I have one problem with wearing black - my wardrobe is like a black hole, I can't see the individual pieces, I often forget what I have. On the other hand - every now and then I get nice surprises when I find an item I had completely forgot that I own :D

Black clothes are the way to go! I’m not a fan of colorful clothes. I’ve tried wearing other stuff with more color but it’s just too colorful for me. Also I completely agree it’s a lot easier to hide stains. In my business I walkways ruin any clothes that are not black right away.

I’m almost transitioned to all black and if you choose the right styles and fabrics, you can rock black in 40C heat. I’m also a redhead with ghostly pale skin that doesn’t tan and honestly haven’t noticed any odd looks.

I've been wearing mostly black for the last 20 years. Maybe it's ADHD or color and light sensitivity but I can concentrate more easily when I'm wearing less distracting clothing. This also includes texture and scratchy tags. I hate the comments from others however. I'm tired of people asking me if someone has died.

I love feeling put together, so when it comes to black I love to grab different textures, whether its a regular v-neck, or a lace up shirt, turtle neck etc. I've been starting to wear mainly black tops with more colorful center pieces like a jacket or i'll have a pair of pants that are pattern/designs

I think the people who ask that, associate the color black with; goth, death, depression, bad things in general. ‘And us black wearing people’ associate black with: chique, edgy, cool, avant-garde, stylish. I think that the main difference. And for summer, I just go for black 100% linen, nice and airy. 😎

I can totally relate with this. Black is the most effortless and universally flattering. I don't need to think much when I wear black because I know that it'll suit me. There's no such thing as a cool tones or warm toned black. It is a no brainer. Shopping was way easier when I focused on this color. I still have clothes in other colors mainly navy, grey and white but black always have a special place in my heart.

I used to wear a lot of black starting in high school years. Sometimes purposely, sometimes because black just seems to match with everything and I have to match. But in my late 20’s or early 30’s I finally started to let family and friends opinions get to me, making me think I needed to wear more colors. (I always got compared to Wednesday addams) So I tried to be more colorful. I had been contemplating this subject lately and I know that I was way more comfortable then. I’m going back to my dark ways so I can enjoy my outfits again ! 🖤

I only wear 🖤DARK colors. Mainly black, dark brown, dark blue and medium to dark gray with flattering pops of color of course … shoes, bags & jewelry.

I get more attention and stand out way more for wearing black than wearing any other color . And I don’t wear it in a gothic way either , I’m a very blazer chic person. It’s easy , looks put together , saves money and time ! The rest of my life is colorful except my wardrobe 😂

Hi Lydia ! Interestingly I had a phase where for a whole year I wore nothing but black ! I was around the same age as you and same as you I had everyone ( including family ) asking me if I was depressed ... or the odd person jokingly asking me - "who died" , ( school was tough for me lol ). And , funny enough a couple of years before that I also happened to own both a bright yellow shirt and an Orange one as well. Truth is I was indeed quite depressed within myself and with life. I did not feel I fit in anywhere and I was learning to be lonely. Is this an INFJ general quality ?? Eventually me wearing black called so much attention that I gave in and stopped. But to this day I still own black clothes and black suits for work which I love. I think wearing uniforms is also an INFJ thing ( although my uniforms tend to be suits because of the nature of my work ). Great video - took me back a few years ! thx Alex.

Right on, young vampire! I'm 72, wear only black, and--contrary to the belief of my sometimes concerned friends and family--I'm a very happy person! Not gloomy, not goth. Love jewelry, makeup, fashion, other accessories. Love life in general! In fact, the only time I feel unsettled and not at all like myself is when I'm *not* wearing black. For all the wise reasons you mention and more. I feel relaxed and settled, always comfortable, and when I look in the mirror, I look like ME. It is only at times in my life when I've forced myself to wear more color (because I felt like maybe I "should") that the mirror says, "Who on earth is THAT?" Side note: I do live in a place with quite hot summers, and I really have no problem finding summer clothes in black. I never sit in the sun, anyway, so that's no problem either. ... I wanted to streamline whatever aspects of my life that I could and it was an easy decision. My transition to all black is a step by step process. One colleague once said in the class room that she loved wearing black and she had several black clothes which were all different. It sounded really interesting, the idea of something being surprisingly different even though people outside may perceive it as the same thing. And then several times when I wore all black, my friend complimented me, she said it looked nice. And then I realized that all black takes away part of the burden of styling, it makes me feel slimmer and safe. Also, sometimes when you wear white, your chest may appear see through, it's disturbing and traumatizing lol. I really love how black clothing alters the silhouette and conceals what needs to be concealed lol Well. I still wear colours because I cannot just throw away my old clothes, but I almost always wear black.

I agree. I worked at uniqlo where we had an all black dress code. And so I bought a bunch of black clothes and aw man. Black clothes last longer, and like you mentioned everything matches but I went back to wearing a lot colores especially white because my skin is very dark and the contrast with lighter colors is something I can't pass on.

I prefer to wear black because, as you stated, it is more practical. I try to add color into my outfits in different ways but, especially using accessories, purses, shoes and jackets. No one has caught on to me except my boyfriend who thought I was wearing the same clothes when we first started dating until he realized it was different clothes in the same color😂.

I wear black a lot of the time and I have 4 cats! I just use a tape lint roller on the clothes that need it, clothing with a slicker texture doesn't seem to grab the fur. I really like your long, black hair parted in the middle, always a classic in my opinion.

I wear black every day, I've been wearing black every day for almost a decade I feel uncomfortable in colored clothes. there are some colors that I would wear they're just hard to find in shades I like. I love silver and periwinkle I love black with pastel metallic colors or black with striking neon pink purple or green I'm not a fan of yellow though.

For me I have a variety of color clothes because I like fashion so much it's like art and a puzzle for me to get creative... All those colorful clothes that I have doesn't mean that I am an outgoing person very angelic and bubbly and sassy... I'm actually a quiet and observe person I keep my conversation limited as possible not because antisocial but I just never thought of having conversation randomly.

I decided that for 2024 I'm going to try only wearing black, white and beige. My favorite color of all time is pink, and my room interior and decor is filled with pastel colors but I'm so tired of spending so much time deciding what to wear. So I have stocked away all my colored-clothes in the attic and is now only wearing black mostly and it's so liberating. Going clothes shopping knowing what you shall buy is only black is also not only much easier, takes less time, but it's actually a lot cheaper since there are always some good black clothes on sale everywhere.

For me was in the contrary, when I was young I always wore black, now I am an adult I like to wear white, do not get me wrong, I still wear black, is easy, combines with everything, makes you look thin and absorb heat in the cold weather, but here in Brazil is hot a lot of time, and white reflects it making the person cooler, also, I have a darker complexion and white give a good contrast on it, just like black have a good contrast on lighter skins, and white give né confidence, make me feet bold and seem, I do not know, I like wearing white
