I have dark circles and at a young age I knew I couldn’t cover it up because I would become so insecure. I feel like 90% of people cover their dark circles so it use to make me feel so lonely.. I’m 27 and I’ve bought my first foundation lol .. not doing anything with it. I just want to know how to do it just in case!

I honestly have felt more insecure wearing makeup and feel more confident without it. We were all born with beauty - when we wear makeup we all start looking the same 😢

Beautifully said, sister! I'm also a follower of Christ & I've been feeling this conviction to love myself the way God made me in my natural form. I've been hiding behind my makeup for so long, relying on it to cover my insecurities but I am so encouraged to love my bare skin/face because my identity is not found in my looks, but in Christ and Christ alone! I am going through a season of healing, learning to love myself and learning what my purpose is. When i first started, God told me to stop wearing jewelry...it was so weird. I almost thought it was just me...but i realized it was part of a process....then it was my hair, i felt the urge to loc my hair....this is very strange for me. I spend alot of time in my hair i braid it, i weave it, i wear wigs i do it all...so the loc process has been super humbling for me. Then the holy spirit started to give me secrets to healing my skin....ive always had pretty clear skin but when i have issues (eczema, allergic flare ups etc) i would NOT leave my house without makeup....There is something here. I think God is doing a work in his daughters to seperate us from the herd. Let your confidence ve in Christ.❤ Lord give us your grace to do it.

Amen! Also what did God share for you on healing your skin? I’ve been having rash and possibly eczema issues on my hands and fingers and have just been using hydrocortisone and Vaseline lol

you’re so pretty idk how you ever thought you needed any omg! but i agreee! I had to stop and review why i needed filters one day and I realized it’s because my skin wasn’t clear!

This helped me so much! Thank you for making this video- I’ve been wanting to stop wearing mascara for years now but have been too afraid- you’ve given me some confidence to stop! i have done the same things and have REALLY questioned my "need" to wear makeup. i dont need it, im just trying to be more than what i am and fit into the world, be considered attractive. extreme vanity is not a goal for Christians, or anyone else for that matter. makeup may signal things about you that are not true/sexualize your appearance if the makeup is excessive or overly dramatic. i have so much fun with it but wonder if thats wrong.

I don’t think it’s wrong to wear makeup or even want to wear makeup. Esther got “dolled” up to marry the king. There are talks of making and wearing beautiful clothing in the Bible. I think makeup can even be seen as an art form, just like clothing is fashion and does build our confidence when we actually like what we’re wearing and how it compliments our body shape. If you have fun wearing makeup and see it like a fashion statement, I think it’s totally fine to wear! I needed to stop bc my self-esteem and confidence level was sooo tied to it. And I realized God created me, in my natural state without the makeup, and the Bible says I am beautifully and wonderfully made. So because I didn’t think I was beautiful without it and wasn’t confident without it, I saw I was too tied to it, where I felt like I needed it to be confident in myself, and that’s how I knew I needed to give it up. And now I love not wearing it because it saves me so much time and money 😂 I barely even think about it or consider it anymore.

As a masculine man, I want a Godly women who’s naturally attractive without make up. Cause tbh you don’t wanna wake up with someone who looks completely different 😅. If a women can not wear make up it shows she’s confident in herself, which is attractive
