Something I'd like to mention is that yes this is technically a hate video since i decided to but "i absolutely hate" in the title but what i meant to post here was a video showing and explaining flaws of the character. i tried to show clips of both me and my friend doing what i was talking about to prove its not me having a skill issue but the character itself just not really being that good. and yes i do agree its a skilled character which is why im basing these facts at a more pro player level. anytime you can escape some combo most of the time only pro players would know this. i might post another video about this character after i test all these stats again and maybe even do this on all character but at the end of the day its all just my opinion so please dont get mad over it is all i ask.

People: complain about atomic Meanwhile garou having no movement/ranged moves + weakest and longest ult:

1st move: you can do a 180 spin arround the enemy and it's true for m1's 2nd move: the windup is not so slow or not so fast, so it's hard to cancell, + it true combo's after pinpoint cut if you side dash (both variants) sunset: you can master side dash to always hit, + it can start a oneshot combo to the question of the ult animation: garou has a shorter windup for the ult, but atomic samurai does more damage. in short: yeah it's a skill issue

Fire + relatable

For the quick slice trick, if you don't wanna slide out of it or get countered when using it then just do this trick, it's impossible to escape or counter it: M1 3 times and side dash then quickly use quick slice but look to the right side or depends on where you side dash and you'll most certainly hit them and they cannot react in time since that trick is rarely used and you cannot counter nor escape from it. And from there you can combo extend with 2nd and 3rd move because after you do the trick you'll be up close to them where it's impossible for them to block as well. to be honest, this character is op for me the only thing i dont like about atomic samurai is the m1s and as you said the atomic slash

Someone escaping your combo because of ragdoll cancel and then saying it sucks is CRAZY pretty sure every combo in this game is escapable with ragdoll cancel

Even though it can seem horrible if its your first or second time playing with atomic, there are actually many ways to nullify some (is not most) of the issues in the video. Let me go through the list (I will address ragdoll cancel at the end after ult). The regular move set: 1: as you said, you need to be close enough to m1. You flick your mouse to make your back face them and then use quick slice. This will make you be close enough to m1 at the end of it, making it a combo extender. 2: I personally think that the down slam issue can either be lag or skill issue based on my experience, but people will hope on this if they have a counter or ragdoll cancel, which makes it a very good counter-bait and a very bad Rag.Cancel bait unless you land it again and again, which makes the mindset swap (bad counter-bait, good ragdoll cancel remover) 3: this was made to combo extend, and made to be good if you hit the first part (the mini-stomp) or as a counter-bait, so hitbox makes sense. However what I agree with here is that making the second part block able makes this move way worse than it needs to be. 4: I'd say that its pullout speed makes it a busted counter, so I would recommend either to nerf the length of this counter to make is pinpoint or make it deal less stun. This one's just busted THE ULTIMATE 1: Yeah, this move sucks. It's basically a worst Sunrise, but if you hit an m1 somehow USE IT AFTER ATOMIC SLASH if they ragdoll canceled and BEFORE using that is they didn't. 2: Yes, hitbox was nerfed, but still a pretty good move. 3: No words. Its perfect the way it is. 4: Yes, it's tideous, but if you land it the payoff is GREAT. Go for it over sunset if they used ragdoll before. Ragdoll cancel: This can be a showstopper to a atomic samurai. My biggest tip from my experience is to use Atomic Cleave and pretend to go for a down slam by spamming 3 m1's in the air and then jumping and NOT using pinpoint with the goal of hitting part 1 of it (ministomp) as they will spam it here if they are good. If in ult, and they still have it, it's very hard to get someone to use it without a move. Your best friends here are sunset with 3 m1's and solar cleave, do NOT use Atomic slash under any circumstances if they have ragdoll cancel.

About the combo extend with 1 you can use ground pinpoint cut side dash into quick slick you will most likely be behind them allowing you to m1

actually, if you use pinpoint cut then side dash and quick slice, it'll put the enemy right infront of u and u can continue with the m1

You can actually combo extend with it after you waste ragdoll cancel. Try hitting them with Atmos Cleave (3rd move) first, back up then use Pinpoint Cut (2nd) and then as they travel through the air, side dash to where theyll land and use quick slice as a follow up. The more you practice with this combo the better you'll get at doing follow-up m1s after the Quick Slice. Atomic Samurai is overpowered, however its arguably the most skill based when it comes to ult and starting comboes.

you can just use quick slice when your a bit away from opponent then combo extend

this 100% is a skill issue on your part

Some of the moves don't have cooldown but if you use it again the cooldown comes in Pretty rare tbh

Also in another, I would clarify that Atomic Samurai's ult isn't the worst since some people are good with it and some people aren't, if you get punished or countered then just don't make the mistake. Miss once not twice man, and second of all you don't really have to do a full 1 shot combo like the wall combo you did. Do a small little cheeky damage out of them or somewhat half hp is good enough. No one forced you to kill them in one combo.

Just to let you know that at the 3:51 part, Atomic Samurai's ult starter is the longest starter in the whole game by 1-2 seconds more than Garou so escaping it easily isn't something special to talk about, to be honest.

For ult, I would say 1st and 2nd are extremely easy to hit if you know how to side dash or front dash to where your enemy is going, if you can do that then you'll certainly gonna hit it every time or at least hit them with the explosion of 1, for 2nd you just aim straight at them. Who even told you to side-dash and use it blindly at someone? Aim it like right at the center of them, Solar Cleave is the fastest move in the whole game so if you actually miss it then its skill issue or just out of range (range is like 50% of Geno's Speedblitz when missed by the way)

Atomic samurai is one of those characters... That you don't want to use in ranked because of how easily you can get punished for trying to do any of your combo's like let's say, 3x m1's, look behind as fast as you can and do quick slice. Most of the times it works for me however sometimes, not so fortunate let's just say that. The pinpoint cut hitbox is fine since it's a un-blockable move and it's quite fast, like I can't even dodge the move even when I KNOW that they are gonna use it after quick slice cuz of my ping, it just teleports me back into the attack after literally side-dashing. Also yeah the move is literally SO easily punishable by simply ragdoll-cancelling and just m1 them during their pinpoint animation. Atmos cleave and pinpoint shouldn't be ragdoll cancellable until after atomic finishes attacking. The ultimate... It's alright. The solar cleave is the thing carrying it tbh it's such a easy move to land the bad part is the other moves. and like honestly compared to all the other ultimates like metal bat and sonic... Atomic has the worst ultimate I have ever seen even a base garou, metal bat, Saitama. You name it! can beat it easily at times. Good video!

Quick Slice It was made for this, to be an attack without much extension and for players to turn around to continue fighting. If your opponent has a counter (like garou or atomic itself), just use the bait art (his chances of trying to use the counter are 99.9%). 2. Atmos Cleave It is a move that you must be careful with, as one false step could cost you your life. This move is one of the most difficult to land, as Atomic specializes in speed and not damage (Sonic specializes in surprise attacks). Be more positive, just because your opponent used r.c doesn't mean the end of the world, besides, it's clear that he lost r.c, so you can fight even more. And if you get it right, while you're in the air, go forward and use Quick Slice lol. 3. Pinpoint Cut It is used precisely to start or extend a combo, unlike Quick Slice. And it has to be very unlucky for the opponent to attack you 0.1 second after spending the r.c (as shown in the video). 3/1. Pinpoint Cut Variant Not much to say, he really sucks. The most he does is close the distance lol. SORCHING BLADE Of course the ult is easy to dodge, just like all the others bruuuhh 1. i dont know if the devs were rushed, but the last 2 ultimate moves definitely worsened my impressions of the character, like dont get me wrong they're cool, but they're just so hard to land and impractical

you can land atomic slash extremely easy, bait ragdoll cancel, and then side dash/forward dash to the guy u wanna land atomic slash on. 4m1s (uppercut variant, i recommend that you do not use downslam as it gives a shorter stuntime) and immediately use atomic slash. confirmed activation of the move will fling the opponent up when you charge your sword to the max and then boom you successfully land it. the way of pulling it off is the same as landing 100% serious punch and targetted omnidirectional punch. it deals around 70-80% damage when pulled off correctly. you can waste their ragdoll cancel with solar cleave (they usually dash out of it 90% of the time) and then chase them to hit atomic slash. it does require some degree of skill to pull off and you should always be ready for runners. tip* if they escape it at the very last second, position your camera horizontal to where your opponent is running off to. they should be hit by the atomic slash's shockwave cut which deals 40-50% damage. you can then approach them with sunrise, sunset or solar cleave to finish them off. his ult is more skill-based than that of sonic, genos and metal bat. his damage output however is far greater than all of these characters.

I hate atomic samurai cause of split second counter. Like this move alone carries the entire base moveset,after this move is landed you are dead and THE ULTIMATE DOES SO MUCH DAMAGE! Solar slash has so much range its annoying and. If they land sunset while you have no ragdoll cancel they could land atomic slash and that is a one shot combo unlike otber characters which require 3 moves. Another reason whenever i avoid pinpoint cut i always get hit in the first part im pretty sure this is an internet issue but in still blaming the hit boxes. And let me go back to complaining about solit second counter,LIKE I SWEAR EVERYONE IS USING SPLIT SECOND COUNTER WAY TOO MUCH IT'S SO ANNOYING! I remember hating sonic(i hate the ultimate only now) and now i have this endless amount of hatred for this moveset,as much as i like him from the anine/manga.
