Deflation means the economy is shrinking or economic slow down. When the economy slows down, there's a need to make some budget cuts. They do layoffs. The best we can do for now is reduce the cost of goods by making manufacturing cheaper, reducing cost of living is something we've been battling for a while.

It's not really a true claim. Investors are not getting rich because of inflation. A few might be betting right and making a profit but in general, all other things equal, inflation is also bad for most investors. If they're doing great they can break even, meaning they've beaten inflation and instead of losing value they're keeping it the same. And it looks like they're getting tons of money on paper but if portfolio goes up 50% over a period of 50% inflation that's 0 actual profit.
@ace9840
@ace9840 19 күн бұрын
@@gorkyd7912 Agree. In the mid eighties it was clear that inflation wasn’t going to keep up with inflation. For example if you look at things like home prices, student tuition, and healthcare over the last few decades have been far outpacing the cost of inflation by hundreds of percent. And in recent years we see that in everything from food to rents and taxes. My goal for years has been keeping up and or beating inflation. But first I had to study it to understand the problem can’t fix a problem if you don’t understand it.
