I mean. This is why i describe skyrim as "possibly the worst game i ever played. and my absolute favorite" It owuld genuienly be less enjoyable to me if it was better quality wise, It's failures at even the most basic aspects are what make the whole enjoyable, If any part of it was better, It would feel dragged down by the rest. But that doesn't happen, because it's failures are uinversal, and so is the fun that causes.

10:28 So, fun fact, that Monty up there is no ordinary Monty. He is a special Monty who fans have affectionately come to name "Giga Monty." Normally, he's up there 'operating' the searchlight, however, if he ever gets down from his perch for whatever reason and becomes alerted to Gregory's position, he will, no matter where you are, no matter whether you are inside Freddy or not, home in on your position in a mad dash with the best pathfinding of any animatronic in the game and will never leave you alone. So your joke about him having eyes like a hawk is not entirely off the mark. :P I strongly empathize with your outlook on flawed games, by the way. It's so strange to me why people can't just enjoy something and have to constantly compare it to what everyone else thinks to derive enjoyment from it.

@@Based_Gigachad_001 Security Breach is a flawed game, yeah. But people often allow the thought of a game being 'objectively bad' to make their mind up for them even if they're curious about it, or want to try it out. The flaws aren't going to go away if you end up liking it, sure, but it's not gonna hurt you if you end up liking a bad game. People often treat it as something to be ashamed of, rehersing the opinions and critiques of others instead of their own.

I actually think Chica has a lot more personality than you think! In the beginning cutscene where Freddy glitches out, you can see Chica look up at him concerned and even run over to him when he collapses. Her dialogue suggests that she’s normally very kind and peppy, with her instead of either demeaning or vaguely threatening Gregory, she says comforting things a lost child would normally wanna hear

Roxy's insecurities about her place in the band really appeals to me when thinking about how there's still some evidence of Foxy around (the cut outs and plushies). She knows she replaced a beloved character, so she tells herself that she's just as liked, if not more. Everyone loves you, you're the best. Because of you can replace someone, then someone else can just as easily take your spot.

This is why I like the game, it makes the robots have some "true" character it seems that's not really affected by a ghost. And if you think about it, Roxy isn't the only one trying to find a way to cope. But the whole band is affected. Think about it: Chica (despite being a robot) is trying to cope by eating in excess even trash, and Monty is a ball of anger who's past time is destroying his green room. Not sure about Freddy, maybe he's stuffing it down and trying not to let it get to him. Oh gosh, imagine this: Roxy replaced Foxy, then Monty replaced Bonnie. This leaves Chica in a total freak out as two of the original band members were replaced, this leaves only her since there is no way Freddy will get replaced. So the band copes in unhealthy ways; Monty (naturally aggressive to start) lashes out by trashing his room because he recently took the place of someone else, Roxy assures herself in the mirror that she is too loved to be cast aside like Foxy probably was, and Chica tries to ignore her fear by stuffing her beak with anything that she can get her hands on. Freddy himself is aware he is safe, but I feel he does worry for his friends. He used to have 6 friends (Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Roxy and Monty), now he's lost 2 of them, which is why he doesn't want to bring harm to them in order to upgrade himself. Doing that, he'll lose them all.

One of my most favorite aspects of the game is the soundtrack. I feel like its so underrated. I like how a lot of the sections of the pizzaplex has its own tracks because it adds even more personality to each location. During any time where you are hiding or running from an animatronic, the music is programmed very well to add tension in the right places. I also think the ambient music is well written. Not to mention the iconic main theme that plays throughout the game. Overall an extremely diverse soundtrack! Major props to Allen Simpson and others.

It’s interesting how over the course of this game you take the thing that each animatronic values the most. Roxy’s the most obvious with you taking her eyes, no longer able to see in general, and herself. Monty, you take away his claws, given to him so he can play the Bass. You take away his ability to be in the band. With Chica you take their voice box, but in order to do so you shatter her beak. Without her beak she can’t eat properly.

That made me sad. Sun especially got EXTREMELY little time to shine, yet he made such a HUGE impact that there’s a whole fandom around the celestial bots; a fandom that came about solely because they didn’t have a lot of time to interact with the other characters (and one I’m sad to admit I got sucked into). A lot of fanfics in that fandom focus on their brotherly relationship, how they interact with the other bots in the plex, why Moon is so much more unhinged than any of the other bots, and how each animatronic view their lives! The fandom has given these characters a life of their own based solely on the lack of character interaction in the game, itself!

“Loving something in spite of its flaws” is a lesson I had to learn the hard way when I was a younger person. I let what other people thought dictate the fanfic I used to write, even if it was at odds with what I wanted to write, because I didn’t want to be seen as writing “OOC” and therefore bad. But I went against myself in doing it. I’m struggling now to fall in love with writing again in general, and it’s sad. I’m in a much healthier place now, having transitioned and starting to get official diagnoses on neurodevelopmental conditions I’ve suspected contributed to my meltdown(s), but I wish I could go back and change things. I wish I could have just…allowed myself to love what I wrote regardless of what others thought.

I think…I might. Be where you were. I want to write and post OC x canon, because I have an idea I love, but… …well. I sure every fanfic writer has had some unnamed guest account kick them in the nuts, but I’d only been posting for a month when I had my first comment. I was so excited to see what they said. It was on a chapter where one of the characters had an intense, incomprehensible nightmare, and it was meant to be that way, it drove the plot, it was funny in parts. I thought it was *good.* but then, I saw the comment, and it was one word long. “What?” And I could feel my heart crunch. It was…honestly horrible. I was just starting out, I’d been so excited, I wanted people to like my work. I wanted people to love it, and the only comment I have to this day is that one. That one, stupid guest account that keeps mocking me. After that I kept making changes, rewriting things, trying not to be stupid or dumb or cringe. But that just grew a fear of posting, and writing too. I thought something was wrong with my motivation, that I had to *try harder.* but that just burnt me out more. That thought pattern started slipping into other fanfiction that I wasn’t even posting, and my original one very nearly died. I stopped writing new chapters and just kept revising, rewriting, fixing changing- stalling. But then, I got some advice. Good advice, from a user called ‘imemyself.’ They told me to not care about the audience, to write things that I wanna be proud of, that I love. To write for me. And I do want to write for me- I’m still working on developing that mindset, both in my fanfiction and in my novel. and, after reading what you’ve said, I’m going to work even harder. I’m going to write it, I’m going to post it, and even if nobody sees it or even likes it, it’s gonna be there. Thank you.

to me SB, does alot of things wrong, but i commend steel wool for tryung something new with the fnaf formula, even if it didn't turn out the best, even if i more so agree with phisnon with how much i like sb and what makes horror games scary (which for the most part, SB seems to move HARD away from for the most part; in a vacuum i can enjoy it. I've always had the BIGGEST soft spot for security breach because it was the game that brought me into the franchise. There was just something about it that was endearing to me that i couldn't quite pin down, and I'm so happy that this game exists because it has brought so many more people into the franchise that probably wouldn't have without it (like myself). THANK YOU for making a video like this. Though it was admittedly a strange step for the fnaf franchise and ended up being disappointing compared to what we were promised, I love this game so much for its style, setting and most of all characters. I ADORE that we finally got sentient animatronics with so much personality. People seem to be split on that but I’m in the corner of the fandom that’s craved that for so long, and it’s awesome in this game to finally see that!! Plus, like you said, oh my god the PIZZAPLEX!! I want to go there irl, it’s so cool and there’s so many awesome things to see and do. It does disappoint me that so much of it goes unused during the game, but it’s still really cool for me to see and explore, like you said. It makes me sad the amount of hate this game gets for being different from the rest of the series, and while I do COMPLETELY understand people being so disappointed with this game, especially after it showed so much promise and didn’t really live up to the hype, I still adore the game we did end up with. And they have done a really good job with the updates to make game more stable and user-friendly! Tbh my only real complaint, out of the whole game, is Mazercise. Just. I know SB wasn't as scary as we hoped, but I think it has its own style of horror that only a few can see. Think of it, you're playing as a kid stuck in a mall where a killer rabbit (despite lacking presence) is hunting you. The mall is so big that it'd actually make you a little bit paranoid while moving around since she could be anywhere. Not to mention that there are several animatronics coming after you, and your only friend in the whole place is a robot bear. I believe SB gives off a subtle sense of monophobia and claustrophobia if you look close enough.

Thank you! I am so glad that there are a lot more people than I expected, who actually love this game! I love this game so much! Security Breach is my favourite FNaF game and I started playing it about 1-3 months after watching lets plays, in the lets plays the KZfaqrs did not go where I wanted to go, so when I got to play Security Breach myself, I could go where I wanted, and it was so amazing, this game is so amazing! Why I love this game so much is because, basically a lot of the content inside of the game gives me nostalgia, such as the music. Oh, and oh boy is the music AMAZING. I am not just talking about the main theme and Daycare, but I believe that the composers (Leon Riskin and Allen Simpson) did a fantastic job on the music and ambience. The soundtrack known as Otherworldly Ambience 1: plays in the background around the darker areas, such as the Loading Docks, Deep Ambiance 2 plays mostly in Roxy Raceway I believe, there are so many soundtracks. I would also like to mention that basically all of the soundtracks are bangers and they make me happy when I listen to them, they also give me nostalgia. I could make a list, I have a playlist of my favourite but I am gonna list more details why I love this game. The story not being complete never really bothered me that much as the game was so perfect. As of right now it is my favourite FNaF game and unless the DLC or a future game is better it will stay that way. I like the gameplay and it is so fun that you can upgrade your stamina and speed by collecting collectibles (Fizzy Faz and the Shoes). I also like Glamrock Freddy's personality a lot and how he is so nice towards Gregory. I also love the Pizzaplex as so much attention to detail was put in and even more was left in the files (sadly). The fact that basically everywhere you looked you could find details. It was so incredible! With the update logs the game only got better (well they did add some bugs but lets forget that), for example, in the second patch they added a bunch of voicelines that where either new or unused. It is so fun hearing a new voiceline you have not heard before, although I believe I have heard all the voicelines at this point. I remember looking at the notes in the Staff Silo (before Matpats next theory at the time) and I noticed the note that said YOU ARE AFTON FAMILY, or something like that. I remember I shared it with my friends (I remember them not caring I believe😂). This game is just so amazing with it's details, you often find new details when you replay the game. I remember reading the second big update's patch notes and saw that they said that a screen in the Build A Mangle room that showed a Helpy Error message had been fixed to something else, so when I get there it was just static 😂. I believe there is too much to be said about this game and how much I love it so I will just end it with saying that I highly respect the effort the developers and composers have put in 😄 Oh and thanks for this video, it made me really happy!

Yes, all of this. I know SB didn't exactly fulfill the expectations that the community had for it, but It still seems like a genuinely entertaining experience with amazing visuals despite its plethora of flaws. In fact, it's one of my favorite installments of the series as a whole. I love the vastness of the mall and its aesthetic even if it isn't exactly "scary" in the traditional sense, though it can be argued that the liminal feeling of being in a mall that huge alone is terrifying on its own. Even now, the devs are still working to patch things up bit by bit. I know we all would have loved if Security Breach was completely bug-free upon launch, but then we wouldn't have had the chance to see all the hilarity in its glitches. Glitches are amusing. Though the literal game-breaking ones aren't so fun, they are still getting fixed, and I feel they'll all be in the end. But in any case, SB is definitely not a perfect masterpiece, but enjoying the ride and seeing all it has to offer? That's the true beauty of it.

Fnaf Security Breach holds a very special place in my heart. I discovered it in a time of trauma where all i really had to keep me under control was my TV and laptop, which I used to watched Fnaf SB letsplays. It may not be my favourite game ever, but it means so much to me. It was also what got me more into fnaf, and was the first fnaf game I've ever fully watched through a lets play series of. Dont be ashamed of liking something just because its highly contested. (I also appreciate how liminal Security Breach feels, as it adds to the atmosphere i think.)

I love Security Breach. It brought something new and exciting to the table. It brought free roam, as well as new locations, and charming personality, as well as horror. I wanna add on how much the location added onto the horror. Being something so small in a place so big can cause anxiety and that feeling of the uncanny valley. Everything feels so lively while being dead inside as well. You also have that sense of terror when you acknowledge the atmosphere, which feels very misleading and very ominous. I agree with everything you said in this video, and I also look forward to the DLC.

The thing I was most excited for in security breach was experiencing the ominous ambience of being alone in such a titanic building. They portrayed this incredibly well in some earlier trailers but the final game I found kinda lacked it due to unrealistic architectural design choices and the like. The location itself was what really had me hooked. And it pains me to say that it really doesnt make too much sense as a location. Ive sorta been on-and-off designing my ideal fnaf location. Taking what I had hoped the pizzaplex would be and adding even more on. Who knows? Maybe itl be a fangame someday.

OMG FINALLY someone says something about this!!! THANK YOU PASTRA!!! I ADORE security breach despite it not being a flawless product with Scott LITERALLY feeling so pressured as to make a mini-game to fill in the gap while he was working on it to avoid the wrath of his fanbase. This challenge was even more than a SEASONED creator was prepared for and as an artist who can't use 3D software to save her life unless EVERYTHING is prebuilt and just meant to be adjusted slightly, I can only imagine what hell went into the development of this game from sculpting the models to the HUNDREDS of light sources in MULTIPLE colors, to the various reflections and their intensities of the floors, walls, statues, windows, etc. I can understand why so many fans were disappointed after it was delayed so many times but for me, the attention to detail is what made EVERYTHING worthwhile. While watching the trailers ALONE I could see SO much love dropped in from the games previous as well as the book series and I'm talking ALL the books up to that point, as someone who's been a fan of the series since I was in my tweens and actually saved up ALL my allowance money to get myself the books, or received them as gifts from family, those little details meant a lot, even non-canon characters got some love which again, made my little fnaf loving heart so happy! Also for those who didn't notice, the hand-drawn art style on the sides of the arcade machines some of the posters, and even the comic book cutscenes look really similar to the art style of the graphic novels leading me to believe that some of the same comic artists might have gotten to work on an actual game instead of just the books! Again as someone wanting to work professionally in a cartooning/design field this is very cool to me. There is just so much LOVE oozing from this game from how almost every tiny action like picking up an item or pushing a button is either a reference or a new clue in the ongoing story of the series. I love that they kept the hungry Chica meme going from 'Help Wanted' tasteful fanservice is always a RAPID way for a movie or game to appeal to me lol. The character's personalities are GREAT and I really wish Glamrock Freddy was my dad after finishing this game... all the line deliveries of the characters are TOP NOTCH! And NOBODY can deny how TERRIFYING the moondrop chase segment is... The little clicking noises along with those red eyes and HUGE grin that never leaves his face in the pitch black as he can dance and fly through the air or scuttle about behind or next to you is just NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOO THANK YOU!!! Other than the elements of horror that were mentioned I feel that the bright and colorful exterior of both the characters and environments are EXACTLY the point. This is meant to be the future of Freddy's entertainment style, less scary, more flashy but of course there is something evil and rotten hidden underneath it all. I think that's the whole meaning of the series just being given a new refreshing take on a story of evil and murder that is learning to hide itself better and better as time goes on. Hell by the end of the series I feel that the tones will actually end up meshing how the desire for success and the evils of literal murder can be just as bad as each other, the desires to do horrible things to people in order to get what you want whether being money or just getting back at someone who wronged out or even falling into something dark without even realizing it. Only time will tell... As for the issues with lag or glitches... I can't put a ton of input into this as I'm not as much of a tech person and sadly don't get to play as many games as I used to thanks to work, however, something tells me that a game that is meant to be played in multiple versions and on multiple products, I.E. pc vs laptop vs VR vs PlayStation vs X-box, etc. that even a single disk or download trying to conform itself to a single device or player when its made for multiple can be challenging for a developer or technician. Again, not an expert on this and PERFECTLY accept that any buggy game can be an issue for a player if there are any tech-based gamers please feel free to correct me or add to this! I also may ask a couple friends and family who work in technical fields to see if they can confirm or deny my thoughts and I can update this part of the comment later. I also have to agree with you on this Pastra, the fact that we have an open-world horror game for the fnaf series ESPECIALLY one so HUGE is amazing and probably hard to manage in a technical sense... though I won't deny... IT IS A PAIN TO NAVIGATE AND I KEEP GETTING LOST AND DYING!!! (buuuuuuut that might just be cause I'm bad at using the map or bad at navigating in general cause the same would happen when I played hollow knight...) I'm not as much of an explorer when it comes to gaming and more of a story person than anything. However, a game with diverse options for all players is awesome and I can see how secret seekers and completionists would completely eat this game up! I do think that the toxicity surrounding this game like most fandoms... is overblown and it genuinely makes me sad that people either want to bandwagon onto something negative because it's popular or trending or because they feel an optimistic outlook on something might get snuffed out. I appreciate your positive outlook on the glitches and how entertaining they can be! Your optimism and passion are nothing short of something to not just be admired but for any creator or person in general to strive for! Awesome video! (Sorry for the length as usual and if anyone read this far thank you so SO much!) Merry Christmas Pastra! God Bless!

I really enjoy the sun and moon animatronics, to me they're different from the rest of the animatronics in fnaf, there design isnt animal like, but it isnt entirely human like either And there personalities, though it isnt shown much, are very interesting, eith sun being the happy and playful one while moon is supposed to be the creepy and sleepy one They became my favorite after a while of getting used to hem, i didn't really like the animatronic at first but now im kinda obsessed with drawing them Other than that i really agree with your veiws on the game, i quiet like the game (even though i don't play it)

I stopped looking at fnaf media since i got busy and lost interest around sister location but because of security breach it brought me back into and made me get back my passion for the fnaf franchise. So while most people find it bad i actually enjoyed it quite a bit and it made me catch up and finish the story of the main fnaf entries wich is why im really thankfull for security breach for making me reinterested in the fanf series. This video is gonna make me get Security Breach. I've always been fascinated by the game and wanted to try it out, but two things stopped me: my own cowardice and the backlash it got. Since everyone else was always hating on the game, I was scared to express my feelings of interest, of wanting to try it out and it's so refreshing to see someone highlighting the positives of this game that made me curious in the first place. Also, I have an anxiety disorder and can't play many classic horror games without having a panic attack, but hearing that Security Breach isn't **too** scary was... kind of a relief, personally. I've kept up with the FNAF lore for years but haven't played a single game due to my own anxieties, but I think Security Breach might be the game to help ease me into it. So thank you, Pastra. Your videos have always been entertaining, and I'm glad you can always see the bright side :)

I appreciate you for making this video, I had a rough time last year as my roommate had a very strong dislike on the game and would shame me for enjoying it while I was(and still currently am) very hyper-fixated on it and genuinely enjoyed a lot of the little charming elements and the characters and such. I felt horrible though because my roommate would just tease me and shame me for “liking a broken game” Like, yeah, I know it’s broken, but I still enjoy it and why should that bother you? I wasn’t shaming them for hating on it so much, I let them have their opinions… I even agreed with them on some things- But dammit, let me like my silly goofy broken fnaf game ^^

I haven't even played SB, but I watched someones run that ran smoothly, and rarely encountered a bug, and this was on initial release! (KZfaqr is 8-bitryan, he got super lucky and didn't have many if any issues with the game performance-wise). Everything about the game just SCREAMS to me so much more than any FNAF game in the past, I hadn't even considered playing a FNAF game until this one, I love it THAT much. The opening cutscene and aesthetic is amazing, and FEELS like a large location you'd love to visit as a child. For instance, as a kid, I used to go somewhere simply called a "Science Museum" which was full of dozens to maybe hundreds of random things to mess with to display science, be it gravity, engines, water physics, etc. Seeing the Pizzaplex being everything that I'd want and more by itself would make me love this game over the others. I'm also a big 80's content fan, but was born in the early 2000's, so it was mostly thanks to my upbringing that I had such a taste for 80's style events. The music? Phenomenal, it's rock, but has such an upbeat part to it that just MAKES you excited, and all the different covers for different scenarios is amazing. The normal version is sheer perfection, but the light guitar version makes me imagine the Glamrocks all sitting in a cabin during christmas as it snows, then the music box one actually SELLS the creeping horror you feel as you get further and further in, complete masterpiece. Then the characters, while I find MOST musical groups a bit hard to watch, ESPECIALLY popstarts and the like, the Glamrocks design are absolute peak, and their personalities match. They are just overflowing with positivity that, with the voice acting, actually cheers me up a bit, far better than most motivational speakers that just fall flat as it doesn't feel genuine. Freedy being the big brother of the group and being just endlessly loving, Chica being an excercise coach that also likes to chow down sometimes, amazing, Monty...is Monty (I don't remember much of him to be honest, but he's easily the one I could see the most being an actual jerk), then Roxy, someone who's very mean in game, but with context, you can tell that her personality it just an extreme and lightly warped version of her normal one. Of them all, I think Roxy is meant to have the most complex character, where she's meant to be a competitive but supportive spirit, but the corruption causes her to be self-destructive and self-loathing. My two favorites are Freddy and Roxy, Roxy inching out slightly because of her complex personality, but Freddy staying close because he's just a beacon of positivity, even if he's likely the simplest character of the group. I'll admit, the gameplay kind of shoots itself in the foot at every turn, at least on paper. Just use Freddy? Short battery life so he can only walk 20 feet before shutting down. Use the cameras? A bit too complicated to use, and mildly hard to use due to constantly changing perspectives, also because you have Freddy and hiding spots. Hiding spots? Well, they're fairly frequent, but the problem is that they seemingly give you total immunity to the animatronics, even mid-chase, which ALMOST trivializes them, if it wasn't for the fact you still had to move around to do stuff. Every part of the gameplay is good in concept, but has something wrong with it that holds it back. Maybe if Freddy moved faster and had a longer/indefinite battery, and, due to his code being messy, maybe he couldn't go into some areas? This makes him easier to use, lets you use him longer, and can cause for a bit more dynamic gameplay (I have noticed that most players are just running around as Gregory 99% of the time). For Camera's, I can't really give much input since most people hardly use them, but maybe just add a little ping that you could see via a camera that points out where you are, or maybe have a minimap to look at with cones of view for the camera's, I dunno. To fix hiding spots, just make it so they don't give you complete immunity, so they only work if you lost line of sight first, and ONLY work as a hiding spot, not an escape tool (and make it so you can use camera's while in them, if you can't already). While people complain about the Story...it's a FNAF game, last I checked, 1, 2, 3, 4, and UCN didn't even HAVE an obvious story, and SL, World, and Simulator only had an obvious story at the end. Security Breach mostly tells you the story of the Pizzaplex, via Freddy explaining to Gregory just how everything works, and how it came to be...also, let's be honest, we all cried a little when they spoke about Bonnie. The game isn't perfect, its performance issues are problematic and the different form of storytelling compared to the rest of the series is certainly something that some people could be upset about, but just like you, I ADORE this game, and found every aspect of it amazing (other than the bugs, but that's a given). I can't wait to eventually play the game myself, then the RUIN DLC, which fixes most if not all the issues with the gameplay and story, while reinforcing the positives from everything else.
