I don’t want to lie. If I had the option, I wouldn’t be in school. Yes I want to do what I’m studying but the whole system is stressful and if you don’t need to, you shouldn’t have to feel like you have to

Yhu I'm a recent graduate, dont let them fool you a degree doesn't guarantee you a job or success/money, i have an international double major degree and guess what😂 I'm not even doing what i studied for four years💀 kunzima out here, theres no jobs, so please don't drop your Bagggzzzz💰💰💰 for ieducation to be more successful, your brand is strong, congratulations on how far you've come!!!

I want you to know right now that you've made me feel so much better about my dropping out. A lot of times the guilt lies within the other people. I am currently in corporate learning the varsity things. I have the privilege to be taught things that people pay money to be taught. I'm not saying this to take degrees away from anyone I'm saying this to demonstrate that the route, although less travelled, indeed has a destination.

Honestly I feel school does not prepare you for the "real" world as they say. I think you are learning so much more in the school of life than some students who are in tertiary. You are doing great, keep thriving Sibu :)

School is not the only platform of getting an education. We are all different and we learn differently. Look at what you have created. Your channel and your movement educates and empowers a lot of young black people.

Currently doing my second year and as much as I love learning I actually hate the environment that is school. I feel as though since I've been going to school my mental health is slowly declining. School is triggering my depression but I've got to get that degree because that would make my family happy.

I don't know you personally but I feel like at this stage in your life and career, traditional "school" would be a waste of your time. Yes learning and gaining schools like you said is something that we ALL have to do and that doesn't only happen in the traditional model of school. Often we learn on the job. All the best for the future, keep pursuing purpose.

Taking a break from completing a Research Methodology assignment and this video was recommended on KZfaq..always asking myself why I got myself into this. I do not enjoy studying too. Skills can definitely be taught in a more practical manner.

Here's the thing Sibu, experience is the best teacher and you are doing well for yourself honestly... I really get how you feel, varsity deadass depresses me too... I never wanted to do anything academically related but I can give my best to all the other things Im passionate about, so I completely relate!

I genuinely don't enjoy school either, I'm great at writing and I don't need to be at school for that but I am. I'm in my final year and I don't know how many times I've cried since this second semester started a week ago because I'm genuinely tired. Whenever I talk about how tired I am, I always get a "sele uzogqiba" from my mom and that is definitely NOT what I want to hear... Andisithandi man iskolo tu. I go ke but no man yhu.

I always tell people to go to school ONLY when they want to improve their work skills otherwise it's not worth it to waste 4,5,6...years draining your parents pockets or even that NSFAS money ain't worth you wasting your time.

I dropped out too and am in a my 4th year with a long list of repeat modules. I work full time and doing the course part time. Part of my reason is that I feel like I owe it to my mom, after dropping out, tuition was still due. I hate school, but enjoy being there... the people I’ve met because of it. I’ve got so many other things I wanna do, for now I just wanna get this over and done with. I’m dragging myself through this

I think in this day and age parents need to accept that school is not for everyone . You do not need a certificate/degree to be classified as a success . Think about it, how many people do you know that have graduated and yet are still unemployed. Being the twin of someone who excelled at school and is currently excelling in varsity is so much pressure especially knowing that school is not for me but also it comes down to what would I be doing instead.

If you want to study something that legally requires you to have certification (engineer, accountant or doctor) go to school. Otherwise learn scarce skills which will allow you to live a comfortable life or be an entrepreneur.

My reasons: Yhu ha a 😩 I really want to graduate, but I’ve dropped out twice and to be honest if it wasn’t for my family I don’t think I’d want to go back. Yes I want to be a graduate and have a young honors to my name, but school is such a traumatic experience for me. That mentally I don’t think I would ever be Ohkay if I went back 😪 School just is not for everyone, now proving it as a creative that I can make it without a price of paper is a fight on its own ✨

I could totally relate to what you said about the feeling of wanting to make your mom proud by graduating but then you quickly think yho ha.a, it’s just not you. So glad you found something you’re passionate about. I feel like sometimes getting a degree is one of those natural progression things that society places on us and oothina who still only have matric feel less than. Much like marriage at a certain stage of life. Don’t get me wrong, education is great, marriage is great but they shouldn’t be this great definer of our lives. And sometimes school is just not for everyone. And that’s okay. Find what you love doing and thrive ❤️

I did a diploma that I’m not even using. I’m an entrepreneur and almost everything I do now I learned through KZfaq. I’m saving up to become qualified in the field and again I wanna do my Btech in business administration... but I’m contemplating on that part cos I feel like I’m born to be an entrepreneur and I’m doing well in it, im afraid I’ll waste money if I study further

Bruce Wayne also went to school for 3 months on average for 10 to 11 years to get information needed for him to become the Super Detective we now know as Batman to help ordinary people and the police to solve crimes and catch criminals. Only go to school for something that will boost you in your mission/passion not simply to have a degree or certification.

I feel the same way i even want to drop out. i'm doing my final year but i hate it. iv been thinking of dropping out since last year. but then i wana graduate to make my parents proud but to think that its taking forever and it gets harder by the day i just feel like im wasting time, feels like my life is stuck.

You have stated valid reasons my guy. I am currently studying honors and I have not yet chashed in on my schooling. It's not assured that education pays. With that said I think it's important to keep an open mind. Let this be an ongoing conversation internally and the people that matter in your life. Yes school is not for everyone BUT most often people go to school because its an expectation from parents and society. most people don't know why they are going to school or the reasons are not aligned with their purpose and core strength and skills. I don't think there is anything wrong with school. if anything many are better businessmen and creatives because of it.

I'm also in school - for my father. He's late. All he ever wanted was from me was that. My passion is to fulfil that. And obviously other things separate from that, So essentially I Stan with one of the comments above. If you find your passion work on that.

I'm looking forwad to the type of content you put out here, talking of going back to school Sibu😥😥 I am here with my incomplete Stellenbosh University application form for a Post Grad Diploma in HIV management, kodwa I am not so sure how ready am I to deal with the stressors of studying and I can't afford failing because it's my money that will be going to waste.😂 This video is having some influence toward my final decision ndiyakxelela.

Honestly, how this was constructed and the reasoning behind not wanting to go to school is totally impecable. I dont want to fully say I dont enjoy school but truly speaking, I do pass my modules but I somehow study what I did not see myself in, in the future (the occupation). Its really conflicting because I constantly need motivation on a daily because I know I can do it but I just dont fully and genuinely enjoy it. Prayed about finding my purpose through this degree and somehow God will place where I need to be placed. Im a final year student currently and graduating (with the hopes still being consistent and through Gods grace) next year. Futhering my studies will INSTANTLY throw me in depression because I am expected to study further but I dont want to. I want to create, Im an artist, model and all round creative. Sometime I feel as though me going to uni is living my parents dreams and not mine. But I know I will be successful one day. Thank you for this video. :)

Babes I graduated with my degree last year and the 3 years during my studies I felt this disconnet you talking about . I'd push myself everytime because I knew I had potential and enjoyed varsity days you know. It was "not too bad" . Guess what? I went ahead and applied for Honors because I felt God hasn't quite responded what my purpose is . I am in the pits, this is the level that requires passion more than hard work . I am mentally drained and it's shocking to literally move from a positive spirit to someone who just rejects this whole "I'll bullshit my mood to get the work done" . This is where you deal with the real issues . My advice to you , please please take your time and think about it . Talk to a professional if you have to, not someone academic, oh trust me the varsity staff will throw you in for the money plus they are scholars because they actually love doing what they do you know . So get someone with a broadened perspective and if you actually pursue your studies then get advice on what honors you can follow that is in line with your hearts desires. 🎆

The only reason I'm in school is because of my family and even if I did drop out I wouldn't have anything else to do. But I totally agree with being a bad scholar. I just don't enjoy academic activities,I haven' for years

I think what makes us "want" to go back to school is bc as a generation we're mostly into school, getting a degree, doing Hons, masters etc etc it never ends so when you see someone graduating you're like "maybe I should go back" but also for me it's more of a thing to pass time, you know when you meet an old friend & you have no kid/not married so you "substitute" that with " I have Masters/ I'm doing my PhD" 💀💀 maybe it's just me

You and me both Maxaba... I've looked as Sibus reasons and seen that they don't fit for me ... I actually like Academia and test really well, I now have the time and most importantly the mental fortitude to go back and try again so I will... Been dissatisfied and disappointed with myself since I dropped even though I understand why it wasn't healthy for me to force myself to soldier on at the time... But I know being a Graduate... Maybe even a Lecturer at some point has always been stuck to my psyche and future identity... I robbed myself ( albeit temporarily) when I left...I'm nervous about going back ( I know the coming hardships) but there's no doubts or question about it...I AM, I CANT NOT
