Fr Mark... I live in a little market town surrounded by beautiful countryside here in England and since I retired a few months ago I too go walking in the afternoon or indeed early evening in the lanes close to my home. I also pray the Rosary mentally as I walk... those Hail Mary's really help to sustain a good pace Fr.!! 😇 I usually offer up my Rosary for anyone I know of who is ill or in need of prayers and I know the Lord hears me.... Thank you Fr Mark. I will think of you and include both your good self and all holy Catholic Priests at this special time of my day. GOD BLESS YOU.

Fr. Mark, I walk between 2:30-3:30 in honor of the Divine Mercy every day and pray the Holy Rosary. It's the best part of my day as I experience God's love in nature. One day I was experiencing a troubled spirit and I came across a Purple Passion flower growing on our fence. I have never seen one before. When I researched it, it's named for the Passion of Christ. The flower was an amazing reminder to me that Christ suffered first and incredibly for us, and he understands.

I’ve done a Holy Hour a few times over the last couple of months, and I felt the same way you did father!

I needed to hear this because I can't walk very well anymore. I experience God's Presence in Prayer and Listening to Homilies and I experience guidance through all of this. If I can't Pray the Rosary and read Scripture and Listen to Homilies my day is not very good. So, I've learned to always begin with all 3 above mentioned ways to grow and live in God's Holy Presence. Fr Mark, you are so blessed by Jesus with this joy of a type of experiencing Heaven on earth. You fan the flames of love for Him primarily by your gratitude and He blesses you for it. Would that we all would fan the flames of love in our hearts for Jesus and our brothers and sisters daily. It just doesn’t happen, we need to cooperate with the graces we are given each day. It takes work every day and it is obvious Fr Mark that you work hard for these blessings. We are in such need of your example. Thank you!

I remember once asking this basilian priest who had a psychology degree about something going on in my life. His answer was to sit in front of the blessed sacrament as Jesus is the great counsellor. Best advice I ever received. Viva Christo Rey!

The last time I went to a psychologist all I could do was cry. I couldn't talk. So I got up to leave and he asked me if I could tell him why I was crying. I told him out of nowhere "I'll never be good enough for Him.". Who? "Jesus.". The look on his face... He went pale. Father, I didn't reschedule but I did figure out what was wrong with me.

Hello Father! Thank you for such a simple yet profound reminder that God wants to be involved in our lives! That story about the woman who loved to cook reminded me of this quote by Brother Lawrence I came across: “It is not necessary to have great things to do . . . I turn my little omelette in the pan for the love of God.” Just like St. Thérèse’s Little Way, we don’t all have to measure up to the great deeds of the more famed Saints, and that is a comfort indeed!

I am an old man who has many mobility difficulties which now make it difficult for me to hunt on foot. I have always been faithful to attending Mass an have a prayer life which includes the Rosary. While I admire and feel good at most Masses, never have I experienced in a building the religious experience that I have felt in the splendor of God's creation while in the woods. I have gone deer hunting and intentionally never loaded my gun. I have literally leveled a gun at an easy kill deer and just said a verbal bang so as not to destroy the peace.

Today in the mundane task of picking up groceries, it began to rain. How is it I never noticed how beautiful a single drop of rain beautifully beads, shines a radiant light, shimmers on a windshield, praises the name of the Lord for whom it was made by. Now imagine a countless and multitude drops of of rain, how they bead, dance, glorifying God. My mundane trip tickled me as they are moments and evidence how much he truly loves each one of us, at least it is to me. We too can be like those beads of rain for others to notice, radiantly shining the light which made us, glorifying the most Holy name of Christ the King!
