It really is a great looking backpack, but you confirmed exactly what I was thinking after watching a few videos.....Lack of different, easily accessible pockets for different things. I would totally get this to go w another little roller bag, but I need a backpack to have more pockets available and with easy access......Also a little more comfort in the straps and air flow in the back padding if carrying around all day or on a random hike while exploring the globe etc (and able to fit 32oz water bottle). This backpack is great, but I wouldn't use it if I were going on hikes. There are bags better suited for that especially when it comes to carrying camera gear.

No space for tripod

You may be able to fit the PeakDesign tripod in the side pocket.
