I built up and have an old 2015 S-works Enduro with a steeper (than currently trendy) headtube angle and I love it... Get both an efficient pedaling geometry and long enough travel to get out of trouble. Sooner or later we are going to have like 30 degree head tube angles

Lol I totally agree! That’s why I went for a new bike that reverted back to numbers that made a bit more sense.

I wish I could keep changing bikes every year but I tend to fall in love with my rides and can't seem to let anything go hahaha. My channel will have my T8 on it till it falls apart! And my old 2013 talon as well.

Check out the Fezzari Signal Peak Trail. A friend just got one and it’s a rocket ship. So fast and nimble it’s almost scary.

I have a t7, i kinda feel you on the steeper headtube. I put a shorter offset fork on mine and aside from being a much nicer fork the offest difference was noticeable in a good way. 44 for 29ers feels much better for the trails i ride.

Yeah man even though the travel numbers are modest the Siskiu is pretty low slack and long. I’m excited to be on something more nimble.

@@JaredRMorgan yea they can definitely refine the t seties a little more, im probably going to sell it eventually but i sold a Marin Rift Zone Carbon 2 because it was too low and too long recently so the T7 got another season in this house haha.

Yeah I’m happy with the T7 but I would love to try a D7 on my local trails. I feel like that would be a more appropriate platform

Yeah I shortened the rear stroke of my T7 and it felt awesome. More spunky. I think that was the prime version of that bike. I was considering running leaner tires before I sold it to optimize it a bit more.

is the 2023 frame for D7 same frame as T7/T8? It looks like Polygon´s only manufacturing is the frame and verything else was mass purchase thereby lower price for whole bike to end consumers. Can the wheels for the 2023 frame and nobby nic tires be easily converted to tubeless? I don´t see any tubeless ready logos on either the tires or the wheels.

Hello. I have a decision to make, perhaps you could assist: I need to choose one of these 2 options as my next MTB: Option 1: used canyon lux (2016 model carbon fiber, sram xx1, 11x1) condition "ok". Option 2: New Polygon T7. Both options are at the same price. The reason that I'm considering the polygon is that I am worried that the 6 year old xx1 might get too old, and to fix it would cost a fortune. Can anyone please give me some tips what should I do? I ride mostly XC. I will appreciate your input very much!

I would without a doubt get the new T. My concern is the out-dated geo as well as the aged components. I would even consider the D7 if you see yourself riding a ton of XC.

Do you think the d7se will be better then the t7 since I won't be doing nothing really crazy but every blue moon. I'm in NC so trails aren't to crazy until you get in the mountains which I'm not that close to.

Really like the few videos I've watched. Which of these 2 bikes do you think I should get? 2023 Siskiu T7 27.5 or 2020 Vitus Mythique VRX 27.5??? Thanks!

They're a very close race, but I would take the new T7 simply on the premise that you won't be combing through any gremlins accumulated from 3 years of usage. Although the VRX may have a SLIGHTLY nicer component spec, the T7 is a fork swap away from being neck and neck. & with that being said, you can always get that fork upgrade later if you decide you need it. ...But what you cannot do is make an old bike younger. @@johnnylloyd4487 definitely the fork swap as well as an intelligent wheel/tire combo down the line. I got my T7 down to 31 lbs or so at one point. Quite light.

once. Just needed to unbolt the pivots, regrease beneath the little bearing shields, and re-torque.

Ripley was a STRONG contender. The only reason I didn't go that way was value for the dollar. There are equally nice bikes for less money.

I can see needing a different machine for your area. I’m pretty ticked at bikesonline at the moment. I had a rivet pop off my spider on the 8th cog on my Deore M6100 cassette. This is on my 3 week old Polygon Xtrada 7 with 40-50 miles of lite trail and county road riding. I’m 50 years old and take it very easy. The bike has not even fell over, much less been wrecked. Clearly a Shimano issue. Called bikesonline Monday, held for a while and forced me to leave a name & number for a callback. So I did and then went online and created a ticket. Even got my email confirmation that a ticket was created. Here it is Wednesday and I’ve had absolutely no response. That’s pretty poor customer service. I was actually planning on buying a few more bikes from them but now I think I’ll just have to stick to local bike shops for service after the sale.

I had a similar experience. Something happened on my new D7 during the 1st ride and it would not shift right. Contacted Bikes Online, said would call me back but never did. Luckily I was able to fix it myself after spending several hours on KZfaq learning adjusting derailleur and cables.
