Why I like combining COLORED Pencils and PASTEL Pencils

that's really beautiful, and restful. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to lose the grainy quality to pastelmat, even with many layers. I think the solution must be to work large

Yes working larger helps! That way you have more room for layering:)

I loved this video! Your picture turned out beautifully with all the fun colors! I saw that you used the pastel pencils for background and CP pencils on Orcas, I was wondering if you can use colored pencils over pastel and pastel over colored pencils?

@@Leontinevanvliet ive never used pastelmats before because I use pencils only. If you dont mind sharing, it would be really helpful if you can share some insights about the paper’s use! I imagine that they are coarser and hold the pastel pencils better? Thanks so much for all of this!!❤️

You are such an amazing artist, one of the best on KZfaq. May I ask what sharpener you use to get the longest, sharpest points for color pencil? I have about 6 of them and none of them have worked for very long. Thanks!

Thank you!! I currently like the Faber Castell colour grip the best, because there are different hole sizes. Also for pastel pencils :)
