Honestly I think the blocky look is what the majority of ppl will end up sticking with. I don’t even mind the new R15 korblox trends either, I just hope to god these meta avatars go out of style.

Funny thing is, if you ask an AI about roblox, or prompt an AI image generator to create a "roblox image", they'll always mention the blocky and lego'ey avatars, never these ugly ahh rthros

Yes because datasets are trained on images and most of the images of roblox used to use r6 and blocky r15.

Probably because these are too recent. If Roblox keeps doing what they’re doing with having these avatars on the front page, soon they’ll become the face of roblox, and AI generators will start recognizing it.

I don’t really think its uncanny, just more… ugly. Like the faces aren’t detailed or stylized so it makes it kinda ugly and it just doesn’t fit Roblox. I feel like they needed to make it more stylized like the UGC bodies.

They don't show the updated rthro avatars in this videos. The default bodies are a starting point you are supposed to upgrade from to a ugc rthro avatar

i like customization variety between having both blockies and rthro gewbors. and you cannot take my Squinkler. He is beauty, he is the moment, he has lovely hairless legs and a nice round egg body and a tv for a head with teeth in the gaping maw his screen shouldve been. As all rthros should be and have.

the original blocky avatars (r6 or r15 whatever) were the best part of roblox imo. you can make your own avatar without being forced to make it realistic. the realistic ones look VERY out of place in an environment meant to be unrealistic.

I started playing roblox recently beacause of the memes, these blocky models are peak comedy if executed properly especially in anime games where they just slap face pngs on blocky models 😭

I do not usually even touch the newest more "realistic" avatars. When I want to make an avatar, I usually am just trying to make characters from anime or cartoons that I like and 100% of the time I do not use the newest rig because it doesn't look good with anything I use on the avatars that I want for specific characters. XD And if I see people using that new realistic rig in the wild, I think they look absolutely ugly and weird. But mostly because it was probably a kid who would use only the head or the legs and have all these other weird parts from other avatars all mishmashed together. And when I see the realistic rigs, I think Fortnite as well.

It doesn't have any personality. It's just funny because it looks bad. Like, I see so many people go "classic roblox was better!!" because other people said it but some of them just miss the point. It's personality, really. I don't blame them for going black and white, focusing on the metaverse thing and AI to fit in, get money but it did kill a lot of that personality roblox had. It's not the end of the world, despite roblox attempting to shove rthros down our throats many times, you still see blocky avatars everywhere. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the community is what makes roblox yey

If you play roblox not for a game or experience but just because theres other people there. Then roblox wins they have infinite content and dont have too rely on game devs for that

ive been playing roblox since 2012 and nowadays i rarely see a reason to play it. i only play like three games and one of those games i have been playing SINCE I JOINED. when rthro was brought to the platform i hated it, and i still hate it to this day... rthro was the start of roblox's corporate transition. modern roblox cares more about investors instead of its players, and with developments in rthro and whatever the metaverse is, it makes players feel even more disconnected from the platform.

it would be cool if they added animations packs of r15 to work on r6 they dont need to add them alll on a single update, they could add 5 animation packs like ninja, levitating etc... and like 3 emotes of the emote wheel on one update, and on the next update add more 5 another packs and some emotes and then going

I mean, it may not be here yet but you can replicate it with animation packs in player settings in hit Roblox game "The COOL Zone" You can only play on PC and laptop tho

I kinda like the diversity now, but I don't like what people do with it. It's kinda just a form of art to make an awesome avatar, I made an accurate momo from avatar the last airbender. Then.. you have people who make random cursed stuff. Btw the realistic humans scare me, I'll never like them. I only like messing around with tall or short avatars and replicating characters from animation.
