Please speak about the mentality of the people who decides to cross the border as a undocumented immigrant. Because if you have around 50 lacks to just cross the border (As a undocumented immigrant after going through so much deadly efforts), why not stay in India and do something worth living!

And the fun fact is , Punjabis are so proud of reaching USA in this way and they even had songs about this to flex (sad but true) here in India ( particularly in punjab) the boys don't even complete their basic education. They know that they will go USA anyway

Few days back, i was watching an Instagram reel, how a guy crossed the mexico border and there was a term donkey, that time i couldn't understand much but asked my mamu about it and he elaborated the whole illegal crossing in the US and mexico. Finally u came up with this well researched video🙌

"Spend money on education" It's a great advice coming from a person who had the resources to go to school. Was probably smart enough to even get a scholarship to help lower his University lodging and boarding expenses. Same happens at Russia/Serbia border. They don't allow Indian to cross across the border as Indian are known to run 🏃💨away and settle illegally in European Union. You literally have to show your Bank Balance and background just to cross the border. If you look at name list of people who crossed illegally, the Indian name are all Punjabi names.

bro I'll clear one thing , donky is popular in North India and some gujrati also did. moreover, Masses from other countries like Africa , Bangladesh, srilanka, Pakistan and few from Central Asia. I'll tell you about India especially Punjab, Haryana and a handful of Gujarati . people who have long gaps in studies are not able to get student visas. adding to this, many are influenced by earning living to support and make life so they tends to take risk and do this kind of things. not only youngs but people in late 30 or early 40 also doing same.

This video is so fuckin true. I myself crossed the border in 2019 actually i was scammed byy agent. I paid 12k and then was asked to pay 25k i was barely 19 yrs old then and had no money to pay so i came to know about donkey and directly went to Mexico worked there for 4 months and tried to know more about donkey and made friends who used to help in crossing the border. I myself saw people dying in front of me . I was so devastated and scared. But made it to USA

I'm a sikh who came to US to attend a top-5 university to study Computer Science. It's already been 5+ years in US, have a high paying job, but I will have to wait 50+ years to get a Green Card simply because I was born in India. On the other hand, anyone who jumps the border and claims asylum gets his Green Card in 1 year max. The US immigration system is broken where people who follow the law are punished. I don't blame people from Punjab for doing this. In the end asylum is a legal right and people are gonna abuse it if systems like these exist. Most of the these people who came through asylum are enjoying their free privileges while I'm stuck in a lifetime visa limbo. US needs to fix this if they actually care about legal immigration rather than just blame people who try to take advantage via asylum.

One of my relative has also gone. The 50 lack you counted for those 150 days is mostly managed by some or the other relatives which are already living there in the US and they keep that person with them. And it is not only the lower middld class but jatts, rajputs and zamindars are also chosing this way because most of those have been raised in villages, weak in studies and some involved in drugs so they barely have some skill to earn money here or to clear IELTS exam for study visa. Adding an array of other reasons like pressure from relatives, expectation of bright future everything push them to take this step. PS: - The relative I told has gone has got PR in US...
