I got more inspired by one small section of this video than any self-help book I've read. Don't procrastinate, and do the things you want to achieve now, so you can talk about them proudly as achievements later.
@TomvanderSandtАй бұрын
Thank you so much, this is such a nice comment. To be honest I do procrastinate sometimes, but every time it happens I know I have to learn something from it and I KNOW I need to get back to my FOCUS.
@tironibusmaximus6100Ай бұрын
@@TomvanderSandt it's true, but don't fear a little procrastination. There is actually a positive form of procrastination (you get other things done) and sometimes it's your body and mind telling you to slow down. However, I've always tended to use the "swallow the frog" principle. Do those things you don't like or are least enjoyable first. By doing those you become more motivated to do other things. The problem is people think motivation is something that starts at 100% and depletes as you do things. Scientifically, its the opposite, the more you do, the more you are motivated to do. Enjoy Oz.
@TomvanderSandtАй бұрын
@@tironibusmaximus6100 I really like that. I feel that sometimes, the more hard things I do in a row the more motivated I get to do more things. The best thing I have found that work best when I do fall back in a old habit of procrastinating, I try to be as kind to my self as possible, that makes it easier to get back up and start again.

I'm glad you want to stay!! Australians generally speaking, are very open and accepting of anyone who wants live and work here. We want people who are happy to fit in with our lifestyle, but also who want to share their culture and experience. We need happy and optimistic people like you! Welcome!! G'day mate.

I love hearing when people appreciate our beautiful country. It’s a great lifestyle and I hope that you can stay. My friend had dyslexia and took up a program called Brain Gym and the dyslexia was corrected after a couple of months. You can look up the book. Good luck ❤

Thank you so much for you comment. I like thinking with logic, and for me trying to life in this way is the most logical way of going about it. But the main goal is making this experience we all have as humans as amazing and smooth as possible. Just as the stoics say, life in according to your own nature 🙏🏻

luv Australia! i lived in cold Hobart for nearly 7 years. I loved it and covid moved me back home to NZ, but will visit again for friends there etc. had the time of my life in Tassie, can't wait to see it again plus explore other places in Oz. xxx

News Flash! Most of New Zealand is colder than Tasmania, look at the latitude, and it's a cleaner, more vibrant and happier place to live! I stayed in windy Wellington which has similar homes and hills to Hobart but has less living history and culture, and lacks the beauty of Hobart's river and harbour! I have relatives living in cold Queenstown! 😏
@TomvanderSandtАй бұрын
I’ll check out NZ in the future as well, but I think all places have their own beauty
@carrier411Ай бұрын
@@jenniferharrison8915 I disagree. we get way better summers here than I did in Hobart for nearly 7 years. The northern part of the north island is considered subtropical, no part of Tassie is like that.

I understand, sometime it’s hard to see what is in front of our eyes because we have become so used to it. When I got there I needed to get out of the big city fast, I wanted to be closer to the beach and the hills for hiking. That make living there really nice and beautiful 🤩☀️

@@TomvanderSandt Touch base with an immigration lawyer. They will sort it out. As long as you have completed your regional work component of your current visa, then you should have no problems.

Rent alone in Australia going to cost you more than you can possibly earn at a regular job. Dont come. If you're Australian, leave if you can, coz its onlly getting worse.

There are a lot of way to life cheaper, like living with some amazing people ( there many of those here), share housing, working for a hostel for free stay. Living from a ven. There are options. I would just ask your self do you want to life like that. On one of the most beautiful places on the planet 🌍
@marieravening927Ай бұрын
It will get better. These things tend to come in cycles and as Tom said, it's a beautiful country to live in. Many countries are suffering from the same problems we have here but don't have the benefits of our climate and diverse scenery.

@stevedehosson275 the average Sydney rent is already more than the median Sydney income after tax! You literally can't have a home unless you work 2 jobs! food is up 50% electricity has doubled, insurance is up 50%, in just one term! Rent and house prices rising 3x faster than inflation! Wages are falling! There are literally ZERO affordable homes for anyone on a pension. Another 3 years like this, the entire working population will be homeless! Negative Nancy?! Come down from your ivory tower! Tens of thousands of working Australians are sleeping in tents!
