@@fredriksvard2603 I'd rather join the MFT Cult than post 'That F1.7 lens is really only an F3.4' on every single video. Yeah we get it Tony... but that makes the lenses twice as big and heavy. With equivalent lens sizes, FF is no better than MFT. And MFT does video way better. FF is cool for low light and shallow DOF but MFT does this well enough in most cases.

Full frame is great if you are only able to carry around just one lens...but most people are using it for these narrow shots. In that case, I don't see a huge advantage. A 50mm is a phenomenal looking telephoto setup when it gets cropped in on an apsc. You can always magically turn your apsc into a 'full frame' by just using a 30mm art lens.

i have a lumix g85 and an a7siii. my favorite thing to do solo is shoot cloud footage. i park my camera, put all settings in manual, find a good cloud piece that fits into my square, and hit record and let it go and go. i've gotten some good cloud footage with my g85 but the a7siii makes them look a bit yellow if the exposure isn't totally perfect. what is the absolute best camera to capture those clouds in all their glory? not photo, video... i like to see those clouds shape and shift man
@jonniecandito181
@jonniecandito181 3 жыл бұрын
Shoot with the A7siii in log, and then you can correct for any color shifts in post. Clouds push dynamic range to their limits, so you don't want to rely on the in-camera results. The A7siii has incredible dynamic range if you avoid standard mode.

@CameraConspiracies Scattered throughout your videos are clues that seem to point to the EOS R. Is that the perfect camera if one wants to do both landscape photography and video shooting? (Maybe reusing old EF L-series lenses) Let's say in a 1k budget for the body. My doubt is that in the past I've had an EOS RiP but it was pretty terrible for landscape due to the dynamic range. I called it "skyburner-camera".

You have already helped me decide to get the Canon EOS R (in the mail now). Now, I need your help once more good sir. I need a single lens that can do everything.. Not really, but kinda. I'm thinking of getting the RF 24-240 as my first lens, but I'm worried about the weight (carrying it around Disney and Zoos) and low-light performance. I would also use for portraits, indoor events for kids, and astrophotography (until I can get better lenses for specific use cases). Do you think the weight and lack of low-light performance would be worth it to have an all-in-one super zoom or might there be a better option (like a couple primes: RF 35 1.8 for most uses I listed, then the RF 85 1.4 for indoor events and portraits)? Looking to spend less than $1000 initially. Thank you.

I think if you wanna get into shooting and you have a tight budget, the best choice is Sony A6100 with the stabilized 50. Gives you sharpness, the ability to dip into low light, the body has excellent eye tracking, 50mm on APS-C is portrait length equivalence-mostly, APS-C toneh is still well within acceptable, and you can shoot 4k uncropped video. Slap a cheapo battery grip on it for that more “professional” look and people will be all over you

there is no significant risk of cancer or other ailments from common on-ionizing radio frequency radiation in the quantities that are received from the indented use of consumer radio communications equipment. - the rode videomic pro 2 is probably a good choice, but i'm not a big fan of the look of that giant thing clipped to a shirt - they do have a lav mic jack on them however, so if you want to clip it elsewhere (like on the back bottom of your shirt, or a pocket, or to the top of your pants or something) and don't mind investing in an external lav mic to plug in, it's a pretty decent setup.

I just purchased the Panasonic S5 brand new with the 20mm-60mm kit lens & a an included second battery for £1180 tax/vat included which = $2025 Canadian dollars from Amazon Uk!. I can tell everyone with absolute confidence the video auto focus is brilliant, fantastic. If it’s coming out crap it’s user error not the camera!. I’m going to do a review video soon to prove it!. Don’t believe the fear mongering that the Panasonic S5, S1H, S1 is crap because that’s complete crap!. Better or as good picture/video as the Sony A7s3 for 5X less price!. Unless you absolutely need 120fps in 4K at almost full frame.. and yes the autofocus on Sony is better I own a recent Sony RX100 which is great. Hence I’m not a brand snob, just buy best value for what I actually need.
