I actually mentioned a few things briefly because I have already made other videos discussing various issues in my real-world review of the Segway GT2 as an actual owner. Many people with short attention spans who are making it seem like I did not provide any valuable insights in the video probably weren't listening, as they might make the same mistakes I did. With all the hype videos, promotional content, and fake user reviews, the points I made are extremely important if we want this electric scooter to be affordable for commuters and everyday use.

To be fair, the scooter was originally $3500 and they promised to raise the price to $4k after the initial preorder campaign. Essentially everyone should've thought of this as a $3.5k scooter from the start and expected it to drop back to that after a while. Of course $3k is a chunk off that, but I suspect sales have slowed considerably as the market has been highly saturated. The wolf king keeps getting better, Nami has the Burn e 2 and Klima, you have the Inmotion RS at $3.5k which demolishes the gt2 on pure "specs", etc. Everyone in the market has dropped prices around 10% from last year.

Yup, market is completely saturated. Even still, from what I’ve seen, and as a new GT1 owner, nothing comes close to the quality of the GT line.

Apollo PRO due to drop on Indiegogo July 12'th.... WOW! Don't get me started on their 2024 Explore, both are 5 years ahead in design, build quality and tech. Check them out, they are going places and will be a house hold name for many years to come, leading the field in leaps and bounds

@@davidfromdownunder Apollo PRO it’s not frustratingly slow to 30.0 mph-in fact, it takes you 7.9 seconds, whereas, with the 10.0-inch Phantom V3, it’s just slightly faster at 7.3 seconds. However, in comparison to its counterparts, the GT2, and the Wolf King GT, it might feel a tad slower-with the GT hitting 30.0 mph in 4.1 seconds and the King GT in 3.8 seconds. For 4k usd? .... While I can have a GT2 for 3k usd in my country.... I don't know, it doesn't even have the same kind of tech that the flats of GT2.

Purchased GT2 Megatron edition on Amazon Prime Day $3135. Lowest price I have seen for model since interested in GT2. I did not really need speaker but if included for same price as GT2 standard model, why not. No sales tax in my state. Can get direct from Segway for 2999.99 but Amazon allows 30 day return for any reason. thanks for video and giving me idea of patience. It seems GT models have parts in stock vs other models which is comforting. My only wish is the GT series did not need power adapters like my P100s.

It would be way to powerful just riding on sidewalks. Where I live there's no bike lanes and drunk drivers. So I like riding on the sidewalk to stay safe.

I love my DT2! I'm only sticking with Dualtrons here on out. You guys can try everything else that's out there and let us know if it's good or not.

When i had a ninebot max i looked at the DT2 and 3 used but most of them were old so i worried about the battery condition. I ended up finding a 2021 eagle pro for 900 with carbon revo fenders on it. Some new tires & 5 pairs of trash xtech brakes..... later it has been great for me. Also from what i understand the eagle pro is just a dualtron 2 updated.

@@gtasandman 3 just came out so it wouldn't be too old if you found one used. Dualtrons are just solidly made scooters. You made a good choice with the eagle pro but I would've went new. I don't have good experiences buying used things.

Dude, retailers were selling it for $4k because wholesale was about $2.5k. Now it wholesales for about $1.25k so retailers can now sell it for $2.5k. Don’t blame the retailers if segway drops the price while the retailers already paid the old price for it

Never buy something that is brand new. Wait a year or two then buy it. I've done this with all electronics. I've never bought a phone that was brand new. So many bugs and problems on brand new electronics.

I had a GT1 but sold it WITHOUT opening the packaging. I am glad I didn't keep it because I waited to see what Apollo would come out with. I am so glad I did, I purchased an Apollo City Pro for 2.2 K (AUD $) and LOVE IT. I enjoyed the comfort of the ride so much I am going to upgrade to the 2023 Apollo PRO. That is going to be 5K (AUD) about the same price as a GT2. I know it is going to be worth every cent! I am then going all out in 12 months time and adding an Apollo 2024 Explore. This scooter company is leading the pack across all key areas in build quality, design, tech and customer service. Seriously check Apollo out you won't regret it

Bruh, the Segway GT 2 doesn't even come close to the Hollyburn GS. I wouldn't even compare the two. In my opinion, the Hollyburn GS belongs in the same category as WEPED and Rion.

Dude I bought a ninebot max from Segway too. I feel like it was a Huge bad decisions too, I could’ve bought a better scooter for 1000 plus. I am now looking for a faster one.

I think the height of the Segway GT is actually decent for taller people. Many stores carry them, so I would suggest finding a place with a display model and trying it before ordering one.
