Hey everyone - sorry for the lack of uploads lately. Life has been pretty rough the past few months in so many respects and my motivation has been shot. Slowly figuring out how to get back on the horse, reinvigorate my passion and bring you all some Star Wars and KOTOR content worthy of your time. Please bear with me, I appreciate you all.

dont feel the need to make this constant regular content. I'd rather you take your time on making some good videos than just throwing videos out for the sake of it like most content creators. Not saying this one is bad, I enjoyed it but does feel a tad rushed. Hope things get better soon too.

It is unfortunate OBSIDIAN did not make it an item to wear. I think it would have been interesting if it was wearable only if you were 95% or above aligned to the Dark Side with some exotic power. I would like to think that was their intention; but were in such a rush that they could not complete it.

The skull theory make sense, and if this was a fully realized cannon idea (and we know Obisidian didn't manage to make this game the way they intended) it would probably be possible to craft a mask out of his skull, but wouldn't be a wearable item without some tinkering. Good luck for the crafter thought! Nihilus' mask would probably possess him on the spot. 😅

I agree (with the skull theory). I always thought of NIhilus as some kind of lich, a type of d&d monster that was once a mortal mage but turn himself into an sentient undead to obtain immortality, and the more ancient the lich got, more of his undead body decay to the point of turn into bone dust except for the skull. The most powerful liches are nothing more than a skull wearing a dark mage robe through magic... the parallels with Nihilus to me here is obvious, there's even some rare dialogue with Kreia in the game where she admits her suspicious in this regard, that he probably doesn't have a physical body anymore. Congratulations for being the first KZfaqr to bring this theory up. 👍🏻

Super excited to be him for Halloween this year. Had a mask with skull support 3D printed and painted. Put his voice files on a voicebox and using a fancy lightsaber from saberforge. Kids will think I'm a statue until I speak and my lightsaber activates.

@@ZorroCeleste1 It was awesome, I used it again this last year, mostly because I didn't have time to come up with something new. Sure enough, I held still enough that the kids thought I was a statue so when I ignited my lightsaber there was a little bit of screaming and running away. Had a few fun lightsaber fights with the kids. Mask and voicebox I have makes the whole thing badass!

Fascinating and amazing video as always my friend. It's too bad that we don't know the origins of the mask of Darth Nihilus like the mask of Revan. The theory that Nihilus's mask could be a death mask is interesting

Actually the theory is not that far from the Star Wars canon. In the Darth Vader comics, Darth Momin put his essence into a mask or helmet. Where when a lucky or unlucky individual would put the helmet on? Would literally become over powered by his being and suddenly be possessed by Darth Momin. So in a way; the parallels with Darth Nihilus is not that far again for it to be coincidence. Or that both are more parallel from each other.

And here I thought it simply was because his favourite pokémon was Cubone, so he took "inspiration" from that and me his own (mother) skull mask.

The Hendanyn Death Mask concept is very cool. I would think of Darth Nihilus's mask not as a power item but as a Holocron of sorts. His story is in the mask and the wearer/holder of the mask I imagine would determine the effects of the mask for them. Being near the mask would trigger its power I think in an inverse square law kind of way and wearing the mask would trigger the strongest effects. A sith would be blind to the lessons and become increasingly like Darth Nihilus in mentality and strength, becoming weakened, and a jedi would become imbued with the wisdom the mask possesses and increase in strength.

I love your videos especially The One where you talk about wheter or not Revan is The Chosen One of the old republic 🔥. Can you please do a video on whether or not Anakin was responsable for his own misery. My opinion :The jedi shoulndt allow attachements and stay the way they were, many in the Sw community hate the jedi and Yoda saying that the non attachement thing was bad.But they forget that Anakin was an exeption and that it was during The prequal era that the least number of the jedi would fall to the dark side.

The idea of Nihilus’ mask being like the Johnny Silverhand (Cyberpunk 2077) engram of Star Wars is a pretty sick idea.

I don't know why but an example that came to mind regarding how the mask could be Nihilus spirit is that one Simpsons' Threehouse of Horror story where Snake is executed and Homer receives his hair in a hair transplant and the hair starts possessing and controlling his actions :v

I like the phylactery / horcrux theory on the mask but you wouldn’t want to keep that on you.. and you would survive as long as the mask does.. but my best guess is the skull of someone formerly important to him, potentially family, to solidify the death of his humanity

I'd read that at one point it was meant to be Revan's skull, but they scrapped the idea. If true, it had to have been very early on.

I agree on the story telling possibilities! I mean the entire time playing the MMO the sith emperor crap does my head in how many times we going to get a sith possessing people 🙄! Could easily of brought nihlus in as the main bad guy by saying multiple masks held his power or spirit! He's a better bad guy and him coming back is more believable than OH LOOK ANOTHER IMMORTAL Out of nowhere like an RKO 😑

Imagine bringing back a monster like nihilus back into disney canon lol, nihilus gets beaten by a 12 year old girl that barely can move a stone with the force lol, i really hope disney does not touch KOTORII ever, even his mask is somewhere out there in current canon era, i really hope disney leaves it where it is.

I'm doing a KOTOR table top RPG, and Nihilus is the main bad guy. The party has yet to encounter him, but the next session they will have to survive while trapped on a space station with him hunting them down.

Characters returning in General are problematic Nihilus expecally because he isn't like Sion you don't talk to him or otherwise, if he would "return" you can't change (destroy in your small mind) that he is a force of nature who can't be reason with.

If that mask was the reason of Exile's downfall in the terrible Revan novel- I would buy Exile losing much better, especially with proper setup in the book. Sadly we can't expect basic, child-like understanding of KOTOR 2 from Drew Fatshyn, much less something as fancy as incorporating KOTOR 2 lore in his assbook.
