don't be too nervous, i'm sure you'll have a great time here! and most germans don't have any problems with communicating in english, so i believe you won't have any problems with setting up your bank account and stuff! have a safe flight!

Trust me here in Germany a lot of people can speak fluently english. So the language would not be a Problem. Where are you going to study in Germany ? Would love to meet you ❤

Your semester abroad is going to be great! It will be an experience of a life time. I just came back from mine, and I didn't want it to end. Peace and enjoy discovering life :)

this throws me back to wheni first mvoed to south korea fro Toronto for one year. im still here, have 6 months left. but yeah i don't speak korean to setting up my bank account and getting a phone was difficult but not impossible! I hope you have a smoottthhh rideee when you're there also my boyfriend is moving to London so we're also going to be LDR for a bit too so i feel you girl

The ending really touched me, Leah you two will be reunited soon, hang in there! Moved me to tears as I may also be going away for university while my significant other stays (New Zealand consists of two islands I will be going to South Island for Otago will he stays for Auckland).

Omg so exciting! I've had thoughts about studying abroad ...since I have to make decisions soon...but *sigh* I don't like making decisions sometimes. You're real brave for deciding to be away for so long, I hope you have a really worth while experience :)

You should really do it! Sometimes you just need to throw yourself out there, I talked to some upper years in my program and a lot of them said their biggest regret was not doing an exchange

I'm sure you'll love Germany since there's a lot of beautiful nature and beautiful places, hope you'll get a chance to go skiing during winter and Christmas there is really cozy ✨✨ I live in the Netherlands and Germany is quite similar to Holland. Will you pay a visit to Holland also? 😊 And where are you staying in Germany? Oh my goodness yes! I did an exchange in high school there so I have a lot of close friends in the Netherlands. Just gotta figure out when they have time off! Definitely going to Utrecht and Amsterdam again :)

You are literally living my dream right now. I, too, am doing graphic design and really want to go to Germany for an exchange program. But you have a great time there. I'm sure it's going to be great.

You should totally do a meetup or something of that sort! I live about three hours away from Thüringen (which is really pretty btw). Your German fans would be very happy to help with anything, whether that be translation or just customs and norms :)

I'm 16 and I'm studying abroad and I will be away from home for the next 2 years. It's not easy at all. You will feel homesick but when you feel bad remember why you decided to do this. You are not alone!

i totally feel like this! i'm moving away for college, in two weeks, for a year abroad as well. your emotions are resonating with me and that ending, i know it's going to be like that with my boyfriend and i as well. but aside from that, i hope you have the greatest time abroad! i hope you also come to Vienna (which is where i'll be studying) bc it'd be amazing to meet you!!

You'll get through this experience successfully and gain a lot of memorable moments, enjoy a new culture , grow as a person and become more professional in graphic design. You'll have happy, sad and tough moments, but all of them will be worth it. Stay healthy and be happy. Support from a Spanish girl studying abroad !

I live in Germany and I'm definitely down to hang lol but I saw that you're going to stay in Thuringia which is quite far away :( If you're ever going to be somewhere around cologne/dusseldorf you could do a chill meet n greet or something like that cause I've seen some comments from people who live there too ! + it is kinda nice here too
