You're the one that really got me into playing Widow but as you've said, it is incredibly difficult to rank up using only Widow. I find Widow the most fun to play since I like the challenge of everything being reliant on my aim, however she just cannot carry like other DPS heros can sometimes and is countered so easily by so many other heros, which makes her annoying to play in comp. I actually enjoy playing against counters when I play Widow because it makes me better at fighting them and just better in general. If I'm not playing Widow, I am most likely playing Sojourn and sometimes Ashe, which usually gets a lot more done for the team even though at times I have half the kills. Just the pressure from them is enough to get value, but people don't respect Widows in the slightest and will soloult and hard focus them in any gamemode lol.

There is definitely something wrong with the rank system. It is not a pure elo system based on win/loss. My wife and I played open queue on fresh accounts. She played mostly mercy and I played various heroes. We played the same five games, went 5-0. She placed masters 4, and I placed plat 5. It’s definitely giving out additional points based on certain stats, which are easier to obtain on some heroes than others. My guess is that it heavily weighs kill participation and kda, but who really knows.

I don't know if you know but you climb in comp only based on your win/loss games. The thing is, if you are on a 5-0 but you were on a 5-7 previously for example, you will not rank up that much. The game take account on every win/loss you've done during the begining of the season.

Someone told me why I’m not playing Mercy while I was on DPs, It’s simple I like the weekly challenges, You gotta do 52K healing, 100,000 damage and I think 20-60k tank

the only thing I noticed is the same pattern: 3 easy wins then the last 2 are almost impossible or imposible to win untill several tries, and i always got a trower, leaver, bot, the result i cant never climb or if i do soon i go down again.

I have a theory on why you can’t climb with widow. I think the game tracks your skill level with a certain hero/role and then expects that from you consistently. Therefore if you are a gm level widow that hard carries games (individual stats) and you have been in master for a while, it probably expects a longer win streak than 5 games for you to climb. So that 5-1 record is you underperforming and it doesn’t think you deserve to rank back up. Just my theory through a similar experience I had 🤷🏽‍♂️

My computer turns off after being on for 15 seconds and turns back on by itself rinse and repeat, I hope I can find what the issue is soon so I can overwatch again 😢, monitor doesn't detect a signal either in the time that it's on
