Great demo. I ordered an I-30 back when the model was first announced and have loved it since the day it arrived. Mine weighs 5 1/2 lbs.

I just got one of these as well. I love it. I am playing it through a Quilter Pro. Love it so far for funky stuff and Ive been using it for jazz. So much fun to play. I can't think of a guitar I have enjoyed more.

Great review vid playing too.Merry Christmas. Ok I learned 330 were hollow like your Collings and 335 had center blocks. Thanks again

I opted for the new 470JL to pair with my I-35 LC instead of an I-30. Can't wait for it to get in! They said around August!

Wow, I bet that the 470 will be amazing. Julian sure makes it sound great. I hope you enjoy it!

@@duanebroberg I saw you at the Julian show in September in LA! I didn’t say hi or anything. I drove from AZ for the show. It was amazing! And coincidentally my 470JL came that same weekend! It is truly an inspirational guitar!

Hey great video! Enjoy the new guitar. How does it compare to your I35LC now that you have something newer from Collings to compare it to? Of course they sound different but how do they play compared to one another? I have a 2012 I35LC and I love it!!

Thanks for listening! Its different from the I35LC in that its fully hollow and has P90s. I would say that its lighter and airier sounding than the 35. It has a more hollow sound, but has a little less sustain and mid-range than the 35. Cheers!

Do you see much difference for jazz with the I30 or the Eastside? Can the I 30 pretty much cover the same tones? Thanks.

In light of the noise issue with the P-90s, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems it would not an ideal choice for recording?

Hello @Duane, do you consider 10s too slinky on this guitar for playing mostly blues? Or just right? Which gauge were you using on your video? Love your videos, thanks!
@duanebroberg3 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for listening! I use 11s on mine because I play jazz and blues. 11s are the perfect medium because they have a thicker sound for jazz, but are not too hard to bend on for blues as well. 10s would definitely be easier for playing blues and rock.

Is the size between a 335 and a 339?

I've heard that due to the light body on these, there is some neck dive. What's your experience with this?
@duanebroberg2 жыл бұрын
The guitar is quite light, but I don't feel any neck dive at all. Very comfortable!

when can we hear it at gig volume?

Do you make enough money at music to pay for these guitars or is it a day job funded thing?

@@duanebroberg nice! That’s encouraging. As a person who has played for 35 years for strictly personal enjoyment I wonder about the viability as a career choice.

Beautiful guitar and some nice playing to show it off. But you can buy a Casino for $700 CAD which is a ton of fun to play and comes with decent P90 p/u as well.
