Back in 2019 I packed up my life in Australia, said goodbye to my family and friends and made the move to Girona. It wasn't for the coffee, it wasn't for the weather, it wasn't even for the riding...
There's a thousand videos online about why YOU, as a cyclist, should move to Girona. This IS NOT one of them...
This week's video is about why I moved to Girona, what I've since discovered having spent three years here and why I love to call this Catalan town home. The reason just might surprise you!

Very well said Jack. Smaller place so good network for top level sports. And all kinds of riding is good gravel, mtb and don't forget the trail running. To much to do 😁 That's why we started the Guesthouse here.

I was in Girona last summer, and I missed crossing paths with you as you went to Calif. I'm hoping to come back this year for 2 weeks. The mellow lifestyle is very attractive. You are so close to many other places that a quick train or plane can take you for a few days, I cannot imagine the need to uproot and move when you can easily access some other amazing places so easily.

First one of your videos I have watched Jack-subscribed now-2 old guys coming out to Girona on the 15th of next month for 4-5 days riding-you think it’s cold in Girona-it’s bloody freezing in the UK right now, and we live in Cambridgeshire! We are both really looking forward to riding some of the roads we have seen on various videos of Girona. I was there with my mrs about 16 years ago for a couple of days-I wasn’t a cyclist then so that at least has changed.

Denia on the Costa Blanca wins for winter month weather and roads IMO. Girona is a very special place year round though, hard to beat.

Great for running too, though to be fair, I don’t know the first thing about running so can’t say much more than that. I’m a full time professional cyclist mate, but I do longer distance events and challenges 👊🏽

Unfortunately not, I did find THE best home for him though and the most lovely couple to adopt him. Man it was sad though 😢
