I'm interested in buying an ex council house. However I have been warned not to spend too much money on it because "there's a ceiling price" for this sort of property. My intention is to live in the property, but of course it would be nice to see it increase in value in say 10 years.

@@Danceswithfishes Ex council properties ceiling is relatively the same to what is being sold around the area at the time. If you are living in it the standard increase year on year will be just as good as any other property in the local area.

All the property portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla all have these types of properties available! Ask estate agents they will provide you with these properties!
