I mean seeing the children grow up and live in peach creek is pretty interesting. they just made this purgatory theory to make sure the show stays on life support. but they don't realize that the show doesn't need it due to the fact that if the kids growing up and do dumb things that adults normally do would make sense. for example, the ed boys dating the kankers as they got older and the kankers looking much more better then what they looked back then, Kevin dating nazz, jimmy dating Sarah, Johnny becomes a doctor and he uses plank to help people cope with their problems and Rolf growing a beard and getting paid from the market more for doing a good job. I mean it would be a good show to see the eds grow up and go to collage.
