Where is the fiber in meat, which is actually a good source to keep healthy. Don't brainwash everyone by saying eating meat is healthy and what others eat is not. Everyone has their own way of diet and lifestyle, they still stay healthy. Either vegetarian or non-vegetarian or vegan, you need to have a balanced diet by taking proper protein, fiber and carb. With proper exercise and fasting (intermittent fasting may help) we can stay fit and healthy. This podcast is just nonsense to promote meat by saying what others eat is not healthy.

Few years back I moved from Northeast of India to Delhi, before I moved there I was lean and had a athletic body. In the Northeast diet is mostly meat combined with some local veggies which are mostly boiled or fried using the animals fat . Few years in Delhi, my lean body disapperaed and I had this huge belly fat because of all the carbs I consumed and amount of fried oil i ate. Then came the constant feeling of tirednesss and depression also craved in. I was always fatigued and depressed and didnt know what the reasons was. Then lockdown happend and I moved back home and began eating the diet I was before Delhi and noticed that in a few months my fatigue and depression slowly started disappearing and it felt great and so to complement that development I began working out as well and following mixed carnivore diet. Now im back to being lean and athletic and never felt so great. Diet is important but diet varies for people. What may work for me many not work for you. All the best to those trying to find whats best for them including those on a vegetarian diet.

Well I think it's common sense that eating eating mad carbs and fried foods is going to do that to you lol. People seem to equate vegetarianism with basically friend foots and potatoes. I'm a Punjabi Hindu, like most of the NW I grew up vegetarian and still am vegetarian. I don't have any issues, my hemoglobin is better than my meat eating friends, stomach is lean, etc. Now if I go out and eat a bunch of samose and fried paneer then yes I'm going to definitely start feeling fatigued, put on weight, etc. The point is that it isn't so much about eating meat vs not eating meat. It's about how are you eating your foods. If you started frying your meat everyday and eating let's say 1 cup of it every meal with minimal vegetables, or better yet vegetables made in heavy oil and/or butter, see how you feel. It'll probably be a repeat of what you felt in Delhi. Now if you cook your foods lightly, better yet boil them, season them with a light hand and eat it fresh, you're going to feel better damn good.

Jokes aside, she coached me for 4 months and I was probably her worst client (didn’t log my meals most of the times) and I still lost 10 kgs or more and sizeable amount of inches. People noticed it. For vegetarians :- Legit protein sources - Legumes have some protein but have complex carbohydrates. Dairy good for you, Paneer, Milk, Curd, Hung Curd, Greek yogurt - Amino acid profile completed. Supplement, you will need. Like B12 (meat based), Vitamin D. Whey Protein (As supplement not as meal replacement). This will cover 60-70% of your need for nutrition. Then layer it with :- Non starchy vegetables. Lentils and legumes. Finally carbohydrates (If you are healthy).

Well I think it's common sense that eating eating mad carbs and fried foods is going to do that to you lol. People seem to equate vegetarianism with basically friend foots and potatoes. I'm a Punjabi Hindu, like most of the NW I grew up vegetarian. Incidentally most of India's wrestlers come from my state of Punjab and of course areas of historically Greater Punjab prior to trifurcation in the 1960s- Haryana and Himachal. I began eating lots of chicken into my young adulthood because of the protein craze. I'm talking like every single day I wanted chicken and was eating it for at least 10 years multiple meals a day. Became anemic, felt sluggish, depressed, etc. Decided to go back to being vegetarian once I'd had enough and literally had no energy to get through a day despite telling myself I was eating lots of protein so I should feel great yet clearly didn't. Now I'm back to being vegetarian for the past 6 yeras. I don't have any issues now, my hemoglobin is better than my meat eating friends, stomach is lean, etc. It'll probably be a repeat of feeling sluggish and completely gross. Now if you cook your foods lightly, better yet boil them, season them with a light hand and eat it fresh, you're going to feel better damn good. I do also think that certain people have genetic tendencies and bodies better equipt to be vegetarian. For example, they say blood type B does better with a vegetarian diet than a meat based one, which I incidentally am a blood type B. Regardless, I think the bigger factor is what you grow up eating and what your ancestors ate is what your genetics is best equipped to process and feel good at. I know lots of meat eaters to transitioned to being vegetarian and felt great and many who also felt like complete sh/t. It's all about a balanced diet and making sure you get all your nutrients from fresh well nutritious sources. Not hating on anyone, but this whole vegan craze is going to end badly for people. Vegetarians need milk, paneer, ghee, etc for healthy fats. Cut that out and you're effectively going to be a machine running on low with no good cholesterol in your system.

Just a question. How to decide the amount of protein to be taken? I mean people nowadays are taking so much protein without doing much of physical work. Highprotein diets could destroy kidneys, too.
@abhinavr5533
@abhinavr5533 Жыл бұрын
Your body has a powerful protein appetite and that is the cause of cravings and overconsumption of carbs & ultra-processed food. Your body will want to eat until you get enough protein! Your body also has a powerful mechanism that tells you when it has gotten enough protein and nutrition. Which is why you can't eat meat/eggs beyond a certain amount. The amount of protein is decided by these bodily signals. If you have enough protein, you'll automatically feel satiated and will have less cravings for savoury snacks throughout the day. If you are eating too much, your body will automatically make sure you can't. Unless you are stuffing a ridiculously high amount of protein 200 gm+ (which you are welcome to try if you are able), one need not worry about kidneys. Numerically, 70-100 gm is optimum. More would be better if trying to gain muscle.

Her words, "Everytime media and influencers start promoting something, it hasn't turned put well" is true even for protein requirements and the announcements that vegetarians and Indians are at a disadvantage. India doesn't have a protein problem, it has a problem of malnourishment at one end, gluttony at the other end and the two ends having long thick tails, leaving a very small people in the middle.

1:26:49 I've heard from a psychologist that it's the older evolutionary mechanism that we are stuck with. Predators were the main instantaneous danger prehistoric humans had, so they run to escape because of the adrenaline and then they calm down after escape. The 'dangers' we now face are not things that we need to literally 'run' from, but we are stuck with the unupdated version of our stress response. So, if you get anxious or stressed about something, your body needs to go through some kind of cardio movement and increase of heartrate to signal the adrenaline to go back down to normal state, calm down. We probably do stuff like pacing around because of this.

I believe in low carb but I am an emissions expert as well. I am not going to promote red meat. As far as I agree to low carb but no way, the emissions from the farms are too much today agriculture and farms are producing CH4 are one of the major contributors to the emissions. Which is even more dangerous if we start promoting beef then it will be similar what happened in US and Brazil the whole demographic structure will be imbalanced once business come into play, they will start cutting down forests inorder to graze and the amount of fresh water required would be huge.
@SalakkoSangma-bp2ug

I agree with you on this, factory farming and rearing is bad and so is industrial agriculture that kills the entire ecosystem. But I also have been researching holistic grazing and farming and I believe this can offset the amount of emissions and also restore the ecology. Holistic grazing is the most humane and also ecologically sound and can also help trap the carbon back to the soil.

I see many vegitarian people better health than non-vegetarian.many non-vegetarian people having b-12 issue.

Have you analysed their diet proportions? Even a non-vegetarian in India mostly eats only grain, legumes etc. and meat only occassionally.

Absorption of b12 also depends on gut health and most of the regular non vegetarians have gut issue. So they do not absorb b12 properly. And also the theory of b12 only in non veg food is a myth. Fermented food also contains b12.

B12 is found in soil bacteria and has nothing to do with meat, as where would the animals who eat grass get it from

As said diet or food is a source to fuel the body and brain. It doesn't have to part of identity, so there is no need of replacement like what to eat with dal or paneer
