That's actually an interesting perspective. Panasonic DFD has a very organic, almost charming way of moving into focus. (The only trouble is knowing when to stop. It moves a bit too far, then corrects itself, again a bit too much, then goes back, and on, and on 😭🤣🤣)

The X-S10 made me almost instantly regret my X-T4 purchase. It has every feature I wanted but for $600 less

Something grew in Kasey's eye, a new being. This being requires darkness, hence Kasey wears glasses now. The XT4 never liked the being growing in Kasey's eye. He didn't even wanted to focus on him. And Kasey chose the being over the XT4. It's a pretty sad story. But what's even more surprising is that Kasey ignores that his little being is actually a fetus. But this has nothing to do with the autofocus issue of the XT4. Hope this message helped.

I guarantee you he never tweaked any settings. I have no issues with focusing. All it took was learning how the autofocus worked.

I'm pretty sure his AF issues were caused by an unreasonable amount of filters stacked on the lens. He had at least two filters used at the same time (black mist and the light sword one)

I still regret dropping my S5 preorder and getting a new G9 with 2 lenses in its place. Damn reviewers had be believing the AF was worthless, and though it's bad vs. Canon & Sony, it's not horrible. There is a lot to love about the S5 and I may wait until the mk2 comes out or whatever variation Lumix gives us next.

@@Clickumentary the trick is not to vlog with Panasonic Stick it in MF mode and use the AF on button for quick AFS and then manually pull from that point. It's a great system if you want to do more like... urban exploration type videos or documentary videos. Shit if you're relying on it for vlogging AF.

@@Clickumentary I pre ordered it, returned it. Went back to look at what I shot, then promptly went back and ordered a used copy with the 20-60. I hav no lens, but love this camera.

@@CO8848_2 damn that's a pretty solid testimony! Little things also like the built in intervalometer is more robust with the S5. Also the movie specs and codecs and dual native ISO for low light. And the price...kicking myself now.

when i compared about 30 cameras’ videos on YT (M4/3, FF, Sony, Panniboi, Canon, etc) the XT4 displayed the best on my high end 4k TV. Sadly i ordered one w/ 18-55 frm BestBuy & after a month of waiting, my order was cancelled. It was probably sitting off the coast of SanFran :(

Same actually, multi or I just tap and have a specific focusing area. The only time it hasn't worked is with the 16 f2.8 so I returned that lens. For everything else it works great

as somebody with multiple lumix m4/3, an olympus m43 and more I notice all of them bring food at different thing. it just takes so much time to master them. I could be spending all my time on full frame but sometimes it's just easier to take my lumix sv70 out. (of my many cameras the olympus is the sexiest but the sony is the most capable)

Yea pretty incredible how far the X-T3 came, it's one of the best stills cameras out there IMO. The -7 EV spec is more hand waving by Fujifilm marketing as that's with the 50mm 1.0 lens. Still, -6 EV at 1.4 and -5 EV at 2.0 is quite respectable for a 2018 camera.

I highly doubt this is true. The auto focus on the xh1 is faster than the xt2 for stills.

the color science on the r6 is warmer than the r5 and you're right...more orange/green. Fuji images tend to be cooler with a heavy magenta tint. Right now Sony's latest cameras have the best color science along with the high-end canons.

They just released firmware update for XT4, what are you talking about?

I am referring to Kaizen updates, major feature updates to breath life into old cameras. Like when they added 4k video to X-Pro2 in a firmware update, when they added 120p video in X-T2. They now are doing plenty of bug fixes in firmware, like what they have added to the X-T4. They talked a lot in the pat about the Kaizen, but really haven't been doing much of it. The X-T3 got some updates, but not the full Kaizen treatment. That model still doesn't have all the film simulations and the abilities for saving white balance that the X-T4 and X-Pro3 have, which it shares the same processor and sensor with. They SEEM to be withholding some things to encourage upgrading to new models, the opposite of the Kaizen philosophy they talked about. Fuji has opted to roll out new models faster and not pay as much attention to the existing models which still have a lot of potential, like the X-T3. Hey have made a few confusing decisions with models. X-H1 was brought out as a hybrid, and then pretty much right away put all those hybrid features in X-T4 rather than making the X-H2 with these features and keeping the X-T line photography first like it had been. I wish great things for Fuji, they just seem to have lost their way a bit.

They must be lucky that consumer is not CEO otherwise they would sale camera every 10 years.Nobody is forcing customers to buy camera every year, and I think that most new cameras (invluding Fuji) surpass the skills of the photo-videographer and certainly uninformed youtuber who is not able to learn the system.Those big updates from x-pro 1 days are past , you have to realize that Fujifilm also has GFX where they have to split resources. Sony and Canon offer those updates via new body models, sure you can put money on table and have to buy new body, Nikon seems doing Fujifilm path. Luckily we have a choices and only thing what might holds you back is money.Some people are buying stuff they actually do not need or they are probably better off with something else, is this manufacturer issue or consumer won error?

@@newzinski6946 yeah that’s why I don’t know anyone that shoots with Sony. all have tested the waters loved the lenses and tech but the bodies sucked ass. Everyone has gone back to Canon or Switched to Fuji even Nikon Z. Sony is going to start to fail now that everyone is catching up.

@@aliaswave If the body alone is going to deter to from doing photography and videography then that person probably isn't focused on top tier professional work or filming. I've used both the XT-4 and Sony A7 series and both felt fine in my hands. Nobody is flooding towards Nikon Z unless you're only into photography and was a Nikon enthusiast from before. Nikon is losing market share every year and lost about 5% last year despite the Z release. Canon is still trying to catch up and make tweak it's market placement. The R5 and R6 are starting to show good signs but plagued with the overheating issue and just high price point. They're still the market leader for a reason but more people who use them aren't using the new ones and keeping with their older DSLR models which honestly still hold up very well. You haven't given any evidence that shows SONY is "starting to fail" despite increasing it's market share and sales every year. If you're going to be realistic and honest about the camera market then think objectively as to what each company is doing right now and thinking in the future. Currently SONY's main draw is the fact that it offers A TON of cameras at different price points to fit a wide variety of customers similar to Canon. Their top end professional line is honestly superb and is what professionals gravitate towards with video work. Canon is trying to re-work their brand after becoming stagnant and lacking innovation. They still offer a wide variety of cameras, lenses, and price points similar to SONY and are looking to reposition themselves. Nikon is finally waking up to the 21st century and realizing that they may have been in a depression for too long. However the question most people have is "is it too little too late?" They keep losing customers every year and don't offer much to the younger consumer market. First-time buyers aren't looking to buy a Nikon camera and if this doesn't change they may end up like Olympus. Fujifilm is continuing to be a niche market for a niche clientele. They show moments of applause and care but then they go dark for years about next steps. Their small product line limits users and turns off some consumers since they're not continually producing cameras every year or two to their lineup whereas SONY and CANON can afford to constantly change and adapt. They don't have a top-tier professional camera line so they already eliminate people who are working towards that in regards to videography. APS-C is also a very limited scope that doesn't make enough returns for it's investment so far. The future is always in flux and things can change but looking at the past 4 years with market share, sales, technological improvements, brand awareness/recognition, SONY and CANON are the only two that continue to see substantial growth.

Higher end cameras focus on higher end needs. Active mode is good enough and you get an image a GoPro can't touch, especially with the 20mm 1.8.
