@@MinimalisTech many things need a bit more time to get really appreciated and loved .. for the mini it was two years but finally it caught on .. but in our fast moving world .. two years are like a century .. sadly .. we need to go back to a time like the early 00s where we dont upgraded our phones every year and i even go beyond smartphones and say that we need to dial back our reliance and addiction to the virtual world .. life and timed moved slower back then (at least thats how i remember it xD ) .. but nowadays i cant even switch to a dumb phone ..i need my smartphone to be able to work at my job as it professional 😪

100% there with you on this. I used to upgrade every year. 12 mini was fine but battery life wasnt great. Got the 13 mini. Battery life is much better. Skipped the 14 pro and am even considering skipping the 15 (unless they have another mini, which doesnt sound like will happen). Bear in mind that I'm an office/desk worker so I'm already surrounded by screens of ever increasing size. iPhone, iPad (mini!), MBP, 27in external, and then large TV. I dont feel the need to carry a chonky phone in my pocket for slightly better battery, cameras and screen. A small phone is easier to hold and more pocketable, which means it can do its specific tasks perfectly.

I’ve just picked up the iPhone 13 mini 3 weeks ago coming from Android and I must say I love this phone in every way, it’s compact, powerful, and cameras are Amazing. Apple is losing out by not keeping the mini on it’s roster and sooner they realize it the better..

@@the_justified It still sold millions. Being the least sold iPhone doesn't mean it was a failure. There's always a market for compact designs and the Mini versions proved it. I'm betting if they make it cheaper with better battery it will sell like hotcakes.

I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.

I switched from my 13 Mini to a 14 Pro, I really love the 14 Pro and still find it to be at a very convenient size, HOWEVER, I miss the 13 Mini for all the reasons you just mentioned. I passed it on to my wife, who has a 12 Mini but she hasn’t taken to time to make the swap so I just took the 13 mini back and now I’m using it again just for the nostalgia… I’m gonna miss this little guy

Went from a 13 Pro Max to a 14 Pro, to the 14 Pro Max, to the 13 Mini (don't worry, these were exchanges not outright purchases). The 13 mini blows them away. I thought missing the 120hz was going to be a deal breaker, along with the battery life, BUT I'm also at a desk 5 days of the week and have plenty of chargers around me. It's the perfect size because it works when I need it, but the size helps me forget it

Upgraded from 7, have been using mini 12 from last 2 and a half year. Its a power packed handy device. Does the job - recording, editing, mailers, social media, finances everything. Battery - for usual day its okay, heavy days i use power bank. All in all - love mini 12.

13 mini is misunderstood by most, imo. A real tech enthusiast, appreciates the 13 mini. Name a more powerful or efficient phone, in that form factor. It’s pound for pound king. That’s real tech. Anyone can take a huge slab, huge battery, more room for cameras, etc. that’s not impressive, the 13 mini is. Another reason it’s misunderstood, especially in many comments I’ve read, is that it’s for girls or dudes with small hands. I’m 6’1” with big hands, u look about the same. I never want to use a phone with 2 hands. Funny, I have 2 SE/OG in my desk. That was my favorite. Unrelated; also have a pixel for the speech recognition that’s on another level n getting bored with iOS. Ranting… lol. Great vid. Peace.

It’s like I see myself talking! I buy the new iPhone every year and also use the “excuse” that I don’t spend money on bars and alcohol (even my wife agrees on that) but I also realized that it’s a marketing thing. Bought the 13 mini last week and I already love it more than my 14 pro. The size and weight are incredible.

I’ve own many iPhone 13 mini’s and love them. My solution to the battery short falls is the Apple MagSafe battery pack. Which doubles as a like a phone stand as well. The only negatives are it gets too hot when using the cellular 5G instead of wifi being such a small phone, the Camera quality isn’t all things considered and the fact that it doesn’t have the latest chipset in the phone itself (not really a negative considering how long ago it was first released)

I'm an international student living in Sydney, and I have a cozy studio granny flat. What's interesting is that I use my iPhone 12 Mini as a personal hotspot for all my devices. With an unlimited data plan from Felix sim(Just 35$ LOL), it's been really convenient. I connect my home automation devices, A mini server for local hosting of projects, self hosting of nextcloud(CASA OS) etc , Watching movies from Stremio, Xbox gaming console, and more to my iPhone. It's compact, versatile, and incredibly useful. I recently subscribed to this channel. Looking forward to exploring and learning together!

I love my iPhone 13 Mini. It came with 512 GB memory during a four day promotion savings. Bought an Otterbox for it, and screen protector and an Agoz holster. Good protection for this amazing device. 👍🏼👏🏼😃

Thanks for the video, this topic just crossed my mind the other day. I think I could do with the smaller battery capacity since I always carry a battery bank anyway (but never need to use with my 13 Pro). The thing I'd miss the most from the 13 Pro is the macro capability.

I swapped my Xs Max back to SE 2016 1.5 years ago and I am a happy man. I know a lot of people out there just don't get it why we love this form factor so much, but that means they never used iPhone 5 or SE. My next iPhone will probably be 13 mini. I'll try to get it while it still available.

I went from the 12 Pro Max to the S23 Ultra (which I love) to the 13 mini. Everyone has their own needs and desires, mine is a phone that fits in my pocket - comfortably. I've got a tablet for reading and a MBP for everything else.

I too love the portability of a smaller phone but I used an iPhone 13 Pro Max for an entire year and now I can’t go back. I’m currently using the 14 Pro but I’m considering getting the 15 Pro Max this fall.

I agree 100% with you. I constantly find myself back and forth with Mini vs Pro. Never had the 12 mini, i went from SE 2, to 12 Pro, to 13 Mini, to 13 Pro, BACK TO 13 mini, to SE 3, and AGAIN BACK to 13 mini LOL. I love my 13 mini. I have smaller size hands and for me the 13 Mini is perfect even for gaming honestly. But the 15 line up is very tempting. Good video brotha

I switched from a 12 mini to the 14 pro for the extra lens and thus zoom capabilities. If they made a mini with the extra lens i would get that it instandly. Love the size and portability

I rock the 12 Mini for about 2 years now and I agree with the battery life being enough when you work from Home because we can just easily charge it before we go out. I actually bought the 12 Mini twice lol. It sucks that Apple decided to kill off the Mini. I Hope they bring it back in the future or something similar compact without cuts in performance and software.

No, you are absolutely correct. The size is just perfect. The latest isn't always the greatest. I appreciate technology that doesn't disrupt my routine. While I still enjoy trying out new and shiny things occasionally because Reasons, the iPhone 13 Mini will live in my Skinny jeans pocket Rent free until a similar Size option is released. I use both apple and android. The iphone 13 mini is my 'travel' phone because it small and super quick to.whip out to check maps, pay, transit, etc. I keep my fold android inside my bodybag most of the time when travelling hehe

The 13 Mini is my first iPhone. I’ve had it almost 2yrs now. I came from a long love affair with Samsung, and the occasional Pixel/Nexus 6P thrown into the mix. When Apple stops offering updates for the 13 Mini a few years down the road, I don’t know what I’ll do. I can’t handle all the giant phones anymore! I really don’t want to have to go to the SE (not my jam). Apple really needs to bring back the Mini lineup! It’s so unfair to just stick us all with bigger and bigger phones and no options for those of us who like or need small phones! P.S I just found your channel and really like your content!

I respect your hobby, man. I am a student and haven't had the fortune of owning an iphone since they're very expensive in my country because of import duties. I am a big tech nerd and I would really love to own a collection phones or any other tech, given the chance. Once I am financially stable, I am absolutely gonna start collecting tech products, specifically the latest iphones and Samsung flagships. Also, I have the same pc wallpaper as your iphone wall paper here. It looks nice on bogger screens too.

I own 2 phones. One being Android which is the Google 7 Pro and an IOS phone which is the 12 mini. I absolutely love that phone. The size, screen and decent camera are just fantastic.

I had the 12 Mini and the battery was terrible. So I went with the 14 Pro and from the battery, the cameras and speedy 120 hz. I enjoyed it, but I did miss the size of the Mini. Also, unrelated, as a blink fan I’m admiring the Tom a Delonge guitar in the background! All the best 🙌

I have the 13mini. Battery life after a year is still a bit better than the 12mini new. However, 13mini’s battery still leave you wanting more juice as I usual have to top it up pretty frequently

@@MatthewVlossak I looked at my average screen time and I guess I use my phone significantly more than I realized. I average about 6 hours through out the day as I work at home remotely. Definitely a power user as I have to juggle a bunch of apps and for work. My current battery health is at 89% after a year. I would stay after about 5 hours of hard use I throw it on the charger in the evening and then look at it a few more times before bed.

@@MatthewVlossak - I also I forgot to mention that I use FaceTime for several hours everyday and that kills my battery the fastest. I don’t think I’ll upgrade because I have an iPad Pro and MBP14. It’s quite enough already lol. For me the real debate is the camera. And I decided collecting 00’s premium point and shoots would take care of the camera.

I am hoping for a 15 mini this fall .... i have original SE, which was a surprise big seller success for Apple, as I understand it. Many people like the pocket size iphone. My battery is now down to about 80. So, I can hope for a surprise this fall - 15 mini !

I loved mini iphones, i now have 12pm but when am at the shop i love playing with mini iphones, they're so comfortable to hold. But i love my 12pm. (Edit) I use Anker maggo powerbank and it's really cool, especially the fact that it has a stand at the back.

Phone & tablet size has disproportionately risen lately when they were always originally intended to be small, the iPhone mini 13 & the iPad mini 6 are the perfect combination of fully functioning lightweight powerful products in a compact portable format, expensive yes but totally unique & niche. My only problems with the iphone 13 mini is that camera zoom is not as good as I was expecting but I can live with it, I was also disappointed that on the starlight version the back of the phone is white only the band around the phone is actually starlight, also if you can stretch to it financially do what I did & buy 2, yes I have a brand new 13 mini still in its box waiting to take over when my first one dies.

I have a spare one too !! And when Battery Health goes down to 82% or so, bring it in to Apple Store and get a replacement battery. (I"d not recomend local store/3rd party. Your Mini will feel as reborn !

The 13 mini is tempting but with the 15 just around the corner, I don't think it makes sense for me to buy a two year old device (I have a 12 pro now). If they decided to do a 15 mini I would definitely consider but I don't think that is going to happen. Thanks!

I still use a Sony XZ1. It has a 4.7 inch screeen, which is the same size as the iPhone SE, but its battery life is very good - so good that I have just changed the battery to a new one after 5+ years and it is back to giving me two days on low usage. I don't like Android as much as iOS, but that is not a deal breaker. Its camera and hi-fi are superb. Of course, they don't make it anymore - nobody does. I'll probably keep it for a few more years.

The Iphone 13 Mini aligns more with what Steve Jobs cared about, usability and comfort. The bigger heavier phones are just a pain for your thumbs. The battery paks can easily tag along if you need extra juice, and tbh I wouldn't mind if it was a bit thicker for that extra camera quality with a bigger battery. I think the biggest let down is not that Apple stopped making the mini, it's that a lot of people asked for a smaller phone but then when Apple listened nobody bought them..

Just got the 13 mini today coming from a 13ProMax. I am so stoked with my purchase. More exciting than the 13ProMax. Everything stated in this video is true. Main concern is battery life but so far with no charge from the Apple Store I’m at 40% from 75% 3.5 hours later with full use. Love the ergonomics and size. I can actually type better on this keyboard sense my first smart phone was the iPhone 4 and 5. The 13ProMax just pissed me off constantly, worst iPhone yet (and I’m like you, get the new one every year) but because the 13ProMax was so bad, I never ran out to get the 14pro. I hope apple goes back to being simple again. This is what made them so successful with phones in the past.

I pre-ordered my 13 mini when the Green was announced and I left a 12 mini for it. I recently got a 15 Pro for insanely cheap through my carrier and I’ve been using it for a week. I constantly reach back for my mini and I think I’m just going to part with the Pro and resume with the mini until it is no longer supported. Apple made a mistake leaving the mini, and the lacklustre sales of the Plus variants shows that as well.

Yeah I agree. I’m actually in the midst of making a video. I’ve been back on my mini for a month now after reviewing the 15 pro long term. It’s objectively better in every way but the 13 mini size and performance is just worth more to me. Cheers!

Had the 13 pro max, switched to the SE 3rd gen 2022 (which is mostly great), and just bought the 11 pro used. Tried the 13 mini for a little bit but found the text to small when set at the default size (and raising the size caused other issues). Funny thing is that I had the 11 before the 13 pro max and gave it to my GF. I feel hosed moving forward if Apple doesn’t bring back rounded edges. Don’t like the boxy (and definitely heavy) current Apple designs lately. The rounded edges and medium screen size are why I’m moving back to the 11 (pro).

I had the 12 mini and miss it. I’ve been debating going back to a 13 mini from a 14 pro, but in my 40s now, my near vision has more troubles focusing. 😭

@@silasaqui8833 yeah, reading glasses. I use them in the evening, but I’m not going to throw them on every time I want to look at my phone. They make everything beyond a few feet blurry. If you haven’t already, someday you’ll learn how they work. 😂

I know many people who hate the word "moist" I don't have that issue, moist cake, moist surface, moist skin is a useful descriptive word. People generally having issues with the word moist put it in a negative context usually sexual. I love the iPhone mini, had considered upgrading to the 13mini, but honestly I'm just going to throw a new battery in my iPhone XSMax and wait and see if I got trapped in Apple marketing. My phone is great, and its still getting updates as well has 512GB storage and I can't get a great price anywhere else for what I have and the features it gives. Sure newer models have better cameras, but from the phone I came from its an upgrade. My pictures are great, and get positive comments constantly so until something else grabs me, I'm happy with the tech I'm using and fully paid for. Good reflective video!!!

Everyone who got a 13 mini seems to love it (myself included) Personally I see no use in a phone I can’t use one handed. Full stop. Also, that green colour was a must have for me. And I like the word moist.

I have a regular 12. I’m thinking of going to a 13 mini and with my job my phones in my pocket all day and I work in a place where my phone could easily get damaged so I have an otterbox and screen protector on it. It’s my first iPhone and honestly it feels kinda huge in my pocket. I kinda want the mini for a better pocket feel and just more comfort for one handed use but I play a lot of Pokémon go, but I usually have Farley easy access to a charger at all times. Would the battery life be a huge problem if I switched? It’s the only thing I’m iffy on right now

I’m the opposite on the new phone every year thing. I still have a 7 with 256 gigs and it works great, save for me needing a new battery again. Those generic ones don’t last long. I spend my money on other hobbies for my thrills. I do like the 13 mini and will get one soon for the camera. I like the small phones too. It’s just ridiculous the prices for a used one. I’m waiting for a good deal to come by.

I was looking to get a 13 Mini when my XS loses the latest iOS next year but, with the new Pros being titanium, that idea may now be redundant. My kids got the half year green 13 Pro, and I've never liked the weight of their phones. I'll wait and see if Apple gives us a mid year Pro colour, and also if we get a new iPad Mini, and then make a decision. Thanks for the content.
