Here is why I won't be buying elf cosmetics anymore and also a run down of what happened with Fasffy when elf's lack of diversity was brought up. I understand that me not buying elf anymore is a privilege as it's an accessible brand, this is not me telling you what to do if you have no options. ♥
I know this video is all over the place. I tried to be thorough and if you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask and I will do what I can to answer!

Oh god I hadn't seen the intro video and the voiceover is PAINFUL. The man sounds like he's narrating a bad dating show.

I just found out about this, thank you for making this video. I used to use elf all the time but I will now be looking for other brands. And side note absolutely love your makeup and hair!

to me it actually seems like they chose the people they worked with before they started to "look" for people with that twitter post the people who got tagged and the people who got "chosen" are so different, so that seems kinda fabricated for me

Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s exactly what happened. They never planned on using people from the post, they just wanted to farm engagement.

It's a damn shame too, Elf made the best foundation that actually worked for me. Time to invest in better companies that cater to skin types that aren't just my own.

Some of this clips are so painful to watch. "People from various diversities", "Female Count: x" we still have a long ways to go.

That ELFing trailer is terrible. “Females”???? Ugh. Why didn’t ELF just say that in the original tweet? Why why why only White creators? Especially since they seemed to pick bigger names in beauty rather than true crossover talents.

No shade to the girls they picked but everyone they chose was super basic in their makeup styles too. Multiple body painters, sfx, body art, and alternative makeup wearers were skipped over for both the event and the pr. 🤷‍♀️
