The practice of sati was out and out the decision of the wife herself and NO ONE could force her. It was her decision to get remarried or live the life of a widow or commit sati. The Mughal empire brought in the practice of covering the face and the whole pallu shit, nowhere in India's history were women ever asked to cover their faces. The Mughals, marrying the rajputi wives of that time forced them to follow their ideologies which created the face covering practice that some parts still follow. India, even if not taken in the so called Sanatan context, was the most advanced civilization before the invaders. While people in the west were busy trying to learn to create mere tools, we had a whole drainage system running throughout cities we developed. And lastly, Sanatana Dharma is not a religion. Everyone is born sanatan, you believing in god is sanatan, you not believing in god is sanatan. sanatan means eternal, and sanatan dharma in itself is just acceptance.

Baaki India history ke multiple versions padho, sanskrit seekho, ved padho, upnishad pado, puran padho, ramayan, mahabharat aur geeta padho. Understanding develop karo. India mein to bohot jagahon pe non-veg khana Hindu communities mein rivaaj h. Bohot tyohaaron mein bakre ki bali dete h. To phir zabardasti veg ka rule kyun agar aapko koi non-veg khaane ke liye zabardasti nhi kar raha h? Why should government make rules for eating vegetarian food on certain days when not all the Hindus necessarily eat veg on those days? Dikkat isse h ki sirf kuch states ke culture ko badhawa mil raha. Forget Muslims. Even Hindus from many states are not finding our culture reflected.

Very true. TLDR; it's a trend. The state of the world (i.e., the thought process,ideas and culture) follows a cycle. Majority of the people can not think, of themselves or the world around them, critically. They follow the herd. If theres a trend towards right wing, they will follow that. Later, if theres a trend towards left wing, they will follow that. This is just following the herd. That is why, historically, intellectuals are mostly from the unorthodox ideas.

The problem is there is an imbalance that is created. We need both the sides to be present for a successful country. i suggest you to read the book 1984. The world today and especially our country resembles a lot to the world in 1984. Ofcourse our country has not seen that bad of a authoritarian policies but i expect it to increase over the years. It's really scary, the way youth today is blindly following and promoting radicle religious ideas. We all know, when religion supercedes constitutional laws, what kind of damage it can do to people. And this is true for all existing religions. From middle east to Europe in middle ages and throughout Asia, whenever religion has gained more power than the natural laws on the land, it has always destroyed lives and entire civilizations. Knowing, understanding, accepting and being proud of one's religion is beautiful, until it entiles or urges one to be violent to those who don't share his views! It was high time, someone had the guts to speak up about this, and i am glad the you had the courage to do so. Bravo for this video. I completely agree with you. I am a psychology student. And nowadays I have seen the problem in youth that they are actually socially disconnected. I am not talking about virtual world, but the real world. Teenagers are even why to talk to someone, even though he is his neighbour or previously known one. So they themselves face ignorance, avoidance and hesitation to express themselves socially. In this ground, religious activities like- pujo, onusthan-etc held them to gather and at least face the society. Our religious identity has a great role here. So it is very important and if someone says, why you are talking about dharma, or mandir. Why not arguing for hospital and school. Then simply ask him/her that why you don't donate your own house for charitable work and orphan home? This kind of people are inspired from the western teachings and almost have forgotten their roots. But always remember guys, our culture gives us identity and differentiates us from each other. Hospital and school is important as well as the mandir. It gives us non-material spiritual peace and a greater connection beyond the limitation of self. Without this, prosocial behaviour would reach extinction

Also, being a Hindu also means acknowledging that India has multiple sects within Hinduism- Shaiva, Shakta and Vaishnav. Both veg and non-veg is legit even for many religious practices. Shakta puja vidhi mein bali hoti h- jaise ki navratri, Durga Puja, ekvira maai, aur Kali Puja mein aur bohot se devi mandiro mein. Bohot saare devtaon ke mandir mein bhi bakre ki bali aam baat h aur use prasad mein grahan karte h. Hum utne diverse h, par hum sabhi ka samman karte aye h. We should be just aware of that and be tolerant to others.

Very similar to me some of my so called ex friends did the same no matter what i would do they even reject my faith which i tried but learned it will never be enough as they now wanted me to despise my family but my family had saved my life when i was little why would i hate on them. That started me down me rediscovering my faith thus now after reading many scriptures and books by dr meenakshi jain, j sai deepak, rajiv malhotra etc i moved fully to the hindu dharmic fold. As a Hindu, what I've seen is that the youth is not becoming more religious in the sense that they are not really reading books and scriptures, but the current government gives them this strong identity (of being against the Muslims), and that gives them a sense of belonging and purpose , which is driven by hate for Muslims, and they hence have something to be part of and proud of. I'm not for or against this, but just saying there's not much passion for religious education among the youth. Just my observation.

We all have clearly seen what other religions are capable of for centuries, no doubt in that. This is the Hindu/Sanatani century and the core indigenous/original/oldest culture of this country, which gave identity to South Asia, let alone India.
