s, medium sized. But I bought my fist YSL, Toy Lou Lou, and the quality is amazing, especially for the price!!!

I completely agree with you about alma bb . For last 3 year every time I go to LV store planed to bring alma bb home . Looked the cheap straps and I end up bring differences bag home . This is 4th time watching the video. After watching the 3rd time, I pulled the trigger and bought it knowing not to expect too much from the bag using it as a crossbody. I now owned the bag for 3 weeks and you DID nailed everything about the pros and cons. Because of your review, I bought the Alma and LOVE LOVE LOVE it for the same reason as yours. So thank you! Thank you so much, finally there is someone pointing it out, that the Alma bb is so annoying to wear as a crossbody bag, I have one in epi, I love it with some much hates when I wear it crossbody, the top handles bouncing against my hip when I put them down, and digging into my waist when I put them up! Moreover the bottom is too wide and hanging out too much from my body, but I still love it it is just so cute and classy and chic, it is much a creature that can bring all the elements into one.

@@lilmommacora682 I think the alma bb!! The speedy 25 and alma bb are kind of similar in size but the alma has the added benefit of being able to be dressed up for date night and events! The speedy is a little more casual. I love it though! I have the 30b!

Ohh that's a great question!! As far as bags go they both serve the same function as big carry all bags. I feel like the graceful would be more comfortable with the single bigger strap!

Great informative and entertaining video. Love your style. Your cons are very useful to know. The fact that you can’t open the bag if you use it crossbody is shocking. Definitely an after thought by LV. Could you wear the cross body strap with both on the same side? Does this cause the same issues you mentioned?

I 100% agree with the Cons! That’s why I am returning mine! Not happy with it! Annoying sound of the zippers when I move. I don’t find it comfy carrying as crossbody! I wish I saw your video before purchasing the Alma! Thanks for the video! :)

I agree that this bag is only for top handle. I have a similar bag like this - the Coach Katy satchel and it's slightly bigger and I agree I only use it as a top handle. This bag has been on my wishlist for awhile but I think I would get the PM or MM size. thanks for sharing :)
