HAH. You have no idea how much weight you can lose from switching seats. It can be anywhere from ten to fifty pounds PER SEAT - especially if you go from a fully motorized, heated/cooled, adjustable reclining seat to a fixed carbon fiber bucket with minimal padding and zero amenities.

Looks good man! I have the same problem on my C6 Corvette, I'm a tall 6 foot guy and I don't really fit. If you were to do it again, maybe for both seats, would you have bought anything different?

Tillet make the best seats in the world. I had two of the same (Tillet B5) seats in my 1982 Toyota Starlet and they were amazing.

Is your airbag light on now? I have read that in some cars swapping the seat causes trouble w/ the airbag sensors.

I drive a 2016 camaro ss and fit fine but want to trade it in for a C7 . I'm 6'2 do you think I'll be okay fitting ? Or would I also need a seat closer to the floor?

Dude I went and tried to get into a C7... I’m 6’4, and with the Targa Top off I was dead eye level with the top of the windshield. At least now I know there is a possibility I could own one... one day

Yeah I'm 6'1" and i test drove a c7 manual vette and my left foot hit the dash every time I shifted so I'm not sure how u even got the thing home without the seat installed when u bought it lol

I'm only 6'2", and I couldn't ride shotgun in a c7 vert, but I could sit in the drivers seat. The drivers seat had more movement controls, and could go a lot lower.

Bring it to an auto upholsterer it will be less and you can get better quality. Just tough these days finding someone depending where you live. Buddy got his 2012 Porsche redone in alcantara for 3k-4K after his X knifed his leather and suade. It almost totaled the car as Porsche wanted 15K plus labor. He did it in better materials custom done for less then 5k out the door. I'm guessing redoing your two seats in your car with factory similar stuff would be max $1000-1500 and he better then stock.

Worth every Pennie! 2k is nothing to be comfortable and safe in your car. Also now you can make excuses to others when they wanna drive your car... "Sorry bro custom seat, can't drive my whip" also you can move this seat to many different cars in the future, just need a new bracket. So I'm assuming you'll have this seat for years to come. A long term investment

Tim Headley there's a good chance the new engine he's having built will be twin turbos since he said it will have about 1,400 with the NOS. Whenever I see 1,200 to the wheels these days, I see twins.

@@mattspawn1975 The c6 has way more room than a c7. Corvette is lying about the c7 interior specs. I'm the same height and I fit fine in a c6, but the c7 is cramped. I can't see any stop lights without ducking my head. My head touches the roof with the seat all the way down.

I've met Cleetus and the dude is damn tall. My 6'8" friend got a picture with him and Justin. Apparently the C6's are ultra-tall guy friendly. Would have figured the C7 would be too.
